The Vampire Prince's Blindfolded Bride
Chapter 409: Alora is pregnant!

Chapter 409: Alora is pregnant!

Days passed after Lillian and Lewis’s marriage. Even Izaak and Melody had departed, while Alaric and Scarlet were away on a month-long vacation outside Velaris.

Alora closed her personal diary with a contented sigh, having penned down all the recent happy events. She carefully placed the diary back in her drawer, but as she did, a strange sensation washed over her. A sudden thirst for blood gripped her, accompanied by an unexpected heat spreading through her body.

It was unlike anything she had experienced before. Alora had never felt a desire for blood this intense. Confused and restless, she left her bedchamber, hoping to find Selvina to ask her to fetch some blood, only to recall that Selvina had gone out with Griffin.

The sweet, intoxicating scent that teased her nostrils was impossible to ignore. She found herself instinctively following it, her senses heightened and her steps purposeful. The scent led her to an unexpected sight—Magnus, standing before her in the hallway, coming from the council. Behind him Tobias was standing.

Magnus looked surprised to see her. "Alora? Is everything alright?" His voice was calm, but his keen eyes didn’t miss the way she seemed tense, almost... hungry.

Alora took a step back, realizing how intense her stare had become. She could hear his pulse, the scent of his blood so strong it almost made her head spin. She clenched her fists, trying to regain control. "I—I’m fine, just a little... distracted," she managed to say, her voice strained.

Magnus raised an eyebrow, taking a cautious step closer. "Distracted? By what?"

She hesitated, unsure how to explain. "I... I need blood," she finally confessed, her voice barely a whisper. "I don’t know why, but I’ve never felt this way before. I feel attracted to your blood. It’s... overwhelming."

Magnus’s expression softened further at her admission, concern flickering in his eyes.

Tobias, sensing the urgency of the situation, quickly excused himself. "I’ll bring fresh blood for Princess Alora," he said, bowing slightly before hurrying away.

As soon as Tobias was out of sight, Magnus turned his full attention back to Alora. He gently took her hands in his, immediately noticing the unnaturally high temperature of her skin. "You’re burning up," he murmured, his voice laced with worry. "Why are you so hot?"

"I-I don’t know," Alora stammered, her voice trembling. "I’ve never felt this way before. I feel... thirsty. So thirsty." The words seemed to take every ounce of her strength, and she swayed slightly on her feet.

Alora’s breathing became labored, and she instinctively leaned closer to him, her gaze locked on the pulse in his neck. She could hear the steady, rhythmic flow of his blood, amplifying her hunger. Her fangs, no longer under her control, began to elongate, glistening sharply as they emerged.

Magnus felt Alora’s desperate need the moment her fangs pierced his skin. She was like a flame, her body burning with an intensity that made his own skin feel cold in comparison.

He couldn’t let her lose control in the middle of the palace’s corridors, where anyone could witness her in such a vulnerable state. So, with his Vampire instincts kicking in, he moved swiftly, lifting her into his arms and blurring through the halls until they reached the privacy of his chamber.

As soon as they crossed the threshold, Alora buried her face into the crook of his neck, her sharp fangs sinking deeper into his vein, the hunger driving her movements.

Magnus stumbled slightly, catching himself against the doorframe before carefully laying her down on the chaise near the window. He knelt beside her, cradling her trembling body as she drank from him.

He didn’t try to stop her, didn’t even wince at the sharp pain of the bite. Instead, he allowed her to take what she needed, his mind racing with questions.

Why was her blood thirst so intense? What could have triggered such an uncontrollable need? His hand moved instinctively to her head, his fingers threading gently through her silky hair as he began to caress her softly.

"Easy, Alora," he murmured, his voice a soothing whisper. "I’m here. Take what you need."

Her body was almost unbearably hot, the heat radiating off her in waves, searing against his cool skin. It wasn’t normal—no Vampire, no matter how starved, burned like this.

It was as if her blood was on fire, a raging inferno coursing through her veins. His worry deepened, a flicker of fear tightening his chest. Could it be some sort of illness or a rare condition he hadn’t encountered before?

The sight of Tobias entering the room snapped him from his thoughts.

"Your Highness, I’ve brought—" He didn’t get to finish his sentence. Tobias’s eyes widened briefly at the sight of Alora feeding so fervently from the Prince, but he quickly regained his composure, bowing his head respectfully.

Alora, sensing the presence of another, abruptly pulled away from Magnus, her breathing ragged and uneven. Blood coated her lips, her eyes wide and dazed, as if she was waking from a trance. Her gaze locked onto Magnus’s, and for a moment, they simply stared at each other.

Magnus’s eyes softened as he saw the panic and guilt flickering in her expression. His lips curved into a reassuring smile. Gently, he raised his hand, his thumb brushing against her lips, wiping away the crimson stain.

"It’s fine, Alora," he said softly, his voice steady despite the dizziness he felt. "Don’t feel anxious or embarrassed. You needed it, and I’m glad I could help."

She looked at him, her eyes shimmering with unshed tears, her body still trembling. "But I—" Her voice broke, and she pressed her hand over her mouth, ashamed. "I couldn’t stop. I wanted more. I still want more."

Her eyes flicked down to his neck, where the wounds from her bite were still slowly closing, the blood staining his collar. She could smell it, the rich, intoxicating scent that made her mouth water, her fangs ache with the need to sink into his flesh again.

Magnus’s hand slid to the back of her neck, his touch was both firm but gentle, grounding her. "Alora, look at me," he said, waiting until her eyes met his again. "I’m not hurt. You didn’t harm me. I offered my blood freely because I trust you. If you need more, you can have it. I’ll give you as much as you need."

"No, I am fine," Alora refused to drink further from him.

"No more blood?" Magnus asked.

Alora shook her head while lowering her eyes.

"But your body wants it. So, don’t stop," Magnus said. His hands lowered to hers and felt them burning. "Why is your body hot?" he murmured.

"I don’t know. This isn’t me," Alora whispered, her eyes brimming with tears now.

"Hey, don’t cry. I think it is something rare. I’ll find out what it is. Till then, why don’t you rest?" Magnus questioned.

"I feel..." Alora looked into his eyes again, "restless and thirsty. I don’t want to rest, but I don’t want to drink either."

"Your Highness, it must be because of that!" Tobias finally intervened.

"Because of what, Tobias?" Magnus questioned.

"I think Princess Alora is pregnant!" Tobias replied with a broad smile.
