Chapter 91: Looks like Daniel
After five exact hours, the red light in the surgery room went off and Ryan, together with the head cardiologist and some other doctors came out.
Rebecca, who had not taken any rest immediately rushed out and ran to the doctors direction.
Grandpa Huang and the rest immediately followed.
"Ryan how is my mother?" Rebecca asked Ryan anxiously as the rest of the family stared at him uneasily waiting for answers.
Ryan patted Rebecca’s shoulders as he spoke,
"Grandma is now out of danger auntie, she will be wheeled to a normal ward and we should take care not to tell her hear any more shocking news because another heart attack might end up taking her life."
The doctors who were beside Ryan nodded their heads in seriousness, making them understand that the situation at hand was no joke.
Rebecca and the rest sighed in relief as Grandpa Huang thanked the doctors.
In a few minutes, Lina Huang was wheeled to one of the largest VVIP rooms in the hospital.
The rest followed her in and as Ryan was there ensuring that everything was okay, Mary came in and whispered something to his ear.
She was about to leave when Grandpa Huang stopped her, looking shocked as her pointed at her.
"Ex...excuse me young lady.. mind if I ask a personal question?"
Mary found this weird but shook her head, indicating that she was okay with his request.
"What family do you come from or who are your parents?"
Mary shook her head with a bitter smile, "I do not have a family nor do I even know my parents, I grew up in an orphanage."
Grandpa Huang turned to Rebecca,
"Becky, do you remember Daniel? Your sister’s lover? Look at this lady here..."
Rebecca turned to Mary and looked at her keenly and carefully.
"You look like Daniel....impossible..."
Her voice was not that loud but everyone in the room could clearly hear her.
Mary was now confused. Who is this Daniel, Emily and what do they have to do with her?
Jane who was quiet all along looked at Mary and asked, in a careful manner though.
"This might sound weird Mary but umm..do you by chance know from what age you were taken into the orphanage?"
Mary looked at Jane for a while before answering, "What I know and what I have been told by the women at the orphanage is that they found me, in a basket outside their gate, on a strong windy day and I seemed to be two years old according to the information that was attached to my basket."
Jane nodded in understanding, "Sorry about that Mary, you are just similar to someone we know and someone we have been looking for."
Mary nodded in understanding, "It is alright, glad I could help, and all the best in your search miss."
She bowed and left leaving the rest of the members staring at each other.
"I have a strong feeling that she is Emily’s other daughter but I am not sure, if my senses are correct then Emily gave birth to fraternal twins." Rebecca spoke as she looked at the members seriously.
She turned to her father and spoke, "Dad, your other daughter is no more but she left behind two daughters, one is right here with us and the other one is still unknown."
"This is something that happened years ago and uncovering it will be pretty hard but we will try our best to find her and the mystery surrounding..."
"Do not continue Becky, I am afraid if you do I will end up like your mother, I am trying to be strong for her, for you my girl." Grandpa Huang couldn’t let his daughter continue.
"Let me meet my grand children Becky..."
He added as he looked at Rose and Nicole.
"Dad, this is my only daughter Rose and she is one of Emily’s child, Nicole."
She replied as the two girls bowed before their grandfather. "Nice to meet you grandpa."
The old man wanted to jump in happiness but he remembered that his wife was still unconscious. He lightly patted their heads, "I am sorry for the pain I made your parents go through..."
Rose didn’t let him continue and took his old hands into hers, "Come on grandpa, mistakes happen okay? Now stop apologizing and start spoiling us...hehehe grandpa you see...."
Her stories made the atmosphere light as the whole room burst into laughter, especially Grandpa Huang, listening to his granddaughter who started acting spoilt all of a sudden.
