Chapter 162: It will be closed
"Pardon me?" The owner’s voice trembled with fear as he begged forgiveness for the mistake he was unaware of.
Griffin intervened, reassuring the Princes that he would handle the situation. The events unfolded so rapidly that the occupants of the grand hall struggled to comprehend the whirlwind of events unfolding before them.
The female humans were ushered to safety on the second floor by the female vampires whom Griffin had brought along with him.
"Take her upstairs," Izaak directed the guardian, his eyes fixed on the young woman seeking refuge behind him.
Nikitin approached the princes, asking them what they were doing.
"Doing what you couldn’t do, Nikitin. The Elder’s second son is a part of this association. What could be more surprising for us!" Magnus taunted him.
"What’s the issue, Your Highness? This has been happening for years," Nikitin countered, adding, "three years," for emphasis.
Magnus gazed at his elder brother, wondering if he had no knowledge of it.
"And now, it will be closed. All of you should report to me in the Council yesterday. I also need the details of the female humans who were bought as slaves and traded for wrong practices," Izaak instructed, looking at the nobles present in the hall.
"Nikitin, prepare to give an account of the practices conducted here," Magnus declared, a smirk playing on his lips.
"All the nobles gathered here have disappointed me. I never imagined you would exploit humans in this manner," Izaak pronounced, a hint of dismay evident in his tone. "Let’s go back, Magnus. Rest of the proceedings will happen tomorrow in the morning," he proclaimed. He pivoted on his boots with Magnus and the two brothers headed back to the palace in the rainy night.
Arriving at the palace, Magnus praised his elder brother for taking swift action.
"It was necessary," Izaak replied. "Let’s retire for our respective bedrooms. I will see you in the morning," he asserted and the two brothers departed their ways.
As Magnus entered the bedchamber, he found Alora peacefully asleep. He smiled tenderly and joined her in bed, gently wrapping his arms around her. With a soft touch, he ran his fingers through her hair, bringing comfort and warmth to her sleeping form.

The Next Morning:
"Alora, did you make your place in the council?" asked King Esmond as he brought the cup close to his mouth.
"Your Majesty, it’s a bit early to tell anything. However, a few have already recognized my presence. They don’t hate me for being a human," Alora explained to the King, holding the fork in her hand.
"Well, I’ve been reported that Princess Alora’s blood some newbie vampires," King Esmond asserted. He glanced at Magnus and asked, "You didn’t make your wife aware of this."
Alora gazed at Magnus, expecting an answer from him.
"Alora can be attacked by any vampire if he gets out of control. Then, her eyes will work and perish the vampire. It can bring more doubts in the minds of our kind regarding Alora’s inclusion in our society," Lillian explained. "Am I right, Father?" she queried.
"Absolutely," King Esmond answered.
"Then, what should I do, Your Majesty?" Alora questioned.
"You need to find out the answer, Alora," the King pronounced. "I hope you do," he added with a certain hope in his voice.
"Let’s not get worried over such things on the breakfast table," Queen Margaret intervened finally. "It’s not a table of discussion of the outside matters," she reminded her husband.
"Forgive me, my beloved," King Esmond apologized as he smiled at her.
They quietly finished their breakfast meals and the servants hastily cleaned the table. The King and the Queen were the first to take their respective leave, followed by the others.
"So, how can I prevent those new vampires in the council from being affected by my blood scent?" Alora inquired.
"Remember, you have the ability to control supernatural beings. You just need to learn how to harness it. Then you can control your eyes and prevent harm to those around you," Magnus reassured Alora, recalling her assistance in controlling his bloodthirst.
"I have no idea how to do that. Last time it happened spontaneously," Alora replied with uncertainty.
"Don’t worry. The new vampires in the council have the strength to control themselves. None of them will harm you," Magnus explained, offering reassurance to her.
"Are you sure, Magnus?"
"Yes, I am. Father wanted you to be careful. That’s it," Magnus replied, giving her comfort with his words. As they reached the middle of the walkway, Tobias’s presence stopped them.
"Ralph Blackwood is here," Tobias informed them after giving a formal bow to them.
"Did he bring what I have asked from him?" Magnus inquired.
"Yes, Your Highness," said Tobias. The three of them left for the private chamber, where Ralph was present along with another man, who was his Beta, Xavier Randell.
As Magnus and Alora entered the chamber, they both greeted them. Ralph waited for them to take their seats and as soon as they settled on the sofa, Ralph said, "I’ve brought all the information that Prince Magnus wanted. However, before I reveal the information to him, I would like His Highness to bring my mate here."
Magnus gestured to Odin, who left the chamber.
After ten minutes, Kierra entered the private chamber with Odin and rushed to Ralph. They both hugged each other and Ralph checked her out to make sure she wasn’t harmed.
"Since you have seen your Luna, then why don’t you give me what I want?" Magnus brought their attention to him.
"Please have a seat," Alora told them and asked Tobias to provide water to Kierra.
"See, how kind is my wife? She is treating your mate so well despite knowing the fact that how you wanted to harm her family members," Magnus taunted.
"Let it be, Magnus," Alora asked him to ignore what happened.
"Please forgive my husband," Kierra said, lowering her eyes, and carrying an apologetic expression.
"I may, after he gives me the information I desire," Magnus stated and gazed at Ralph.
