The Undead system
Chapter 65: Duel

Chapter 65: Duel

When jack had stretched his hand, she knew something was bound to happen. But never in her life, had she expected all the equipments here to vanish. Then reappear like nothing happened?

’Hmm.. 50 points for each item.’ Jack frowned, seeing the low system points he got from salvaging these basic equipments. He’d thought it would be higher, about a hundred or more, but unfortunately it was terribly low.

’Luckily it’s a new day today.’ Jack smiled as he wasn’t at a loss entirely, since the system store refreshed. With the removal of the poison dagger, replacing it with normal daggers that gave 6 speed stats when equipped. Costing 150 system points, half of the poison daggers.

There were also a couple of spears not in the f rank stage, but having more benefits than plain one’s. Granting +2strength and stamina, for a relatively low price of 100 system points.

Having over a five thousand system points, from the countless equipments here. he bought a few plain daggers, shields and spears. Exhausting his 5,000 system points he just got.

’At least they’ll be better equipped than before.’ It was an investment jack was willing to make, as the new king and also a chief. There was a lot of responsibility on his head right now, and he had to equip his goblins subordinates with better weapons. In case of an attack on the village, and he wasn’t around.

Sure there were traps erected, and the village was hidden but still. There was still a good chance it could be infiltrated, and they had to be equipped.

"Your highness!" Yuma exclaimed, falling to her knees worshipping jack like a god. Not only was he powerful he was unpredictable, which was much more terrifying.

’It’s a pity I don’t get more dominion points from dedicated followers.’ Jack inwardly smiled shaking his head a bit.

The reason he’d salvaged these equipments in Yuma’s front, was plainly because he didn’t care. Being more powerful than her there was nothing she could do. And she didn’t have any idea about the system, thinking it was a skill he used.

[Don’t be such a cocky bastard. If it wasn’t for my help, you’d just be a lost sheep without a shepard ] the system wisely spoke, dropping some gospel on jack.

’Really?? I didn’t remember asking for your help?’ Jack telepathically retorded rolling his eyes a bit.

[Tsk.. one day Anderson.] His system scoffed in disdain, clicking it’s imaginary tongue.

"Get up, we’re not done yet." Jack calmly spoke, proceeding towards the door. Regaining her sense Yuma got up, rushing over to his side with flushed cheeks.

"I-i don’t recall any other instructions you gave out your highness." Yuma apologized with a shaky voice.

"You don’t have to be so stiff around me you know. If I wanted you dead you wouldn’t be alive now." Jack frowned, repulsed at Yuma’s attitude around him. Yes he loved being intimidating, and demanded respect from the people under him. But it was kinda getting a little weird.

"Of course, as you wish your high-"

"And don’t call me your highness anymore." He abruptly spoke cutting her off.

"Just call me master." He smiled staring at her with a dark grin, making her body freeze in place.

[Censor you shameless pervert, there are pure bloods in here!] The system retorded to which jack ignored, his eyes locked to Yuma.

’D-does he really mean it?’ Looking at him, she tried to comprehend if jack was joking or not. But she couldn’t see through his poker face. And judging by his expression and cold personality, she could tell he wasn’t messing around.

"Of course.. master." She bowed with a tinge of excitement. Making their way out the barn, jack then instructed Yuma to round all the villagers at the center of town. Where the mating hall was located at.

’I wonder what he has in mind.’ She pondered shuddering slightly, at what diabolical intentions jack had planned.

Nodding, Yuma then bowed slightly, blazing away from Jack.

’It’s really unfair how she’s grown this much.’ Jack complained, seeing Yuma’s speed matched his previous speed when at level 10.

[Well.. you’re the idiot who gave her the goblin king’s crystal containing great power.] The system sarcastically said stating the obvious.

’And I wonder who was the good samaritan that urged me to go on with it?’ he thought, earning a light scoff from the system.

Not bothering to run he simply stomped his feet, shooting him up in the air. "I can get used to this."

A light grin formed on his face, enjoying the sensation of being up high in the air.

’Now I can relate how those lucky bastards enjoy flying so much.’ Slightly shaking his head, he softly landed just at the entrance of the of the mating hall. Staring at it, it was a shadow of it’s former self.

"Am really impressed with their building skills." Staring at the building, it was erected just like the last time he’d seen it. Before it eventually collapsed, from his battle with the two goblin knights.

Steadily making his way to the porch, the four goblin guards guarding the front entrance bowed their head immediately, realizing the king approaching.

"Rally all the goblins inside out." He commanded in a stern tone.

"Yes sir!" Without a second to spare, they hurriedly rushed into the mating hall. Quickly ralliing all the goblins inside, bringing them ot as jack commanded.

Slightly nodding, jack then simply leaned on one of the pillars staring forward. Soon enough after a few minutes, Yuma could be seen along with the entire goblin villagers.

’Their numbers have grown.’ According to the number he got from the system notification, receiving over a thousand dominion points. He guessed there were about 60-70 goblins. But now, he could count over a hundred goblins.

80% being full grown male goblins and females, overpopulating the males. Cause most were guards, and he’d killed a lot of their numbers. And the 20% being newborn goblins children, about a day or two old.

Seeing all the goblins in the village here, jack stepped forward with a sharp gaze.

"As from today forth, all male goblins will be recruited in the defense and attack division. Including the young borns, as soon as they learn to walk."

He coldly spoke, pausing a bit for any objections but there was none.

"You will be trained in hand to hand combat and knowledge of weapons by me. And there will also be duels, 4 times a week to test your experience. Starting from now.." He declared making the crowd faces go pale a bit.

They were excited to be trained by their king, but also scared for their lives. As he was a cold blooded killer, not hesitating to be kill without thinking twice.

"The training shall happen at the east wing, near the hidden entrance. All grown male’s should proceed now." Not esitating, all the male goblins stepped out. heading away from the crowd, to the east section of the village.

"Now, the rest of you females are required to mate everyday as much as you can. And produce as much babies as you can." His words though soft, held some animosity to it. Until they heard the next set of words that followed.

"No less than 2 children are to be produced per each female for a week. Any less would result in instant death." He coldy spoke with an indifferent expression. Turning he was about leaving but stopped, remembering something.

"This new mating process must begin next week. Oh! And Yuma.. you’re included." Not waiting he disappeared from spot, leaving Yuma bewildered.

Moving through town, he made a stop at the weapon store.

[Would user like to store all 27 items in system store?]

"Yes." He calmly said and the bright light enveloped them, disappearing the next moment. Checking the store he confirmed the items were there. Exiting he made his way east, to the entrance of the hidden cave.

’At least this will provide better stats and effectiveness.’ The cost of salvaging basic items, in return for system points were really low. But the system reassured him they were worth the sacrifice, and he decided to put the system words to test.

"Each of you pick a weapon." Stretching his hand a bright light radiated, making the goblins avert their gaze. Looking, they could see some items on the floor magically appearing.

"Well, what are you waiting for?" A frown formed on his face, as his patience was running thin. With shaky hands they picked the weapons one by one, in a composed manner not to upset jack.

There were about 50 male goblins here, so the item didn’t go round. But jack didn’t have any intention in such, just wanting to test the equipments from the system shop.

Disappearing from spot, he appeared on a high rock. Calmly seated with his legs crossed in a meditation pose.

"Note, that this is a life or death duel and the loser must be killed by the victor." Hearing this the atmosphere plummeted, dropping down incredible heights. Their once jovial faces, brimming with excitement going sour and pale.

"Let the duel begin." Jack smiled clapping his hands.
