Chapter 252: Sparkles In Water (Part One)

Bright and sweet rays of sunlight tickled Annalise awake, she crack open one of her eyes to find herself sprawled atop Kenric. Her cheek was resting on his smooth and powerful chest. He was shirtless and very warm, unlike the cold morning wind that was entering the room through the open window.

Her attention shifted to her own naked body that was pressed against the man and her face warmed up as she recalled last night’s activities. Her body still throbbed in delicious memory of their love-making segment.

Stars! She desperately needed to get a hold of her insatiable desire.

Making sure not to wake up Kenric, she slithered off him and climbed out of the bed to get dressed before she headed downstairs and straight to the pool room. Instead of calling for help, she decided to test her powers as she crouched next to the empty pool and opened the water gate to fill the pool.

In the meantime, she searched around the room to collect her favorite essential oils out of several different ones that Sera had purchased over the past couple of months. Once she had selected one of the oils according to her liking, she returned to the pool only to find it completely filled to the very top which made her hurriedly shut the water gate.

She next focused her attention on the water filling the pool as she sat crouching next to it. She took in a deep breath before she closed her eyes and called for her powers which immediately responded, powerful and stronger than ever before.

She started casting the spell to turn the cold water of the pool warm enough for her bath. Considering her close connection with the fire element because of Kenric and the fact that she had spent a lot of her time and attention mastering spells related to fire, it barely took her a couple of seconds to finish the spell.

When she opened her eyes and her gaze landed on the water filling the pool, she almost let out a loud gasp of pure shock after seeing the sight in front of her eyes. Thousands of red, orange, yellow, and golden sparkles were floating on the water’s surface as the spell worked its magic.

She slowly stretched one of her hands toward the water and very attentively she dipped the tips of her fingers into the water only to find its temperature exactly to her liking. A smile bloomed on her lips at the success of her spell.

She hurriedly opened the cork of the little porcelain jar of the essential oil with her free hand before emptying its full content into the pool. With her other hand that was still dipped into the water, she stirred the surface of the water as if it could help in mixing the oil with the water.

A beautiful chuckle escaped her lips when she noticed the sparkly colorful particles following the ripples that her hand’s movements had created in the water.

"Looks like someone is enjoying her time alone with our elements."

Annalise’s attention immediately shifted to the two men who suddenly appeared in the pool room while she was completely focused on playing with magic. Her gaze first met with Kenric’s, he was the one who just made the comment about her having a good time with elements... their elements.

Her gaze then shifted to Valerius who was looking at her with a very fond smile on his lips that almost made Annalise feel like he was actually proud to see her using spells successfully.

"Why are you both here?" She asked while looking at the two men who were heading straight toward her. She noticed how Kenric was only wearing a robe over trousers which left a huge portion of his collarbone and muscular smooth chest bare for her eyes to enjoy. As for Valerius, he was wearing a long white robe that was covering him from next to toe. The two men appeared worlds apart considering their dressing sense.

"I’m undoubtedly here to join you for a hot bath, I’m sure you won’t mind it. After all, I deserve it just as much as you do after last night." Kenric answered her with a wink before he moved next to the screen and started taking off his robe.

Annalise opened her mouth to speak but she was too shocked by his actions and words that she could hardly think of a proper word to say. So instead of speaking, she turned her attention to Valerius and almost felt her cheeks burning up when she found his eyes trained on her.

If she thought that she could no longer feel embarrassed or shy in front of her husbands no matter the situation, she probably underestimated herself.

"I just felt your excitement through the bond and came to see what made you so happy," Valerius told her as he signaled toward the sparkles that were now sticking to her hand, making it sparkle too.

"Oh!" That was all she could say in response as she hurriedly shifted her attention to her hand and refused to look at either of the men. On the other hand, she found herself wondering about Damien’s whereabouts. If the bond transmitted her feelings to Valerius, it would have done the same to Damien too but the second Dark lord was nowhere to be seen.

"Mr. Warren has asked Damien’s help in sorting out some situation at the stables. That’s why he’s not here." Valerius informed her as if he noticed her wondering about the absence of his brother.

"Oh!" She was once again left with the similar word to say in response which made her feel like a fool. Feeling completely out of place, she hurriedly stood up and decided to leave. "I... I will come back later. You can take a bath first."

She was ready to step past the screen when two powerful arms locked around her waist and pulled her against a muscular chest.
