Chapter 81: message
Seeing the group of armed goblins bow before jack stunned the locals of kilroi town. They’d thought it was an ambush jack led them to but apparently it was a different scenario.
Get up. Jack calmly spoke to which the Goblins nodded rising to their feet’s.
I know there are some unsettled beefs between both races but that isn’t why we are here. We have far more important matters to take in mind than some minor scuffles. Jack paused glancing at both races. His expression was calm yet stern like a fierce predator.
An example being the ogre’s. Their indeed powerful and tough to kill but not impossible.
Stretching his hand Yuma steadily walked to jack handing him a dagger.
With the right equipments and weapons we can defeat the ogre’s together despite being an f rank. Hearing jack’s words both races faces contorted into a frown.
There were rumors of high powered flesh eating ogre’s in a concealed location. Being rumors it was considered a myth until jack confirmed it. Testifying to the terrifying power they posses.
I-if you struggle to defeat them then how could we possibly do so? Fartrox stuttered with wide eyes. He’d perceived jack to be a monster but surprisingly there were bigger monsters than him.
Like I said they are tough to defeat but not impossible. The key strategy is mainly teamwork and better equipments. The second we don’t posses but the first we do.
With constant training and guidance am certain I can train you all into elite soldiers. A soft smile formed on jack’s lip further stunning the crowd.
H-he’s smiling..
Impossible..
He kinda looks cute.
Various murmurs and comments could be heard all to which jack dismissed.
[Hmm.. I can’t believe you’re going soft on me young man.] Aethone giggled in a sly tone.
You wish. Jack inwardly scoffed with a light smirk. The reason he was being nice was because he wanted to take a different approach after his fight with the ogre’s.
Silence! Jack sternly uttered releasing his aura making the murmurs die out.
As the chief and king of this village I hereby declare the official uniting of both races. If anyone has any objections speak up now. He boldly said staring at the crowd for any objections but there was none.
Very well then.. I hope we can all get along and grow stronger together. Turning he was about leaving but stopped in his tracks.
Oh.. and my rule remains the same. Obey me or die. With that his body blurred from spot along with Yuma tailing behind.
While some groups of goblins led the previous citizens of kilroi town to their new homes.
Meanwhile in front of the second biggest house in the goblin village stood jack with Karrie in his arms. Passing by the goblin guards into the apartment he headed up the stairs. Precisely to the 1st room his eyes saw.
Crouching down a bit he softly placed Karrie on the bed. Placing the wool sheet over her body.
It’s been some hours since I last heard her annoying voice. Jack sighed glancing at karrie. He couldn’t explain it but there was just this lingering attraction towards her.
Maybe it’s because am changing and no more human. He wasn’t a social type but still interacted with his piers in Agathe. But now as an undead he felt more free and less repulsed by other creatures like him.
It’s not proper to spy on other people. Jack abruptly uttered tilting his head a bit. His eyes locked to the open door.
H-he sensed me. Yuma’s eyes widened a bit. She’d been extra careful and stealthy making her way up here. But as expected she was spotted.
Am sorry your highness.. i-i decided to check up on you and update you on-
It’s alright, you did a good job Yuma. Jack smiled to which she nodded.
T-thank you your majesty. I’ll be taking my leave now. Turning she glanced one last look behind.
Enjoy it while it lasts fox woman. I’ll be the one laughing last. A creepy smile formed on the goblin woman’s face. Her prescence disappearing from sight.
What was that about? Jack wondered clearly aware of Yuma’s strange gaze. Shaking his head he decided to check the rewards he got from his battle with the ogre’s.
Pro- his words got stuck in his throat feeling the environment change. The air turned more sharper and violent like knives cutting through butter.
Swoosh swoosh!
Several slash sounds were made with dozens of cuts appearing on jack’s body. They weren’t too big nor shallow but just the right amount.
Hades? No.. he didn’t make such an appearance last time we met. Usually the this strange phenomenon meant the arrival of the apocalyptic god of death.
And jack was certain it wasn’t hades thing to inflict such minor injuries to him.
The horse has a tendency to blood but it’s definitely not it also. Jack frowned as those were the two high entities he ever encountered.
If this isn’t hades or the horse but a different being on the same level as the two then am dead. Gritting his teeth jack prepared for the worst. There was nothing he could do asides from hoping it was one of the two familiar beings.
In front the small droplets of jack’s blood had now formed a small football size shape. Swirling rapidly with power letting out low heptic vibrations.
Bam!
It exploded the next minute sending gusts of wind pushing some objects to the ground.
What’s that? Jack frowned staring at the remnants from the explosion. It was a small black ball with furs all over it.
[Blood decay activated!]
Deciding not to approach it jack deemed it best to shoot a blood ball at it.
Bam!
The red ball hit it’s mark exploding upon impact. Now one would’ve expected the ball to be obliterated but it was the opposite!
I-it did no damage to it. A look of disbelief was plastered on Jack’s face seeing the small black ball completely intact at it’s current position.
What the hell was that for? An unknown voice grumpily spoke.
It also speaks.
Of course you dimwit. The black furry ball angrily retorded. Clearly insulted by jack’s hurtful words.
Slowly before the latter’s eye the black ball elongated to about 9 inch wide and 2ft tall. Potruding a pair of arms and legs each on both sides. It’s two pointy black ears potruding from the side of his head along with it’s nose and mouth.
Wait.. I know you. He didn’t how but jack could tell he recognized this creature from somewhere.
Seriously.. you’re that slow? The cat frowned it’s two big emerald eyes glowing brightly.
Casper~ Huh,I knew I remembered you. Jack indifferent uttered with a cold gaze.
Hmph! And he says he’s the one. Shaking his head Casper elegantly walked towards jack. Making the latter wary and on guard not trusting this so called cat one bit.
You don’t have to be so tense around me you know. If I wanted you dead you’d already be dead. Casper purred already on the bed behind jack.
I-i’ll keep that in mind.
Hmm... This one has potential, who would’ve thought she was one of us. The cat grinned an excited glint in his eyes. Shaking his head Casper’s attention then shifted back to jack.
Just like the horse it stared at him weirdly from head to toe as if observing his body.
You’ve improved than before. Congratulations.
Wait.. d-did he just compliment me? Never for once had he received a compliment from this strange cat since they met. So it was no doubt awkward hearing it for the first time.
Don’t get me wrong that wasn’t a compliment. Am just impressed you haven’t died yet. Me and the boss had a bet you’d be dead before a few days but unfortunately seems like I lost. Bummer. Casper coldly blurted out making jack blood boil.
Bastards, I never wanted any of this. Jack inwardly caused a vein bulging on his forehead. He didn’t choose to be reincarnated by hades or forced to this new life.
But he was willing to accept this second chance if it meant being able to be with Kelly.
Haha! I didn’t think petty words as such still had an influence on undead’s like yourself. Oh well.. A look of disappointment flashed across the cat’s eye making jack blood boil more.
Why are you here anyways and where’s your boss? He’s the one I have business with. Jack scoffed walking away stunning the cat.
Hmm.. seems he’s not that much of a softie anymore.
Apparently hades is too busy with otherworldly affairs to have a chit chat with irrelevant things such as yourself.
If you’re here to insult me then you might as well just kill me. Jack retorded having enough of Casper.
Not responding immediately the black cat lazily sat on the bed.
Alright then.. I have a message for you from hades. He says hi and to tell you you’re in danger. Your world is coming to an end soon.
