The Throne Is Mine -
Chapter 88
Chapter 88: Chapter 88
"Why do I get the feeling you knew we were being followed and led us to a secluded place to have some fun? Please tell me I am wrong," Amelia looked to her side to see the biggest smile she had ever seen on his face. "Sadly, I was right. Men," she rolled her eyes.
One moment they were walking among the large crowd but then Killian had the bright idea to have a moment alone. Now they were surrounded by countless men pointing swords and daggers at them.
"You’ve got your candy, it’s my time to indulge in a bit of fun. Stay close to me," Killian advised her. She was safer the closer she was to him.
’I might just walk away while you’re fighting them,’ Amelia thought to herself. Killian walked right into this fight and she had no problem leaving him to take care of it himself. She already got her candy so she could return to the castle.
"Never in my life did I expect to be in the presence of the princess and the king of the north. This must be my lucky day," the leader stepped forward but not too close to where Killian stood. They had Killian outnumbered but he wasn’t a fool to stand close to such a feared man. "One of my men spotted the princess and we thought it would be only right if we gave you the royal treatment."
"No thank you," Amelia declined the offer. It was clear since they were so bold to approach her they were up to no good. "We will be on our way now," she touched Killian’s arm for him to try leaving with her.
Killian bringing them here to be surrounded by these men meant he would have no problem killing all the men present. As much as Amelia didn’t like the men, she did not want to be caught up in this mess when she had snuck out of the castle.
"Not so fast, princess. We have some business to do with you after your little speech about slaves having to be returned. How about you trade places with them if you want the slaves set free? We can make a fortune with you," the gang leader’s eyes trailed down to her breast. His thoughts ran wild imagining how soft her skin must be. "You are not going anywhere. If you entertain all of us, I might consider letting you go. What do you say?"
"You can kill them," she stepped behind Killian.
Killian pulled Amelia to stand behind him. These little humans were fools to think they would win this fight because he was outnumbered. He gained the nicknames demon king and war demon from humans who had no idea he was a demon because of how many men he alone would kill during wars.
On the trip to the Blackwell castle, he hadn’t killed as many people as he liked so this was more than the fun he needed tonight.
"Don’t tell me you have fallen for our princess already and it seems our dear princess feels the same way," the leader named Andre became amused by this. "Such a betrayal for a daughter to like the man who killed her father. I will have to punish you for the late king."
Andre walked back behind the safety of his men and sat on a rock. "The first person to bring me his head will get a large bonus. So will the person who strips the princess and bring her to me quickly. I am aching to have her."
Amelia felt disgusted hearing his words. She didn’t feel sad for him going to die soon. Who knew how many other girls he cornered to do horrible things to.
Having no use for it, Killian took off the coat he was using to hide his identity. He had not brought along a sword and only had small daggers to make use of but they were enough. "Who will be first?" He anticipated the first opponent.
His calm behavior pissed off Andre. He knew Killian had the skill to back up his ago but it wouldn’t hurt to be a little worried for the safety of the woman behind him. "Kill him," Andre ordered his men.
With the other given, the fifteen men charge at Killian with all types of weapons to try and bring him down. The money their leader claimed they would get for killing Killian erased their fear as they moved to attack a man who was capable of washing a field with blood.
Amelia slowly backed away from Killian to get out of the way before he would start attacking. She was mindful of her surroundings and paid close attention to the men behind her and Killian. She did not want to walk right into their grasp by not looking where she was going.
"Ah-Ugh," the sound of something being squashed was heard followed by a thud.
Amelia could not believe her eyes with how easily Killian had killed the man by popping his head like it was some small soft fruit. She was here with Killian but this action made her not want to be by his side anytime soon.
"What the fuck?" Muttering was heard from the other men but still, they charged at Killian. Instead of being fools like the first man killed, they decided to attack as a collective.
Amelia watched with amazement how Killian would swiftly grab one man and steal his sword to kill another man. Killian was quick with his hands and feet. His strength from being a demon added to him taking on numerous men at a time. Watching Killian in awe distracted her from paying attention to the man behind her.
"Release me," Amelia squirmed and began throwing punches at the person who attacked her.
"Screw fighting that madman. I am going to get what was promised before I die," the man who grabbed Amelia said as he tried dragging her away from where Killian was fighting the other men. "Stop fighting."
Amelia dropped her bag of candy and stopped punching the man as he took her away, to start feeling the side of his body for a dagger. Just as she expected, there was one around his waist.
Amelia quickly pulled it out and as hard as she could, she stabbed him in his side causing him to release her.
"You fucking bitch," he cursed and tossed her to the ground.
Amelia gripped the dagger to pull it out as she fell, cutting more of his skin in the process. She never stabbed someone before but this was a time when she needed to act quickly. No matter what, she would stab him with the dagger as hard as she could to save herself. She was not going to be taken advantage of. Not here, not ever.
"Killian!" She screamed at the top of her lungs for him to come to rescue her. Amelia had injured the man but from the way he was quickly getting over the wound and had his eyes set on her, she knew she needed help getting rid of him.
Before the man could grab her, Amelia scrambled backward to get away from him. Unfortunately, he grabbed her leg and started to drag her back towards him. Amelia kicked at him with her other foot and reached forward to slash the dagger at the hand holding her foot.
"I’m going to enjoy-"
Amelia closed her eyes to prevent blood from getting to them after Killian suddenly appeared behind the man and slit his throat. Amelia felt relieved and angry at the same time. Relieved she had not been touched but angered by the fact Killian had willingly walked into this fight.
"Are you satisfied now?" She glared up at him as he tossed the man’s body to the side. "I almost got taken advantage of because you wanted to fight. I don’t need your help," Amelia smacked Killian’s hand away.
"It was either they attack us around others and you be caught outside the castle or take them to a secluded area. I did what was best for you and got some enjoyment out of it but I’m sorry you got hurt," he sincerely apologized.
Amelia was supposed to stay where he could easily reach out and kill anyone trying to take her away but she kept walking back away from him. He couldn’t blame her as anyone else not used to such fighting would want to get out of the way.
"One thing for certain, you need to be taught how to defend yourself. I commend you for taking his dagger from him," Killian complimented her as he took away the dagger she had in her hand. He would keep it as a prize for being the victor. "However, not all people who attack you will be so clumsy to let you steal a dagger from them. Instead of sneaking out for candy, I will train you at night."
"Really?" Amelia’s eyes lit up. It would be much better for someone as skilled as Killian to teach her to fight. She coughed, not ready to forgive him for putting her in danger. "I’m still angry with you."
