The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system -
Chapter 440 - 440 Show me yours
440: Show me yours.
440: Show me yours.
“You need to calm down this is not a dinner buffet you greedy little thing.” The nom nom sounds were too distracting and too loud.
Also, they were a little annoying.
“We are not going to eat their systems.” On second thought she added, “Not unless they attack us first.” Maggie and Mantis turned back to Alix and looked at her with smiles on their faces.
“So, will you admit to having a system or not?” Alix folded her arms and leaned back in the chair., maintaining the neutral look on her face.
She was excited to learn about other system users and she definitely wanted to know about this history of systems.
Also, she was curious about what watchers were.
But, she still had to maintain the first rule of the system, keeping it a secret.
“I can neither confirm nor deny those allegations.” “Lie about what i am.” The blue elf told her.
“They cannot know that you could possibly access high tech worlds in future or they will try to use you.
Just go with their assumption.” This was a fact that she knew as well.
If they knew that she could get weapons like the ones from the third world, they would expect her to offer them up.
Even the energy cores from the fourth world which were rumored to give people abilities like super speed, pyrokinesis, super strength, flight and other super abilities.
If they knew she could bring such things over, they would ask her to do so.
She had seen movies where countries tried to make super soldiers and some of the things she could get her hands on were super soldier creating materials.
Mantis leaned forward and told her, “You should know that there are good system hosts and bad ones.
Everyone with a system has suffered some tragedy in their life and some take advantage of the systems to get revenge on the entire world.
Some use them to make money in all the wrong ways.
Others want to overturn this world and create a new one, a world which is ruled by system hosts.” “Oh boy.” Alix whispered.
The situation started to sound a lot more serious than she thought previously.
If some hosts were trying to take over the world, then she needed to be powerful enough to protect herself and her family.
She was definitely not on the side of the world dominators, earth was not perfect but a few people with systems ruling over others would not make things better.
“Usually, there is no such thing as a bad system but the problem is the host.
I am not saying all systems are good but….” Mantis was trying to explain but Maggie jumped in because he couldn’t see the destination she was trying to arrive at.
Perhaps this was why watchers were not the best people to introduce other system hosts into the fold.
“Let’s stick to facts first before anything else.
We already know about the dragon, there is a rumor about a rabbits foot and pregnancies, the goods in your mall which are a little too different from the things on earth.
You even have a fruit shop in your mall selling ice berries, a variety which doesn’t exist here.
And then there is the beef jerky which has more nutrients than the meat in our world.” His voice tightened and he repeated the question.
“Do you have a system or not?” Taking the advise of the blue elf, she nodded.
Mantis sighed loudly and she sunk into the chair.
Step one had been accomplished.
“Great.” Maggie sighed as well.
“Prove it.” he told her.
She smirked and shook her head.
“You prove yourselves first.
All you have done is tell me about other system hosts but you haven’t proven this fact.
Show me yours and i will show you mine.” Mantis looked over her shoulder and she yelled.
“Hey, pretty boy, come out.
She wants proof that we are who we say we are.” She at Alix and said, “Some people have cooler systems than others.
Maggie and I, we have one of the most common types.” The pretty boy Mantis had called was none other than Aang.
His handsome face was riddled with frown lines when he approached them.
Even when he frowned, he somehow maintained his good looks.
Alix heard the collective sighs from people around them when he walked over.
One of the individuals that was sighing happened to be her system.
She chuckled softly.
As expected of Aang’s good looks, even systems could be smitten.
“I told you not to call me pretty.” he said to Maggie.
Then, he put a hand on Maggie’s shoulder and a pinkish light that was like visible lightning appeared and they vanished.
“Woah!” Alix explained.
Before she could process the shock, they reappeared and both of them were wearing different outfits.
“What the fruit!” Alix exclaimed.
“He has a teleportation system.” Mantis shared.
Alix put a hand on her head and she squeezed her eyes shut for a few seconds, firmly ignoring the return of the nom, nom, sounds in her head.
He could basically move from one place to another in a heart beat.
All this while, she had been around him and she never sensed it.
Even her system didn’t sense it at all.
“Would you like to have his abilities?” her system asked.
“Let’s try not to turn me into the most villainous system host in the world.” she answered.
She opened her eyes and looked at him.
He gave her a thumbs up and walked away without addressing the many unvoiced questions she had.
“Pretty boy is cool, right?” Mantis asked her.
“He has been ranked the most handsome system host in every country for five years in a row now and he hates it.
There is this woman from Australia, that has some kind of wildlife system that helps her tame even the most ferocious animals in the world.
She has a tv show…Living wild, anyway, she has been trying to get into his pants for three years now.” Mantis giggled loudly.
Alix looked at Maggie and she raised her eyebrows curiously.
Was it okay to share information like this or was Mantis another Jin Kang?
“She comes to visit every year and last year she brought a love serum created by another system host and fed it to him.
You should have seen…..” “Now is not the time for gossip Mantis.” Maggie reminded his partner.
Mantis closed her mouth, and nodded.
“You have seen ours, now you show us yours.” Maggie expectantly kept his gaze on Alix.
The prosecutor general returned and he sat down for this part.
Of course, he didn’t sit so close just in case something ended up on fire.
Alix smiled slyly and shook her head.
“Not yet.
I have only seen one so i am not convinced.
You two, what kind of systems do you have?
Show me yours and i show you mine, that’s what i said and i said it to you, not Aang.”
