Chapter 273: Revenge

"Where do you think you are going, Princess?" Damien asked instead of answering her question. His warm breath fanned Annalise’s face as he inched his face closer to hers, caging her against the wall in all possible manners and making sure that she didn’t have a way to run away.

"I just... wanted some alone time to relax," Annalise whispered in response the first thing her mind was able to think of, at the moment. Not only her body and soul but even her mind was only focused on her mate and the things his closeness was doing to her.

She felt shivers running down her body when one of Damien’s hands found its way around her waist and came to rest on the small of her back. And despite the layers of fabric, her skin felt the warmth of his palm as he was touching her bare skin.

"Really?" Damien asked while pulling her out of her thoughts. He kept his gaze locked with hers as he brushed the tip of his nose across her cheek in an enticing manner. It seemed like an open invitation but Annalise didn’t dare to accept it despite the urge to give in to the need that the Second Dark Lord was igniting in her.

She opened her mouth to say something, to find a way for herself to get away from the men before she could lose but the moment she parted her lips to speak, his mouth found hers and he sealed her lips in a kiss that took away her breath and all her thoughts, leaving her completely at his mercy.

He consumed her fully from the inside out and left no space for anything else. His lips felt soft against hers but at the very same time, they were demanding, forcing her to succumb to the passion that was threatening to take over her senses.

Their mate bond flooded with feelings and overwhelmed Annalise, only making her softer and forbidding her from thinking about anything or anyone else other than the man who was kissing her.

When he finally ended the kiss, it was only to plant more kisses down her chin and all over her throat, causing butterflies to flutter their wings deep in Annalise’s belly.

A gasp escaped her lips when Damien slightly bit the skin of the crook of her neck, the exact same place where he once marked her. It was more than enough to make her go weak in her knees if not for him suddenly pulling away.

Almost on instinct, her hands reached out to grab the man but he caught them and placed them against the wall on either side of her shoulders. All these happened in just a couple of seconds but these mere moments were more than enough to pull Annalise out of the passionate trance that just took over her.

"You want more, Princess?" Damien asked softly with a small smile playing on his lips as he stared deep into her eyes while his own were glowing light crimson - proof that despite his teasing and calm appearance, he was just as affected by her as she was because of him.

"I..." Annalise hesitated as she couldn’t decide what to say. She felt her cheeks burning even more fiercely if even possible as she mustered out the courage to speak - "My Lord..."

She immediately stopped when she heard her hoarse and shaky voice.

"What is it?" Damien asked while raising his eyebrows and Annalise knew exactly what he meant. His reaction was toward her using his title to address him and not using his name like he had been recently telling her.

"Damien..."

Annalise corrected her mistake and received a beautiful and satisfied smile from the Second Dark Lord in return. She noticed him inching closer to her once again and her gaze immediately went past him and toward the man who was standing at the opposite end of the room while his gaze was locked on her.

The moment their gazes locked, Annalise almost forgot to breathe as she saw the need and passion swarming Valerius’ deep eyes. While he hadn’t made any move to join them, he was totally impacted by the show that Damien had created in the middle of the sitting room.

"Can I join too?"

Annalise’s attention was pulled away from the Winter Prince and toward the Autumn Prince when the latter asked for her permission.

It was like Kenric was all she needed to return to her previous self because the moment she saw him, all the need and desire left her body, leaving her empty. The moment she saw his face, she was reminded of the frustration, embarrassment, and anger that she was feeling not too long ago because of him.

Without even thinking twice, she brushed away Damien’s hands while turning her gaze at him and stating, "I want to rest... alone."

Damien looked totally surprised and while he took a couple of minutes to react, he didn’t try to argue. He just smiled softly and nodded his head. "Alright. You can call me whenever you want."

Annalise nodded her head and returned the smile as she spared a quick look at Valerius who gave her a little nod from the other side of the room.

"Little Bird..."

Kenric’s pleading voice once again pulled Annalise’s attention toward him and she glared at the man while asserting, "And you... don’t come near me unless I say so. That’s what you will get for tormenting me."

"What?" Kenric looked baffled as he stared at her in complete surprise but Annalise didn’t spare him even more more glance.

"Little Bird?"

"Annalise!"

She turned to look at the Third Dark Lord and spoke - "Good to know you can use my name. Unfortunately, it’s pretty late." She then looked at her other two mates as she continued - "I will be in my room."

She didn’t wait for even another single second there and just turned around to head in the direction of the bedchambers.

The smile that was playing on her lips made it pretty clear that despite her words and expressions, she was no longer mad. She just wanted to mess with Kenric a little bit for revenge.
