Luis raised a brow at Xagrien.

’What is up with this guy? Did something happen during his conversation with his friends? Did they tell him off and stay away from me?’ Luis’ thoughts are spiraling out of control all because Xagrien’s action is a little bit more pleasing today.

As far as he can remember, nodding and humming are Xagrien’s kind of pleasantries.

’This is weird.’ Luis thought. He looked at others’ expressions and apparently, everyone except Rean thought so too.

Everyone’s wide eyes are glued to the young four-star warrior.

[What is wrong with you, Xagrien?] The Moon Elf Lord worriedly asked via telepathy.

However, Xagrien only smiled a little. A really tiny smile that is stretching his lips for a centimeter. After this, he walked towards Luis’ side and stood there.

But the shock was far from over. Xagrien then said to everyone, in that expressionless face that he is known for, "I apologize if I interrupted the meeting. Please, you can continue now."

If it was dark, then crickets would be heard in this silence.

Legland’s composed self is nowhere to be found for the first time and he stared with an open mouth. Nicol looks lost with his forehead wrinkled with three folds. Olyn dropped the pouch that contains black soil to the ground.

All three of them know that Xagrien is not usually like this.

Only Rean appears unbothered since he knew very little about this guy.

"What the hell?" Luis could only say. What a way to steal the scene. He is certain that something must have happened between Xagrien and his friends. But what did they talk about that made Xagrien act so out of character?

"I told them, My Lord." The male declared it clear enough to be heard by anyone.

Luis’ looked at Xagrien with suspicion. Of course, he knows that. Actually, even without telling it, anyone would know that they have a relationship once they witnessed how the two of them made out.

The moon elf lord’s eyes turned into slits. Is this Xagrien’s hint that he should throw a proper introduction for him as his boyfriend?

Luis doesn’t have any intention to hide it in the first place. ’Why act so desperate now, Xagrien?’

To others, desperation is invisible on Xagrien’s face. It is still and unchanging. But for Luis, he knows that something is going on underneath that facade. Just look at the red tips on the male’s pointy ears. It says everything.

Despite the urge to tease the male, Luis decided to come clean now.

"I know that this is out of the agenda but I just want to let you guys know that I am to-together with this male now." Luis overestimated his confidence, he didn’t expect that he would stutter in the middle of saying it! He could feel the heat creeping in his face.

No need to look in the mirror. He knows that he is blushing profusely right now!

"Xagrien and I are lovers now." He also added as though this term is familiar to his subordinates.

Luis isn’t aware the moon elves have a very simple courtship ritual. It’s basically a ’you like me? I like you so let’s mate’ process.

"My lord, the two of you are mates now?" Nicol asked with confusion. Although the Moon Elves do courtship quickly, they need to declare that they are mates through a Mating Ceremony in front of the clan patriarch or temple priest present before it is recognized by anyone.

But this is too sudden and no one should know it. Besides, the other is their precious Moon Elf Lord. It should be done in the most extravagant way possible!

Nicol’s gaze passed Legland and realized that there was no shock in the male’s reaction.

"You knew?!" He exclaimed.

This inevitably caught Luis’ attention and even he was shocked.

"No? But there is a foreshadowing that it will end up this way so I kind of figured it out." Legland explained. "Unlike you, I am mated to someone. Experience taught me."

"I agree," Rean seconded.

Nicol’s face was paralyzed. This couple strikes him where it hurts most!

"Not yet but we are threading that path." Luis said with his cheeks red. He could feel the penetrating stares on his side.

"En," He heard the brute agree.

"We are still getting to know each other in a much deeper sense," the moon elf lord added.

’Yes, Luis. Making out is your way of saying hello and french kissing is the same as a handshake for the two of you.’ the villainous side of his conscience chided.

"I see, My Lord. Thank you for telling that to us ahead of time. I really appreciate your trust in me," Nicol said after carefully thinking about it. "I wish you your happiness."

The others also expressed their well wishes. Luis could feel the fleeting touch of Xagrien against his hand. The male must be relieved and happy.

"Wait, my lord. I don’t understand!" Olyn looked genuinely befuddled. ’Isn’t the moon elf lord still a child at this point? Not even a month passed since his birth! How come he is about to be mated now?!’

Rean saw this reaction so he took the initiative to approach Olyn and said that he will explain it outside. The two left, leaving the four.

"Pardon Olyn, my lord if he is sometimes silly." Nicol said. "I took him as your servant because he is a real hard worker and he has this natural nurturing instinct so I deemed him fit for a newborn moon elf lord."

"He is probably like that because he still sees you as a newborn."

"There is no need to apologize. I like Olyn the most. Besides, I am supposedly immature at this period of my growth as the Moon Elf Lord. I am just above normal even compared to the previous lords. I apologize if that caught you off guard." Luis helplessly smiled. He could feel the stares from his side. ’What are you looking at so fiercely, Xagrien?’

"No, my lord. If it weren’t for your exceptional condition as the moon elf lord, I am afraid that we will not be able to survive the recent attack." Legland declared.

As one of the warriors who fought that Stone Golem, he knew that he cannot beat that with his current strength. They will die one after another until they can only abandon their territory.

"That is the same with me, my lord." Nicol quickly added, "You are my role model. During the time when we were facing the beast tide, I was about to issue a ruthless order to kill all the beasts in order to save us the trouble but you made me realize that we can think of other alternative ways to achieve better results that are favorable to everyone. You are the moon elf lord that we need."

"We will support your plans that you have for tomorrow. No matter what." The two current head figures of the Moon Elf Race gave a bold declaration of support.

And Luis could never ask for more. The moon elf lord explained to them his plans and they could only express their surprise on their faces.

"So would you like to accompany me on this journey?" Luis asked them. He caught the hand that’s been running on the back of his hand since earlier.

"Yes, my lord!"

Xagrien held his hand tightly.

’Okay, that is the answer that I wanted.’ Luis smiled.

That day, scrolls and wooden boards are flying around the moon elf lord’s room. The map of the entire Amber Forest is sprawled on the bed. In this small house in Adriha Clan’s territory, the fate of the 13 clans is decided. And they are just the beginning.
