"Can you shut the fuck up or leave?" Killian asked, pissed off that Lucifer revealed Amelia’s pregnancy to Richard when she had not yet told her mother. He doubted Amelia would like her father to know the good news first. "She has not told her mother about it."

"And that’s important because?" Lucifer inquired, not seeing where the issue was for Killian to be angry with him.

"Where is Anne? Is she here? Can I see her?" Richard questioned, forgetting his hatred toward Killian at the moment because of Anne. If this was a place for the dead, he should be able to see his wife.

"I don’t allow people in the land of the dead to meet with the living so easily. I don’t like you enough to do you a favour to see her. You can’t leave this room to go up top to see her so no, you can’t see your wife," Lucifer answered.

"Living? My wife is dead. She has been dead for two years now," Richard said, looking to Killian for an explanation. He was deeply confused by the demon talk and now his wife was alive somehow?

"Anne is alive. I am not sure how long she has been alive, but she is back with Amelia while you rot here. Seems fitting so the two of them will get to live in peace without you disrupting their days. The only person who might miss you was that mistress or maybe she won’t. You were loved because of what you could offer as king. Is your life pitiful now?" Killian asked.

He was curious about what Richard felt about where his life was now. Were there any regrets even if they weren’t about Amelia or Anne? Richard certainly looked pitiful in Killian’s eyes.

Richard once again hung his head low in shame. That was not a question he was going to answer to entertain Killian. All he wanted was for someone to make sense of how Anne was still alive. He had seen her being laid to rest. He touched her body after he was informed of her death and felt her coldness.

It should be impossible for Anne to still be alive after what he saw. No one wished for her to still be alive more than he did. He laid her to rest with a heavy heart. The only woman he wanted to love him but she never did. Regardless of what he offered her, she always had that same look as she would rather be anywhere other than the castle.

"Did you know how your wife died?" Killian asked.

For a queen, it didn’t look like Anne’s death was properly investigated and for a man like Richard who was so obsessed with keeping her to himself, it would be a bit surprising if he had not tried uncovering the truth.

"Anne was sick," Richard answered. He was so caught up in thinking about Anne that he thought little about the fact he was answering Killian. "She had grown sick for weeks and she didn’t allow me in her tower so I did not know."

Anne distanced herself from him the moment they were told she was pregnant. After that, she left his side of the castle and took a tower for herself. Very few servants were allowed to enter and Richard was always turned away.

Richard had not laid with Anne since the announcement of their child no matter how much he demanded it. He was to lay with his queen whether she liked it or not. She had a duty to fulfill which was to please the king and give him an heir.

Anne would always give him the same answer each time he tried to enter her tower to have sex with her.

"Find a queen who wants to be here and have her lay with you."

Anne not wanting to lay with him and the fact she would let Leonard get close to her fueled his thoughts that the two were still together. There were many times he kept Leonard looking at Amelia with a protective gaze.

"Leonard has to be her father. They plotted all of this together. He had always been watching over her," Richard muttered.

"She was the princess you fool. Everyone in the castle watched over her. Just because you cheated doesn’t mean everyone around you wanted to be in messy affairs like you were. Suppose Anne did cheat on you with Leonard or some other man, Amelia is your daughter. There is no denying it since there is that awful smell from your kind that lingers on her," Killian said.

Killian decided not to keep telling Richard that Amelia was his daughter. Richard could continue to be in denial since Killian planned to tell his children they didn’t have a grandfather. They didn’t need one with the way Richard acted. And they didn’t need to be told about a dead man.

"This is one of those times I am happy that Lilith was an orphan. Having to deal with an in-law looks like a pain in the ass," Lucifer said, feeling angered by the conversation and it didn’t concern him.

Lilith should also be happy that he did not have a mother or father for her to be concerned about. Now that he thought about it, they were in a better place than most couples. Who would have thought the devil would have a better relationship than most people?

It was about time humans rewrote their books and stopped calling him an evil man who just popped up out of nowhere to make deals with them and ruin their lives. They needed to add the fact he was a good husband to those books.

Killian didn’t think he had it bad when it came to in-laws. Richard was dead before he started his relationship with Amelia and Anne was all for their relationship. The only time he could be bothered by Richard was when he would be told of the things Richard did or when he came to visit him like this.

Killian looked around the room once more and thought again about whether he wanted Amelia to be in a place like this or in the underworld altogether while she was pregnant.

Even if Lucifer were to find a way for Amelia to be here as a human, he was starting to see it as a place he didn’t want her to be.

Knowing Amelia, she would argue to come and visit the place he grew up, but unlike the castle where she might have some special memories with friends and her mother, there was nothing special for him to show her. He could only show her the home he had here which was nothing like the castles they resided in.

"Lucifer, can you take him out of the underworld for a few hours-"

"How many of my rules do you want me to break for you, Killian?" Lucifer asked, once again feeling like Killian was the devil and he was a demon who had to listen to him.

"A few," Killian replied.

After everything he had done for Lucifer, what he asked for shouldn’t be too much.

"I’m still angry about you taking my mirror and acting as if I forgot I lent it to you. You asked me to kill Agramon and bring Amelia into the underworld. Then at some point, I will need to help you turn her into a demon-"

"Will you do it or not?" Killian interjected as he walked toward the door to leave. If he stayed any longer, he might get rid of Richard. He would stick around for the conversation between Amelia and her father.

Like always, the men in her life would be bold whenever she was speaking to them alone. One insult from Richard’s mouth to Amelia and Killian would make his time in the underworld worse. It would be a good time to make some use of the torture room he had in his home here.

Whenever he felt bored he would come down here and toy with Richard for his enjoyment.

"You’ll have to make a deal with me so it doesn’t seem like I am giving you all these good favours while I am harsh on everyone else. I should start claiming you to be my son- or not," Lucifer changed his mind, holding up his hands when Killian turned to him. "You should really be concerned about this man being married to your daughter," he whispered to Richard.

As much as Lucifer liked Killian, he wouldn’t want him to marry one of his daughters, and he already regarded Killian as a son to him, which was why he was so easy on him compared to others like Agramon.

Killian stood out from the others who were special like him when Lucifer first gathered them. While everyone wanted to prove themselves worthy of being close to the devil, Killian gave one look at Lucifer, and then walked away as if he wasn’t impressed. Lucifer was amused by his boldness and kept close to Killian. Relying on Killian when he needed something done.

That was why he was hurt when he was not given an invitation to Killian’s wedding and even more hurt when Killian had not personally come to tell him about marrying a human.

Lucifer started to follow Killian out of Richard’s room.

"Lilith kept telling me about some sleep together she is having with your wife, so I shall allow his soul to be in the other world for an hour tomorrow. Only one hour, and when it ends, he will return. Oh, we almost forgot," Lucifer said, turning to face Richard, who reeked of fear. "Your punishment," he added and then snapped his fingers to let it continue.
