Chapter 34: Not love a human
Chapter 34: Not love a human
"Prince Izaak should return to the palace. I have readied the carriage for His Highness," Tobias humbly requested. He was worried thinking if Magnus witnessed his brother in the residence, it would only increase the tensions between the two.
"I have planned to stay the night here, Tobi. I think it’s been fifty years since I last saw Magnus. Last time too he ignored my invitation for my marriage. Such an insolent younger brother I have," Izaak stated as he rested his one leg above the other.
"Brother Izaak had the fourth marriage and then later, he killed his wife," Magnus voice’s reverberated in the living room. He entered with Alora with him, whose eyes were covered.
Earlier, Alora insisted on him to take her to the living room since she wished to see Izaak, who according to Magnus was still in the residence. He decided to show Izaak’s true evil side to Alora so that she would not make such a request anymore.
Alora when heard that Izaak had four wives and he killed his last wife, she was terrified. However, it was her decision to introduce herself to Magnus’s brother, so she could not leave now.
As they reached the sofa, Magnus helped her sit down and sat beside her.
"You should not say ill about me in front of your wife and my sister-in-law," Izaak said and gazed at Alora. "I didn’t expect Magnus to bring his wife in front of me," he remarked.
"I requested my husband to bring me here. I thought I should formally introduce myself to Prince Izaak. The royal family is also my family, so I must know about them," Alora answered while being careful of her words.
"I know you are the woman with special eyes, whom my brother fell in love with," Izaak stated with a grin. He peered at Magnus for a moment. "Your choice is unique, Little Brother," he said.
"Will you stop calling me ’Little Brother’?" Magnus was irked by the way Izaak would address him. "Also, apologize to Alora for scaring her," he stated.
"I apologize, Sister-in-law," Izaak said with a smile.
"You should also apologize for raising your hand on your brother," Alora suggested to Magnus.
"I don’t do apology," Magnus muttered. When Alora turned her face to him, he felt lost. "Alright, I will do. Forgive me for my action, Brother Izaak," he apologized just for the sake of Alora.
Izaak was astonished to see that. He felt that Alora had a strange effect on Magnus. It wasn’t what Lillian had claimed, but there was something deeper existed between those two.
"I wish I had a wife like you," Izaak remarked.
"Keep your eyes off Alora," Magnus warned sternly, rising from his seat. With lightning speed, he stood before Izaak. "Allow me to escort you out," he declared firmly.
"Goodbye, Sister-in-law," Izaak bid farewell before vanishing with Magnus in a blur of speed.
"Did they leave?" Alora did feel a gust of wind as she inquired from Tobias.
"Yes, Your Highness. They aren’t here," Tobias replied.
Alora bit her lower lip, thinking if Magnus would fight with his elder brother.

"Calm down, Little one," Izaak retorted as he was pushed by Magnus against the carriage, causing it to shake.
"I am calm, Brother Izaak. But tell Lillian not to jump to conclusions about my relationship with Alora. It’s not based on blood, but something deeper that neither of you will ever understand," Magnus explained earnestly.
"You should not love a human. The consequences are dangerous, my Brother," Izaak said as he pushed away Magnus, and took a step forward. "I thought Alora was a toy for you, but you ended up giving her your heart."
Magnus wasn’t interested in explaining a man like Izaak, who would throw away women from his life like clothes. "Get in and leave, Brother Izaak," he said, gesturing him to enter the carriage.
"Don’t be angry. I’m leaving," Izaak said and turned around. The coachman was quick to open the door for the prince.
"I can see the future for a person. Strangely, I saw nothing when I grabbed Alora’s hand. I hope it’s not the indication of something bad," he pronounced and then entered the carriage.
Magnus furrowed his brows together, but he didn’t pay heed to it. Izaak loved to play with him and because he fell in love, so for Izaak it was more fun.
Once the carriage drove away, Magnus went inside. He noticed Alora patiently waited for him and he again took a seat beside her.
"Why did His Highness ask in such an impolite manner for Prince Izaak to leave?"
"Am I being scolded by my wife?" Magnus complained.
"I didn’t scold His Highness," Alora answered.
"It was crucial for him to leave," Magnus said.
"Is it true that Prince Izaak married four women? Were they all vampires?" She was curious to know.
"Yes, they were vampires. Izaak is cunning, that’s why his wives died. The fourth one died because he asked her," Magnus stated.
Alora gulped to hear that. She didn’t know such vampires also existed. "He could have killed me today, then," she murmured.
"Izaak will never dare to do that. He knows his limits. But you need to stay away from him," Magnus advised her.
Alora nodded at him. "I’ll keep in mind," she said.
Tobias had left to arrange gifts from their side for Alora’s sister’s marriage and now only Magnus and Alora were present in the living room. He pulled down her blindfold and peered closely into her eyes.
"Your eyes are so beautiful that I want to look at them," Magnus said and he swiftly turned his back to her before lowering down. His hand rested on Alora’s lap. She was flustered at first. She brought her hand to his face and her fingers traced his lips.
"Your Highness, because of you I find my eyes beautiful now," she whispered, her fingers resting on his cold cheek.
