The Throne Is Mine
Chapter 183

Chapter 183: Chapter 183

"Gina, do not cry because then I will cry-"

"I can’t help it!" Gina exclaimed as she lunged forward to hug Amelia. This was a surreal moment to witness Amelia become queen. The goal was to become queen of the Blackwell kingdom but Gina knew Amelia was well suited for the north. Though the demons weren’t welcoming of Amelia’s presence yet, Amelia was treated better there. "Queen Amelia Bune," she added.

Ameli smiled, patting Gina’s back as tears soaked her shoulder. Gina had been by her side for a good enough time to learn of her aspirations so seeing her become queen was a heartfelt moment. All they were missing now was Cyrus who stood in the back looking around for threats. "That is enough Gina before your tears make my dress wet," she said.

Gina stepped back to inspect Amelia’s appearance, "I didn’t ruin your look right?"

"Cousin," Fraser caught up with the group. He gave Gina a displeased look for casually touching a royal. He would never understand why his cousin cared to surround herself with people of low status when there were plenty of women in the castle well suited to be around a princess. "Be mindful that there are many eyes on you. You are not in the privacy of your bedroom."

"I am aware of that, Fraser but I won’t turn away the people who have been by my side. I don’t care how anyone else takes that. I think your grandfather wants you, Fraser. I wasn’t aware that he was attending. He is not related to me nor is he a member of the court," Amelia said, suspicious of Cedric Adam’s presence at her wedding. ’This is the first time he is sticking close to Fraser,’ she thought.

Fraser needed to worry about her less and more about the people ready to use him each way he turned.

"What are you thinking about?" Killian asked, turning Amelia to look at him instead of looking at her annoying cousin. He took her to the side so Fraser’s mother could not hear them speak.

"How he will learn what it is like to be royalty. He likes the lifestyle that comes with being king but he isn’t aware of the pressure and the stress life in that castle sucks you into. I’m curious how he will react. Will he handle it better than I expect? Give in to the pressure or just start killing people left and right because he thinks it will solve his problem. I hope that during his reign as king, the kingdom does not fall. I cannot stop worrying about it because it has been my home for many years," Amelia said.

"It is still your home. Remember I said you can visit any time you are upset with me. You can return and spend a few days with your grandmother if you want to."

"It is a nice offer but not a good look after we got married today. Do not forget," Amelia paused to excuse herself from the group for a moment. She left Gina and the others to walk with Killian alone. "I want to start preparing for an heir as soon as possible."

"I hate to disappoint you but I have no plans of bedding you tonight," Killian replied, his mind still not changed.

"You," Amelia was baffled by Killian’s words. "I told you I am ready for us to start. You cannot do this."

Killian was amused by her saying he could not do this when it was his body. "I can and I intend not to. Nothing will change my mind. As much as I am in need of offspring, I would enjoy our intimacy not always being about children. I do desire you, my queen. Like any man to a woman he cares for."

Amelia looked away from Killian to hide her expression. Her heart stirred each time he was open with desiring her. "I had not considered doing it because we want each other and not just for heirs," she admitted. Perhaps it wasn’t right for her to speak of wanting to sleep with her husband for the purpose of children when it should be done for two of them to become one.

"And I have to ask, why are you calling sex ’it’? Sex is not a taboo word," Killian whispered.

"Pardon me for not being able to say certain words casually. We cannot all be like you," Amelia replied. "So, if I want to have sex with you too because I do want you, would you?" She stopped walking and looked up at him.

"It depends on how our wedding ends. You are aware I can hear even the slightest whispers here, right?"

Amelia nodded her head. Sometimes it was frustrating that she could not keep a secret from him or other demons.

Killian was angered from the moment he and Amelia walked down from the altar after officially becoming married but hid his anger from her. Killian had not felt this angry for days compared to when he came down the mountain for her father’s head. He heard every word of how people from the Blackwell side spoke of his figure and how Amelia did not realize what awaited her once the guest left.

They were not gentle in their words for what they thought he would do to her. Some even claim she might want to run back to the north. He knew there were instances where kings or tyrants took over the land and used the princesses to their liking or if they married the princesses for peace they were not gentle and took out their hatred on the young girls.

Killian had no intention of being like those men and by now, Amelia knew this. What angered him was hearing how they predicted the outcome of her wedding night but none of them came to speak with her to share their concern. None of them came to the castle to voice their concerns about what might happen to Amelia if she were to wed him.

It pissed him off and he could not let their words slide. One by one he would take them and let them eat their words but not right now so the blame could not be placed on the north for many Blackwells suddenly disappearing.
