Alora finished drinking the tea and having her light breakfast. Yesterday her entire energy was drained, but today she felt a lot better. There was a slight pain in her lower back, but she was better. The female servant helped her go to the room and told her she should rest for some time.

"Where is Prince Magnus?" asked Alora as she rested her back on the fluffy pillow.

"His Highness is downstairs with Prince Izaak. Should I call him, Your Highness?" asked the female servant.

Alora shook her head and asked her if she could take out the notebook and the ink pen from inside the drawer. The servant quickly complied with that and handed her the desired items.

"Thank you," Alora told her she should leave and she resumed her work. Practicing writing was better than sitting idle. She needed to learn to form sentences fast so that she would aid Magnus in a better way when they joined the council.

Downstairs, Magnus was shocked to see Odin. He lowered the glass in his hand and asked Odin why he was in Shadowbrook. "When did you come here? I was here to spend alone time with Alora and here you all are present like a family gathering," he complained and again brought the glass to his mouth.

"Magnus, but none of us disturbed you during your stay here. You two do get alone time together," Izaak replied with a smirk.

"It’s a serious matter, Your Highness," Odin said, which brought some seriousness to the atmosphere.

"What is it?" Magnus asked as he sat down next to Izaak, but kept some distance.

"I imprisoned Venus Wilson," Odin said.

"What did she do?" Magnus lowered the glass and set it on the table before him.

"Venus conspired with a she-wolf to kill Princess Alora. As per Your Highness’s order, I kept a close eye on Venus. Venus instigated Eugene’s mate, Zinnia, to come after Princess Alora. Zinnia even was seen around the palace. Yesterday, I caught them and imprisoned them both," Odin narrated to him the entire incident based on which he took such a step.

Magnus’s jaw tightened, and his facial expressions turned darker as he felt like killing Venus as soon as he reached Velaris.

"Venus is such a fool!" Izaak chuckled and glanced at his brother. "Will Alora let you kill her?" He doubted that and wondered what Magnus would do about this.

"There is no reason left to spare Venus," Magnus stated.

"I know. However, your dear wife, my sister-in-law isn’t as just as us. She is emotional. Venus will show a few tears to Alora and her heart will change. And if you try to kill Venus, it can affect your relationship with your wife, Brother," Izaak proclaimed.

"Does Brother Izaak want to kill Venus then?" Magnus tilted his head at him.

"No. Let the two sisters handle this. You should follow what Alora decides in the end," Izaak advised him.

"I don’t wish to do that. I don’t want Alora to suffer more," Magnus asserted. "Let her rot in the prison for more days," he added, looking at Odin.

"There is one more message that Tobias has asked me to deliver to Prince Magnus," said Odin and took out the envelope from inside his coat. "Here, Your Highness," he proclaimed.

Magnus knitted his brows together and opened the envelope to check what was inside it. He found out a confidential document and took it out. Izaak moved closer to him to read it and found out it was from his confidant, Ragnar.

"Since when you were looking into Aunt Ophelia’s death?" Izaak questioned him.

"For eight months before returning to Velaris," Magnus replied.

"It was already told that she died because of her old age. No external wound was found in her body," Izaak muttered.

"Someone fed her velcrox, a poison derived from an ancient tree called Ash Tree," Magnus asserted.

"Then, why didn’t you tell this to Father and Mother?" Izaak inquired.

"Because I had no proof. This I found out from a servant in close service with the aunt. However, she mysteriously died before I could bring her to Velaris," Magnus explained to him.

Griffin and Odin exchanged glances at each other, realizing the depth of the situation.

"You should have at least informed me," Izaak asserted and looked at the report in Magnus’s hands. "Doesn’t it seem like a murder? And why would someone kill our aunt?" he was puzzled. "Does it tell about the name of the person, who murdered her?" he then questioned.

"Yes. Do you remember the notorious vampire, who was after Father’s throne?" Magnus inquired her.

"It can’t be Damian Von Grimm," Izaak stated.

"It is. I have been looking for him for quite a while, but I’m unable to locate him," Magnus affirmed.

"I heard that Damian is ruthless," Griffin intervened. "I’ve heard the stories about him," he added, looking troubled.

"He tortures even his own kind of people in brutal ways. Father was sure that Damian died long ago because he himself did that work," Izaak informed Magnus.

"But he didn’t die. Father must have made the mistake. Immortals aren’t easy to kill, Brother Izaak. And we should not forget how smart Damian is!" Magnus opined and he folded the document to put it inside the envelope.

"Take rest for today, Odin." Magnus rose to his feet as he was prepared to leave for his bedroom.

"Magnus, we need to tell about this to our father. We are in danger. Aunt Ophelia died because of a vampire, who is after us," Izaak pronounced with a concerned tone.

"We will once we go back," said Magnus and walked upstairs.

"Your Highness, is Damian really after the royalty?" Odin asked this time.

"Yes, if he is alive. Damian wants to be the ruler and annihilate the humans. That was his mission when he was alive. He only wants evil to rule all over the kingdom," Izaak stated with a deep frown on his forehead.
