Chapter 132: Refused to break away
After the departure of the King and Queen from Izaak’s chamber, the others decided to leave as well, leaving Izaak to rest in his exhaustion.
Upon returning to her own chamber, Alora found herself overcome with happiness, breaking into a joyful dance. "I can finally live like everyone else!" she exclaimed with a beaming smile, twirling in her gown. However, her jubilation was short-lived as she paused, contemplating the vampires who had lost control.
"Damien had control over their minds. I suspect someone spiked the wine, and that someone will be discovered soon," Magnus asserted.
"That individual has already been apprehended and is currently being held in the prison, My Lord," Tobias informed them as he entered the chamber.
"Who is it?" Magnus inquired, eager to know the identity of the culprit.
"A newbie vampire whom Damien had created," Tobias replied.
"A sire bond," Magnus remarked, recognizing the connection between the culprit and Damien.
"Princess Alora, I found out you can look at everyone. So, it was true! I’m so glad to see that your dream of living like others has become true," Tobias said while passing her a gentle smile. Alora was as beautiful as her name.
"Thank you, Tobias. I’m indeed happy," Alora said, her eyes turning watery. She couldn’t wait to see her mother. But before that, she was curious to know what was a sire.
"Your Highness, what’s a sire bond?" Alora queried Magnus.
"If a powerful vampire bites a human and transforms him into a sire, then a bond is formed between them. That way the newbie vampire listens to his master only," Magnus explained to her.
"Oh. If I turn into a vampire, then I’ll listen to Prince Magnus only," Alora remarked.
Tobias smiled to hear her response while Magnus chuckled.
"It’s late night. Take your dinner and go to bed. I have an important work to finish," Magnus told her.
"Where are you going at this hour? Whatever the work, do it tomorrow," Alora told him and held his hand. "Ahh, I wonder if the vampire I mistakenly perished had a family. If yes, then I have to talk to them. I didn’t wish to do that," she said apologetically.
"It wasn’t your fault," Magnus told her, giving her comfort for letting her feel low.
"Your Highness, I have been reported that the vampire had no family. Rest assured, you don’t need to feel upset about it," Tobias intervened as he gave them the information he gathered earlier.
Alora still felt low about it. It wasn’t her intention to harm him.
"If you wouldn’t have killed him, I had," Magnus proclaimed. He took Alora to the dining room, telling her not to think about that anymore.

After having dinner, Alora changed into her nightdress. She placed the brush on the dressing table and again smiled while looking at herself in the mirror. As she left the seat and went to bed, Magnus entered the chamber too. Her eyes darted at his exposed skin of the chest.
She averted her gaze and went to bed. Covering herself with the blanket, she waited for Magnus to get in as well. He, on the other hand, removed the upper robe and lay half-naked next to her.
Alora moved close to him, and she drew the circles in the middle of his chest using her index finger. He held her hand and rested her palm on his firm chest.
"Thank you, Magnus," Alora whispered. "I remember the first time you told me that my eyes weren’t cursed." Her eyes met his as he tilted his head.
"People have cursed minds. They judged you too fast without realizing that another side could also exist," Magnus answered.
"I thought I lost my chance to prove the King when the vampire ended up losing his life under my gaze," Alora said. "But Damien was dangerous," she added as she recalled how his hand reached her neck.
"I wanted to kill him in a more brutal way. He eyed you," Magnus too recalled how Damien talked dirty in front of him.
Alora got on her elbows, her face was now directly before him. "Burning into ashes isn’t an easy death. It’s painful. I saw in his eyes," she proclaimed.
Tucking her hair away from her face, she drew closer to him, pressing her lips against his. "I love you," she whispered, a delicate smile gracing her lips.
Magnus drew her in closer, his hand gently guiding the back of her head. She placed her hand tenderly on his chest as he eased her head onto the pillow, positioning himself above her. With practiced ease, his fingers sought out the single knot on her dress, swiftly loosening it.
His lips journeyed southward, leaving open-mouthed kisses on the delicate skin of her neck. The blanket was no longer covering them. She arched her back the moment Magnus’s hand made contact with her curve, fondling it, relishing pleasure through her veins.
He was eager to devour her, his teeth touched the sensitive spot lying between her neck and shoulder. The moment he nipped it, she let out a moan of his name. Her hand flew to his hair, the fingers were now intertwining with his curls.
She was half-exposed under him, every nerve of her asking for more.
As he pulled up, the two peered into each other’s eyes. They were panting, their bodies were gripped with desires.
He closed the distance between them again, their lips engaged in a more passionate kiss this time. She soon pushed him gently on the bed while keeping her mouth connected with his. She battled for air, but he refused to break away from the kiss. Magnus finally sat up on the mattress while holding her firmly on his lap, his hand pulled down her night dress.
Finally, he withdrew from the kiss and he allowed her to catch her breath, both of them panting heavily. He shared the same air as hers, whispering in her ear, "Alora, I love you too."
