The Throne Is Mine -
Chapter 260
Chapter 260: Chapter 260
"It is finished. Drink this, and don’t let a single drop spill. It was hard to make it," Sybil said, handing Amelia a wooden spoon with the potion she brewed.
"Wait. You said the other potion fell on her. Why does she have to drink this one?" Killian asked before Amelia could try taking a sip.
Sybil scratched the back of her head. "Fine, just throw it on your body. It should work the same way. I’ll get to pick the pieces of snake skin off of you."
Sybil didn’t see why the snake she killed should go to waste if Amelia wasn’t going to drink the potion.
Amelia felt more nervous to see that Sybil had forgotten she wouldn’t need to drink it. "On second thought, I prefer Killian putting me to sleep. For the last few nights, I’ve been able to sleep on my own. So," she said, pushing the spoon away.
Sybil wasn’t happy to hear this since it cost her a lot to make it. "I had to kill one of my snakes and find a special root to make this. Drink," she said, pushing the spoon toward Amelia.
"See, the snake is exactly why I do not wish to drink. How about you put it in a bottle, and I will use a tiny drop each time I take a soak? You just said I could put it on my body," Amelia smiled, ignoring the pure look of annoyance from Sybil.
Sybil was tempted to just throw the potion on Amelia and get it over with, but beside her was a demon who would set her on fire. "Don’t come back to my cave ever again. You’re just as annoying as your mother. Do whatever you want with it," she said, looking around for a bottle to pour it into.
"Thank goodness," Amelia sighed in relief. She wasn’t sure if she was going to use this potion at all. Sybil wasn’t making her feel safe with drinking or just placing a potion she made on her body.
"Baby," Killian teased Amelia.
"I am not a baby. You also looked concerned about it. Isn’t that why you brought up that I don’t have to drink it? Are you sure there are no other witches you can go to for help?" Amelia asked.
"Sybil has her moments where you need to worry for your life, but she is a witch with a lot of knowledge," Killian replied. Sybil had a way of getting the spells or potions he needed in a short time.
"Why are the two of you talking about me right there in my own cave? Hurry up and get out of here. Here," Sybil shoved the bottle, the necklace, and the ring into Amelia’s arms. "I put the spell on the ring and necklace when the two of you were outside flirting with each other. No one outside of an arm’s length should be able to hear you speak. Give me my payment for this and for the letters before you go."
Sybil picked up a knife so she could cut off a piece of Killian’s wing, but before she could, Killian did it himself. Killian made his wings appear, and with his sharp claws, he dug into his right wing and tore off a small piece.
Amelia grimaced at the sight of it. Killian had hurt himself because of her.
Sybil licked her lips at the sight of Killian’s flesh. "Go go. I have things to do," she said, taking the flesh and turning around to start working on the potion.
"I’m sorry," Amelia apologized to Killian. "You had to do this because of me."
"I am the one who offered it to her. It will heal and grow back soon. Come, or we will be late for dinner," Killian said, pulling Amelia close so they could start making their way back to the castle. He could hear her stomach preparing to make its presence known. "Do not worry about it. I assure you, it does not hurt, and it will look normal in a few hours. I heal fast."
"Give up. I’m going to overthink this," Amelia muttered. If she were a demon now, she could have offered Sybil her own wing. "Must we really fly back- Ah!" Amelia screamed as, with one powerful flap, they were lifted into the air and out of Sybil’s cave. ’I am going to kill him.’
Once again, Amelia wished Killian would have taken her offer to not fly back to the castle. Amelia suddenly felt a chill on her body, and then her back fell on a soft surface. She slowly opened her eyes to find Killian right above her, and when she looked beside him, she noticed the familiar dark ceiling of their room.
"Killian," she said, looking Killian dead in the eyes. "All this time, you could do your magic trick and have us appear here without flying all the way back? You!" She squeezed his arm after he smiled. "I had to suffer with flying while you could have done this from the beginning."
"And have me missed you clinging to me? Where is the fun in that? Let’s put this away for a moment," Killian took the potion, necklace, and ring out of her hands. He placed them to the side of Amelia on the bed, where she wouldn’t roll over them. Hopefully. "I would like to go back to our conversation about having sex out in the open."
"It is time for dinner," Amelia replied. She was not going to miss another dinner. She wanted to be present at dinner in case Lucifer spoke of this plan to open the gates of the underworld.
"I am referring to after dinner. When the castle will be somewhat quiet and we can leave once more. Surely, you do not have something to do after dinner. You would not leave your poor husband all alone," Killian said, pressing his thigh against the warmth between her legs.
"Isn’t it a bit sad that you are making arrangements to sleep with me, my dear poor husband? I don’t see any reason why we can’t leave after dinner, but it must be somewhere no one travels. I do not want to be stumbled upon by someone. I don’t know how I would ever be able to get over that shame."
"Shame?" Killian chuckled, as that would not come from someone walking in on them. "If it is someone bold, they would ask to join or simply turn around. When will you get used to the fact that you are not in a place where intimacy is judged? We can go outside to have sex in the hall, and no one will judge us. As we speak, there are rooms filled with groups of people enjoying themselves."
"As fun as that sounds, I would love for you to have a bit of shame, and please remember to never invite me to these rooms you speak of. I only want to be intimate with you," Amelia said. Relationships with more than two people were not for her.
"Wait!" She dug her nails into his shirt without thinking the moment he pushed against her once more. She wanted to close her legs, but Killian’s lower half blocked her.
"I have no intention of sharing you. I only wish that you would become a little more adventurous with me. Forget about the rules of that foolish kingdom," Killian said, slipping his hand under Amelia while she was distracted so he could pull at the string that helped hold her dress together. It would only take the top of her dress to loosen for him to be able to convince her to be a little late for dinner.
"Don’t even think about it," Amelia warned, sitting up before a dangerous move could be made.
