The Vampire Prince's Blindfolded Bride
Chapter 65: How did you survive

Chapter 65: How did you survive

"What happened?" Alora’s heart almost jumped out in fear as she thought again a werewolf attacked them. Magnus realized there were some vampires around the carriage. They must have gotten Alora’s scent.

"I will check," Magnus opened the door’s latch to step out when Alora held the edge of his sleeve, thus stopping him from exiting. "Don’t go. Instead, let me go."

"There’s no danger outside. Trust me," Magnus asserted and put her hand away. He exited the door and closed it from outside, not wanting Alora to come out.

Magnus noticed the three vampires around the carriage and went toward one of them, who was at the backside. He peered into this young vampire’s eyes and compelled him. "Go home." The moment Magnus said that the young vampire left the place.

Before the second one could open the door, Magnus held her hand. This one was a female vampire and she showed her fangs to Magnus. When he brought his real face out, the young female vampire timidly moved away from him and disappeared into the forest.

However, the third one couldn’t be seen anywhere. Magnus wondered if he had run away and went to the front. Magnus asked the coachman to drive the coach fast to the residence. He was quick to get inside the coach, where Alora was seated.

"Some young vampires had come because of your scent. This region belongs to the vampires," Magnus explained to his wife. Once again the carriage had begun to move at its full speed.

"My scent is that strong?" Alora was surprised to learn that.

"No. Because you were the only human in the vicinity, that’s why it attracted some young vampires," Magnus answered.

"Oh. But for Prince Magnus my blood scent is strong. Is there a certain reason behind this?" Alora curiously inquired.

"Because you are my destined other half," Magnus replied. He smiled as Alora passed a smile to him. He looked out of the window, noticing how the moon was getting higher in the sky.

"I wonder if Venus became a werewolf or not. She didn’t wish to tell me because Eugene must have asked her to. Your Highness, could you please do something to find out the truth?" Alora made a sudden request from him regarding her sister. "I know you’d scold me for thinking about Venus. But I’ll blame myself if any wrong thing happens to her because I know her truth," she explained.

Magnus remained silent. He acted as if he didn’t listen to Alora. She didn’t either talk about it anymore and turned silent.

Finally, their journey came to an end and they arrived at their residence. Magnus stepped out of the coach first, followed by Alora. She held her gown a little up and began walking.

"Brother, you brought Alora back," Izaak’s voice fell into their ears, who was coming from the other side. Alora lowered her gaze and approached Magnus soon to stand beside him.

"Yes. She is safer here," Magnus replied.

"Are you sure?" Izaak was puzzled. He knew Magnus would not be able to control himself at the peak of the blood moon. "Alora, at least, you should have stayed in your home. Magnus is usually not able to keep his control."

"Thank you, Brother Izaak, but I’m fine around Alora. I’ll talk to you later. We are exhausted," Magnus said and grasped Alora’s wrist before going inside.

Upon reaching the chamber, Magnus let go of her hand while Alora rushed to drink water. As she poured a glass of water for herself, she was quick to chug its content down her throat.

"Hah! I feel good." Alora wiped her lips from the back of her palm.

Selvina came in whom Magnus ordered to set the dinner table in the chamber for Alora. She bowed and left to ask the cooks to prepare dinner for Alora.

"Why does His Highness look so grumpy?" Alora inquired, her tone filled with concern. "I promise not to mention Venus again. Please forgive me," she added softly, prompting Magnus to gaze at her.

"Come here!" Magnus commanded, and Alora obeyed, quickly making her way to him. He pulled her down onto his lap, gently bringing her hands to rest on his neck.

"How did you survive in that house?"

"Huh?" She looked surprised at his sudden query.

"No one ever loved you in that house, except for Mrs. Rhea," Magnus opined. "Did you ever get the feeling of burning all of them?" He questioned her.

"Never," Alora truthfully responded. "I always wanted to get rid of my eyes. I’m glad I found you because you made me see my eyes differently," she explained.

"Hmm." He understood why Alora was chosen for such eyes. No matter how harsh people were on her, she always kept her humbleness alive. It wasn’t easy to carry such a trait for a long time.

He kissed her cheeks before capturing her lips into a warm kiss. His hands moved to her lower back, drawing her close to him until their bodies pressed against each other. His rough lips against her soft ones created a passion between them.

With each kiss, Alora felt knots forming in the pit of her stomach, a mixture of nervousness and excitement coursing through her. Willingly, she parted her lips, inviting him to deepen the kiss. Her hands instinctively tangled in his smooth, silky locks of hair.

Muffled cries of pleasure remained trapped in her throat as his tongue met hers, eliciting a shaky moan from deep within her. Gasping for air, she surrendered to his gentle pace, savoring every moment of their intimate connection.

Finally, Magnus parted from her mouth. He showered kisses on her face and reached her neck. Her chest rose and fell in the anticipation of wanting more.

Suddenly, he stopped, causing Alora to open her eyes. She peered into his red orbs while inhaling and exhaling deep breaths. "You need to have your dinner. You couldn’t either have your lunch," Magnus said while stroking her cheek from the back of his palm.

"I’m not hungry yet. We can continue," Alora murmured.

It brought a smile to Magnus’s face. "After you’ve had your supper, we will continue, Wife," Magnus stated and kissed the tip of her nose.
