"What has taken you so long to come back down? You left me to have to beg Cerberus to speak with me. That dog never listens to me," Lucifer said as he carried Lilith to their bed. He had chains awaiting her so she would not leave him and go back to the world above. He needed his queen now.

"I might soon find myself in trouble so I am hiding here. You won’t let anyone get me, will you?" Lilith asked, tugging on his hair just as he liked. "What appearance will you have for me tonight."

"Not so fast, Lilith. What trouble did you bring upon yourself and who would come looking for you?" Lucifer asked, stopping right before he could place her on the bed. There wasn’t any trouble she could find herself in when she was just aiding Amelia.

"Killian-Ah!" Lilith exclaimed.

Lucifer dropped her the second he heard Killian’s name. "What did you do that would have him coming after you? Did you kill her? Shit," Lucifer muttered, turning away from Lilith. "Whatever you did, he found out about it. Killian is in the underworld."

Lilith smiled, ready for the entertainment that would soon come.

"Lilith!" Killian called as he landed on the balcony of Lucifer’s tower. "What did you feed her?"

"First of all, there is a door. It is rude for all of you to keep flying up to my tower whenever you want to speak to me. Secondly, how the hell did you get here so fast? Is that damn dog opening random gates for you again? I need to get a new guard dog for those gates. Let’s get this over with quickly so we can go back to our wives- Wait," Lucifer muttered as something dawned on him. "I smell your wife on you. Did you skip out on our plans?"

"Quiet you old fool. Our plans have not changed. Am I not to see my wife when you are in the middle of taking your wife to bed? I am here to speak to Lilith about what she has been feeding my wife. Out with it now," Killian demanded.

He trusted Lilith around Amelia aside from the obvious attraction she had for his wife, but like the devil, Lilith liked to play games. Killian wasn’t fond of Amelia being a part of those games. He found it suspicious that Lilith fed Amelia a cookie when there were no others in sight on the table. He doubted she went to the town to get cookies to eat.

Killian pushed Lucifer to the side when the devil started walking toward him. He looked at Lilith on the bed smiling at him like she was innocent. "What did you feed her?" He asked once more. "I will not ask a third time."

"Will you kill me if I do not tell you? You know that you cannot kill you-"

"You are not one of us for it to be impossible to kill you. The only reason you have lived so long is because of the man you are married to. Not because of what you are. So before I prove that I can kill you, tell me what you did," Killian said, starting a fire with blue flames in the palm of his hands.

Lilith leaned back. "I was only helping your wife and this is the thanks I get? You were supposed to find out on your own. I was only feeding her before she would starve."

Lucifer walked closer to the bed. "Starve? She is now the queen of two lands. How could she possibly starve?" He asked.

"I know that men are never experts when it comes to these things, but the two of you are demons. Shouldn’t you be able to notice by now? The cookie I fed her had a soul that I took from the underworld. There," Lilith said, falling back onto the softness of the bed. "Leave me alone now."

"Why in this world would you waste a perfectly good soul on a human? She is not a demon yet!" Lucifer argued. That was a good soul that he could have eaten or fed to someone as a reward if they did something for him.

"Oh cry me the damned river, Lucifer. You are acting like hell is short of souls. You had a big arrival of souls in the underworld today and I can still hear the cries of souls arriving. It is only a few that I took. Killian will soon be taking more to feed her. I was only doing it until she noticed," Lilith said, staring at the ugly portrait of herself that Lucifer kept above the bed when she was not around.

"What am I missing here- Killian? That bastard," Lucifer muttered, spinning around to look for Killian. "He shows up without saying a word and then leaves without saying a word. What the hell were the two of you talking about? I have too much to think about for the two of them to add something about Amelia. What were you doing with the souls?"

"I don’t need to tell you since you will soon find out from Killian. Now, come over here before I decide to sleep, Lucy."

In the Blackwell castle, Amelia sat in her room brushing her hair as she prepared for bed. She was still angered by the fact Killian had left her and gone who knew where when she was looking forward to spending more time with him.

"He must have left the kingdom already. That heartless bastard. Oww," she winced when she accidentally tugged on her hair too much. The brush became knotted up in her hair. "Great. I will have a bad ending to an already bad night. How can he claim to love and want to spend time with me, but then he leaves me all alone?"

"Having to walk back to my bedroom alone with everyone looking for him. He should just stay wherever he is now and show up in front of me. Why did I even marry such a man?"

"I leave for a moment and now our marriage is being questioned. I am almost afraid to leave you again," Killian said, watching Amelia. He laid on the bed watching Amelia take out her anger on her hair. "Do not torture your hair. You are pulling it out and you know how much I like it. We mustn’t waste a single strand."

Amelia looked in the mirror at Killian lying on her bed. "I do not want to speak to you, so you should go where someone will speak to you. I expect to find my bed empty when I am done with my hair. You were so quick to leave when we were in the middle of dinner, so please be quick now. I want to go to bed without arguing."

"Then come lay beside me and not say a word. We can sleep peacefully and then I shall tell you where I went when morning comes. Or do you wish to hear now what Lilith was feeding you?" Killian asked, noticing how her hand slowed with brushing her hair. She was curious about what she ate, but Amelia was stubborn.

"I will ask Lilith tomorrow. Why are you not leaving? You found it so easy to do earlier. Go on and leave me again. Killian!" Amelia exclaimed, dropping her brush. She tried to hold onto the sides of the chair she sat in as it was pulled back to her bed. "This is not funny."

"I was growing bored of you being angry with me. I apologise for leaving without informing you first, but I feared what Lilith might have fed you. It turned out to be something from the underworld. Something that you needed and I did not notice. Maybe I am a terrible husband you should be angry with," Killian said, pulling the chair closer to the bed for him to reach out and touch her hand.

Amelia pushed her anger to the side and turned to face him. Knowing what she ate was more important. "What did she feed me?"

Killian patted the space on the bed beside him. "Come to bed and I will tell you. It is important that you know now," he answered.

Amelia frowned, wishing she could ignore him, but she wanted to know. She stood up from the chair and sat on the bed. "This is far enough so tell me."

"She fed you a soul so your own wouldn’t be drained by the child inside of you," Killian revealed, looking at her flat stomach. It was odd that he had not sensed it and could not sense it now, but he didn’t doubt that Lilith did.

Amelia laughed as it was foolish to think she was carrying a child. "That is not funny, Killian. We have not been sleeping with each other long enough for it to be known that I am with child."

"The fact that it has grown enough for Lilith to notice something and feed you a soul means that the child you carry is completely demon and not half-bred like I thought it would be. Demon children grow faster than humans and the parent must keep themselves fed with souls to feed the child."

"In your case, you do not eat souls so the child will feed on your own until it drains you and kills you. That is why Lilith started to feed you a soul in a cookie which made it easy for you to eat as human," Killian explained.
