The Throne Is Mine
Chapter 335

Chapter 335: Chapter 335

"Amelia, you look like there is something bothering you. Is it something I can help with?" Anne asked.

She sat with Amelia on a bench, taking a break after a long day of Amelia putting together a new court and going over more sins of the people in town. Anne sat with apples she peeled and cut for Amelia. When she was finished removing the skin, she placed the slices in Amelia’s hand for her to eat.

"I was just thinking about when Killian will arrive. He won’t have to leave after this. Should I have planned something special?" Amelia asked.

Killian would have done something special if it was her returning to him.

"I think he would just like to spend time with you. You did spend your night with your friends. You should clear your tower and be alone with him tonight. Have your food sent to your room and I will make sure you are not disturbed," Anne said as she placed another two slices in Amelia’s hands.

Amelia brought the apple slice that finally had a taste now that it was coming from her mother to her lips to savour the sweetness. "I will do that. There is something that I have been putting off telling you because we are not certain yet. Killian will be here soon for us to tell you together."

"I hope it is not bad news. The castle has never been this peaceful and I do not want it to end. Let it return to normal when I am gone. There are plenty more apples for you. You do not need to eat them so quickly. Here," Anne said, putting down the fresh apple in her hand to get a napkin for Amelia to wipe her mouth with.

"Since you were gone, apples never tasted the same for me. They are surprisingly sweet now. I have to gather some grapes for Killian. He really likes them. You did not tell me about your conversation with Leonard. Will the two of you be together now? Will I have a new father?" Amelia questioned.

"I honestly do not know. I still love him as I did long ago, but it might be hard for him to pursue me again. I don’t know if it is because my appearance is different or if he still sees me as a queen and does not want to court me. Whatever it is, I am fine with us being friends and not needing to avoid each other," Anne answered.

"You should have cheated on father with Leonard-"

"Amelia!" Anne exclaimed and then laughed at how causally Amelia spoke of cheating all the time.

"I’m sure everyone is thinking about it. You had to deal with him bringing women into the castle to get a reaction out of you. You loved Leonard so you should have been able to do it secretly. I would not have been angry with you and I hope you are not hiding that it was because of me that you never did it. I would have helped hide the two of you from my father. No one would suspect it in my tower," Amelia said, plotting how she would have done it in her head.

"I’m sure you would have, but I would not have gotten you involved with my problems. Just because your father was a cheating bastard did not mean I had to be like him. Honestly, Leonard would not have secretly met with me," Anne added as it was the only reason she never had an affair. "Your father always had someone watching me so Leonard was always careful."

Leonard distanced himself from Anne when Richard started to speak about Amelia possibly not being a Blackwell princess.

"Does it bother you that Leonard never tried to do something to get you out of the castle?"

’That is not true. Leonard had come to me with many plans to get me out of the castle, but I turned them down. I know Richard would not leave us be and other than the north, there was nowhere for us to run to. And I alway knew you would be queen so I did not want to rid you of that chance," Anne answered.

Amelia frowned, saddened to hear once again that her mother stayed in the castle for her. "Please take this second chance and do whatever you want, mother. You do not need to worry about me. Whatever you wish to do to make yourself happy, I am all for it."

"I am happy. I am back with my daughter, you finally met my mothers, I have a son-in-law I like, your father is dead, and you’ve brought new people into my life. Do not for a second think that I am not happy now. In the past, I was happy. There were just a few moments with your father and grandmother that upset me. If I am unhappy, I will be honest and tell you. Have another" Anne said, handing Amelia another slice of apple.

Amelia gladly took the slice and when a large shadow passed over them, she looked up at the sky. "Killian is here. Why is he so early to not give me time to plan for something?" Amelia asked herself. She stood up to get ready to greet him as he landed not far from where she sat with her mother.

"What is that my dear wife is planning?" Killian asked. He lightly shook his shoulders for his wings to vanish.

"I was planning for us to be alone tonight. Apple?" Amelia asked, holding out the slice in her hands to him. He preferred grapes, but he should get to taste the sweetness of the apple.

"Mother," Killian first addressed Anne with a title he had taken upon himself to call her. He then looked at the apple slice Amelia wanted him to eat. He took a few steps forward to let her feed him. "It is sweet," he noted after a bite.

"Isn’t it? She has been peeling them for me. It is official that you won’t need to leave anymore right? You have not come bearing bad news that you will need to go back?" Amelia had to ask before she could jump for joy that he was back.

"I am not going anywhere. Another," Killian said, waiting for her to feed him again.

Anne placed her knife and the remaining apples in a basket along with the peels of apple skin. She knew when it was her time to leave so the couple could enjoy their time together. "I will see what needs to be done in the castle."

"You don’t need to leave us. There is something I have prepared for the two of you. A chance to speak with Richard Blackwell today."

Anne froze where she sat. She didn’t think there would ever come a time for her to speak with Richard again. There was so much she wanted to say to him about her time in the castle and what happened when she died.

Amelia was also surprised by the fact she would get to speak to her father today. She knew that it was something Killian would allow her to do since she had been brought up wanting to see how her father was, but a day for her to see him was never set. Now it was here.

"It is only for one hour. Amelia will only be able to see him again when she turns into a demon and gets to go into the underworld. You will not be able to see him again once the hour is over," Killian said to Anne.

She could not be turned into a demon because of the strange creature that she was now. It was possible for Anne to mess around with magic and become a witch like her mothers. They could help her to live longer.

"When will that hour start and where will we be meeting him? Will I need to go into the underworld?" Amelia asked, excited that the time was near to see Killian’s other home.

"No," Killian replied, patting Amelia’s head. He moved his hand away before she could push it away. "Lucifer will bring his soul here for you to see him. We should put off you going into the underworld because of your current state. When-"

Amelia tiptoed to cover Killian’s mouth before he could poorly give the big reveal to her mother. It was meant to be dramatic and followed by a lot of tears afterwards. Amelia slowly took her hand off his mouth and hooked her arm with his as she turned to face her mother.

"About that news, I needed to share with you when Killian came. Lilith has informed us that I am pregnant with our first child. You are going to be a grandmother," Amelia revealed, trying her best not to jump up and down. She was ready to go to the highest tower in the castle and yell that the kingdom’s first heir was on the way, but it was not time yet.

Anne had a feeling the news Amelia wanted to share was about a child, but nevertheless, she smiled and felt her eyes tearing up. She approached the two to not only hug Amelia, but Killian as well, at the same time. She wrapped her arms around the two of them as much as she could.

"I am happy for the two of you. It is a wonderful blessing to have a child. I look forward to the little one and seeing the two of you as parents. My little girl is growing too fast," Anne said, kissing Amelia’s forehead. She could not be happier that she was here to witness Amelia expanding her family.
