Chapter 446 - 446 System talk with hubby___1

446: System talk with hubby___1 446: System talk with hubby___1 Unexpectedly, Caishen slept all the way to the early morning and when he woke up, he was in a state of confusion, nursing a minor headache like someone with a hungover after a long night of binge drinking.

Alix was right there by his side with a cup of hot coffee in her hands.

On the bedside table more coffee was in a vacuum cup, waiting for Caishen whenever he woke up.

“Goodmorning hubby.” she greeted cheerfully.

“Hmmm…What time is it?” “Eight thirty.”  Caishen sat up and rubbed his eyes, wondering how he had slept for so long.

He had an alarm clock set for six everyday, did it fail to work last night?

“I turned that alarm off because Biming told me that you don’t have any early morning meetings or urgent matters to handle at work.

I figured we should spend the morning together and start our discussion from where we left off.”  She unscrewed the vacuum cup and handed it to him.

Without bothering to leave the bed, she dragged her bag closer and got a tray onto which she piled all sorts of breakfast accompaniments like bread, croissants, sausages, cakes, waffles and more.

She even brought out honey, jam and fruits.

As she did this, Caishen’s memories of the last conversation they had returned.

As for the bag, he was already familiar with its special qualities but the quantity of food related items kept in there surprised him.

Did she fill it with nothing but food?

Was she preparing for and apocalypse or something?

He accepted the piece of buttered toast with jam which she handed to him.

“Thank you.”  Alix bit into her own piece and decided to start the inevitable dialogue.

“So, do we talk about it now or later?”  “It makes no difference so now is as good as any.” he answered.

“What happened to me last night?” “I changed into a dragon and you fainted.” His head snapped up and some of the coffee he had sipped trickled out from his mouth.

Alix put down her toast, picked up a wipe and cleaned the side of his mouth.

“I was not born a dragon hubby, it’s just a reward of the system.

I am the one who set the fires at Lai Yanfang’s apartment, Yu Xi’s as well.

I guess that’s how the government tracked me down.

That and the poison which we gave the prosecutor general.

The poison which Lai Yanfang’s assasins used on the second elder is not from this world so it’s impossible for the antidote to be from this world as well.

I got it from my world….the world of my system specifically.

The prosecutor general is involved with the bureau of systems.

He was probably the one that confirmed or exposed my identity.

Oh…and they have been watching me, two others that can morph into animals, one is a bird and the other an insect.

If you see any creature in an unusual situation just know that it’s probably a system host.

Can you believe that Aang is also a system host like me?

Wow, you think you know someone but it turns out you know nothing at all.

At this rate, i don’t think anyone can be trusted because you never know who could have a system or who is in the fold.” She just babbled on about this and that, sharing as much as she knew about the others while trying to make it sound as normal as she could.

When she was finished, they had cleared away half of the contents on the tray and not even Caishen could not explain to himself how he had been able to eat that much in minutes and he was still eating.

He pinched one of the ice berries and popped it.

It’s juices splashed onto his face and his arm.

Normally he would look for a tissue immediately and wipe away the sweet sticky fluids but he did not make any such move.

This prompted Alix to ask the blue elf if she had broken him.

Caishen picked up another and he put the cold berry in his mouth.

“So, these fruits are from another world which you access through your system.” “Yes.” Alix nodded.

“This is the only unique fruit here, everything else is similar to what we already have here on earth.

Aside from the otherworld fruits being slightly bigger and a little bit more potent in taste, there truly is no difference.

Have you tried planting seeds from here in that other world to see what becomes of them?

I think it could be an interesting research project.” She tapped his thigh to draw his attention and bring him back from science and research angle.

“Hubby, don’t you want to discuss the dragon at all?”  She couldn’t decided if he was uninterested or avoiding the topic.

At the end of the day, the dragon was a part of her and she didn’t know how she would react to him treating it as a nonexistent issue.

He sighed loudly and nodded.

“Aah, that dragon, more specifically…your dragon.

I suppose i should start by asking how you became a dragon?

Is it something in your genes now?

“No, it’s not in my genes and i cannot pass it down to any children i …we, could have.

It’s a separate entity from me but i merge with it whenever need be.

I do a lot of fighting in my system world so being a dragon comes in handy a lot of time.” “In this world too.” he muttered.

Alix knew what he meant automatically.

It was those fires she had set.

“I am not a pyromaniac or anything.

In comparison to what my system had suggested i do to those people, the fire was letting them off lightly.”  She had addressed the part about the system communicating with her in her mind.

It explained the few times he had seen her talking to herself or the moments when she talked on the phone and yet the phone had not rung.

He was very curious about the system and what it was.

“What did your system suggest?”  “Are you sure you want to know?”  He nodded.

“Won’t you faint again?” she teased.

He rolled his eyes at her.

This was definitely another tidbit in their life that she was going to used to tease him for the rest of their lives.

“That was a fluke.” he told her.

“Okay then, my system suggested that i burn them alive or bite their heads off.

I could also have cut off their heads with just one dragon claw or maybe stomped them to death with one dragon foot.”  For each suggestion she made, Caishen drew the scenario in his mind and he winced, making an ugly face to express just how horrible all those ways to die were.

He tilted his head and expressed his confusion next.

“I don’t get it.

You have access to this world and you can make use of this dragon so why haven’t you used these tools to punish your…no, they are not your family anymore.”
