"How about you just tone it down? We are not animals and during the time period that Cryus has been with me, I have never seen him show interest in a woman to want to have sex with her. He’s always with me during the day and guarding my door at night time. So this sounds like a problem you have but you’re taking everyone down with you," Amelia said, believing her words to more true than Killian’s.

"He’s a northerner in Blackwell territory. It’s not like he could have found a lot of options in your castle unless the women wanted to know what being with a northerner was like. He seems loyal enough to not sneak off to a brothel to ruin your reputation. I’ll give him that," Killian complimented Cyrus. "It is still surprising to have witnessed a Blackwell royal and one of my people getting along."

"Why should I mistreat Cyrus just because he’s from the north? Not everyone on this land hates your people and I’m hopeful that it’s the same with your people. I’ve been learning about the history of this kingdom for so many years but I cannot tell you what on earth even started this feud," said Amelia.

"Ego’s from your side started this feud. I have never cared to bother with humans after losing interest in them when they were being punished. One of your ancestors wanted the north to bow to them as they believed they had more power and a bigger army but the north does not bow to anyone. Like your father, they attacked a village to show their power so we killed a couple of your ancestors."

"I see. Power truly is a dangerous thing. Why can’t everyone just be satisfied with what they have? Oh, sweeties!’ Amelia pulled Killian in the direction of where she spotted the candy. She didn’t think about how she was pulling along with her.

"Two please," she told the stall owner and wished into the pocket of her dress for coins to pay but Killian stopped her.

"I will pay," said Killian.

"You have our money?" Amelia asked as she didn’t see how a northerner would have their money but then again, he did take over the castle which meant he could have taken money as a reward. If that were the case, the castle would be in need of funds so was it right for her to spend money on sweets?

The people would be the ones they receive more money from by increasing taxes. She could not spend what money should be saved.

"Where did you get the money to buy it?" She whispered softly so the stall owner wouldn’t hear.

"Your castle."

"Right," she said, clearly disappointed because of the way her shoulders fell. "I’m sorry. We won’t be needing them anymore," she apologized to the stall owner. It hurt her to walk away from the candy without getting a lick at least. "Let’s go somewhere-"

"You want them so take some. Do you think I stole the money? I guess you didn’t know all sorts of people in the castle were showering me with gifts to get on my good side. That’s where the money came from. Give her a bag full of them," Killian order the stall owner who was patiently waiting to see if he would get a sale or not.

The stall owner found the young woman’s voice to be familiar but he didn’t want to ask about it in case he would miss out on such a good profit. "Enjoy," he handed Amelia the bag of candy and took the money from Killian.

As they walked away to find something else to do Amelia asked, "Who has been trying to bribe you?"

"The better question is who hasn’t and why are such sweet things being sold this late?" Killian asked.

"There are many people around during night time so why miss out on a good sale? Though I have to say it looks less crowded than normal," Amelia said as she looked around. It had to do with people being scared of the northerners around. "Some people won’t let a moment like this ruin their night. It’s as good as I remember," she smiled as she sucked on the small candy and took it out of her mouth. "Do you want to try one?"

"With pleasure," Killian swooped the one she had been tasting out of her hand and placed it in his mouth.

"That was in my mouth. I could have gotten you one from the bag," she stared at him in disbelief. She didn’t see why he would want to use something that she had already begun to eat when there was a bag full of them in her hand.

"This one seems to be the sweetest."

"You have not tried the others," Amelia muttered. She didn’t know what to think of what Killian just did.

"Do you want it back?" Killian toyed with her by showing the tiny treat in his mouth.

"Certainly not. I do not want to eat something that someone else had in their mouth. I’m going to save the rest to eat later. I promised I would not visit the town so I must buy as many things as I can tonight. It helps that you are paying," Amelia cheekily smiled, taking advantage of the money he was getting from his ass getting kissed.

"You cannot be the same person that turned down my offer to pay for your candy a moment ago," Killian grinned highly amused by how quickly she was ready to spend the money now.

"That money should be put to good use and spent on buying me treats. If you have nothing else to do with it, please consider donating the rest to one of the orphanages here. There is one my mother and I support. You don’t have to do it just because I ask. I just don’t see why you would need our money when you’ll be returning to the north," Amelia said then placed another candy in her mouth.

"You will want to return to your kingdom from time to time. Am I supposed to stay in the north while you travel a good distance?" Killian asked.

"No. I think the better solution would be to make it easy for the two sides to trade each other’s money. One day I would enjoy that as queen of the north, my people can visit the north and spend time there. This plan would require a lot of planning and Fraser agreeing with what I want to do. We’re drifting away from having fun. Let’s play a game. The first person to talk about the castle or anything relating to it will have to face punishment."

Knowing he would win, Killian agreed with the terms. "Fine with me but the loser must do whatever the winner says."

Amelia felt she might regret this but at the moment she only wanted to have fun. "Deal. I’m going to enjoy making you become my servant for the day. Instead of Cyrus, I would let you walk around behind me to scare people in the castle."

As Killian and Amelia walked through the crowd, speaking in a hushed tone and keeping to themselves. One of them was unaware of the fact they were being followed.

"I’m certain that is the princess. I heard that woman’s voice back there when she was ordering candy. I asked the stall owner and he also found her voice to be familiar. That means the person beside her could only be Killian Bune," one man said to the other. He was desperately trying to prove he had spotted the princess.

The other man silently watch the man and woman his underling was claiming to be royals. The couple did have the same build as the princess and the king of the north. How foolish could Killian Bune be to walk around without any guards to protect him after he had killed s many Blackwell men? "Gather all the men and prepare for an ambush. The castle would pay a lot to the man who brings Killian’s head to them," he grinned.

"What should we do about the princess? Someone should get her out the way-"

"No. Don’t you see how cozy she is to our enemy? I don’t care f it is to keep us safe. Instead of walking about him so casually, she should be trying to find a way to drive a knife into his heart to avenge her father. We already have a new king so it shouldn’t matter if she dies. Before then, don’t you want to know what it feels like to be with a royal?" He glanced at the man beside him who was getting excited about being with the princess.

"A lot of people would pay to sleep with a princess. Rather than kill her, we can take her to be with the other slaves we’re hiding-"

"Shush you, idiot!" The leader smacked the back of his underling’s head. The princess was messing up his business by asking for all slaves to be returned so he had to hide them. He did not want anyone to find out he was not returning his slaves. "Follow them and wait for when they are alone to strike. We’re going to have some fun tonight boys."
