The Throne Is Mine
Chapter 351

Chapter 351: Chapter 351

"This is Mara Bune. She is ten and the oldest of the four. Kila is somewhere finishing her lessons she ran away from to race with Mara. This is Silas. The only boy we have right now," Amelia said, holding Silas’s hand to guide him to Cyrus since Silas was wary. "Aydan is the youngest. She is with Killian right now so if you want to meet her, you would have to stay a little longer."

Amelia hoped that to see Aydan, Cyrus would stay in the castle. She did not want him to return to the underworld any time soon. They needed to have a reunion with Gina to sit around and talk like old times.

Cyrus looked at the children before him, trying to place what features they got from their mother and which ones they unfortunately got from their father. He saw more of Killian in Mara, but Silas made him think only of Amelia.

"You are a mother of four," Cyrus said, unable to wrap his mind around Amelia having many children. "It doesn’t feel like so much time has passed for you to have four children who are big. I thought I would be introduced to the firstborn I heard little about."

"Well, you were in the underworld so you wouldn’t have noticed that ten years have gone by. Children, please excuse us for a moment. I need to talk to Cyrus alone. You can go eat the cake we left behind, but that is all. Do not send a maid anymore. I will know if you do it," Amelia said, keeping an eye on Silas so he knew she meant him.

Too much treats in his stomach and she would not be able to get him to go to bed on time.

Silas wanted to stay with his mother, but now that he was alone with Mara, he could try asking for help with flying. They didn’t need to race so they wouldn’t be getting into any trouble. He only needed to be shown how to keep himself steady.

Amelia watched Mara and Silas walk away with Silas talking about flying again when he had already said he didn’t want to do it anymore. She knew not to believe him.

"It is strange that you are a mother now. It feels like yesterday you were not interested in hearing about marriage from your father and hardly interested in children. I’ve missed a lot," Cyrus said, regretting not coming sooner.

"You have. You have also missed that Gina has two children with Alastor. One boy and one girl. Shocking isn’t it?" Amelia replied, laughing at his surprised face. "I could not believe they were together at first, but when they started to take their attraction for each other seriously, I realised how good they were for each other. They still bicker, but they love each other."

"Gina isn’t here in the castle anymore. She lives in the home I bought near the border. It was a gift after all the years she spent by my side and has been loyal. She should be coming to the castle to stay for a few days so Alastor wouldn’t have to fly back home to see her and the children. They are soon planning to stay in the north forever," Amelia revealed, motioning with her hand for Cyrus to walk with her.

Alastor preferred living in the north where there were fewer humans. Gina and Alastor had also finally decided to turn Gina into a demon so they were going to stay close to the gates for when the time would come for the ritual to happen.

"The castle has changed so much in the time that you were away. It won’t be long before Mara will take over as queen and then I will move to the north with Killian to take care of it until Kila is of age to become queen. I am starting to doubt she will want to be in the north so Silas might be named king. They have a few years to figure it out. What have you been doing? Do you have children?" Amelia asked.

"I don’t. It is just me where I-"

"What about Jahi? Sorry," Amelia apologised for her outburst. "I’m just really curious to know if the two of you found happiness. I hope you did."

Amelia wanted to hear that the two finally managed to settle down since it was what Cyrus wanted.

"We didn’t. Jahi and I have not seen each other in ten years. She has long passed away, but I do not want to talk about that right now. I came here to see how your life is and I’ve worried all for nothing. I should have come sooner, but there were some things I needed to get used to before that. I’m sorry that I didn’t at least write to you," Cyrus apologised.

He could have sent letters to Amelia to let her know that he was alright, but he didn’t. He stayed out of sight from Killian who was once looking for him most likely for Amelia. There was no other reason for why Killian would look for him unless he wanted to finally finish him off.

"You needed time to yourself so you did just that and now you have returned. I am just happy to see you, Cyrus. I had been starting to get worried that something bad happened to you. It doesn’t feel like we have not seen each other in ten years. We look older, but it truly feels like I am young again and you were outside my door protecting me from danger. I’m really sorry about Jahi," Amelia said, touching Cyrus’s arm to comfort him.

Jahi caused trouble and had misdirected anger, but Amelia knew how much Cyrus cared for Jahi so she wouldn’t find joy in Jahi’s death. Amelia wanted to know what caused Jahi’s death, but she felt the time was not right to ask. She could only try to cheer Cyrus up for the time he would be here.

"My mother is back with us," Amelia said in an effort to change what they spoke about. "She came to this castle in the midst of me taking it back from Fraser. My grandmothers who are witches brought her back from the dead, but they didn’t bring all her soul back. Killian made a deal with Lucifer to get the rest of it. Lucifer is tired of giving us deals so I cannot ask for another one."

Amelia always found it odd how the devil grew tired of making deals with her or Killian.

"Oh, I am quite close to his wife Lilith. I don’t know if word reached you, but I spend a lot of time with my children in the underworld. I want them to get to see and be used to where demons are from. What else do I need to catch you up on?" Amelia asked herself. There was so much she needed to place in order.

Ten years of memories needed to be told.

"You can take your time since I do not plan to leave soon. I will stay here to make up for the time that I have missed as long as your husband doesn’t try to throw me back into the underworld. Ten years later and I think he might still hate me," said Cyrus.

"Unfortunately, he does, but I will not let him try to get rid of you. Oh! What great timing is this? I can sense him and Aydan. I want to show that you are here before any of the servants tell him that I have a guest and your name is said. Killian has not lost his jealous nature and over the years, I have become the same. Mostly because of demoness who don’t value marriage and try to seduce him," Amelia said, clenching her fists as the memory of one getting too close to Killian still haunted her.

"I’ve lost my temper once and broken someone’s arm. Not one of my best moments and I try to forget it ever happened. Killian’s possessive nature has also spread to me. The old me who didn’t like marriage and cared for me would be so shocked right at how I sometimes want to rip a woman’s head from her body for touching Killian too much. What has become of me?" Amelia sighed.

Cyrus smiled, finding this side of Amelia to be a surprisingly good change. She had changed so much and despite what he thought of Killian in the beginning, Killian was right for Amelia. It seemed like only Killian could have knocked down the walls Amelia put up and let her be open to trusting others and now excited to have many children.

"I am glad you didn’t turn down the offer to marry Killian," Cyrus said.

"I am too. I couldn’t imagine life without him or our children. Though I could honestly go back to the days when I wasn’t being told about having twenty children. I have not mentioned it to him yet, but I wouldn’t mind having another. I miss when the children were little babies-"

"Mother!" Aydan Bune, the youngest of the Bune children, called as she ran from Killian to where Amelia stood with a stranger. "Father showed me how to start a fire on my own and I almost made a blue flame."

"What?" Amelia panicked, looking ahead at Killian who was more focused on Cyrus than her.
