The Throne Is Mine
Chapter 161

Chapter 161: Chapter 161

Amelia was curious about what Agramon was speaking of but she didn’t want to give him the satisfaction of seeing that she was curious. She would have a conversation with Killian when they were alone. "I do not want to know about it. Are we going to continue this game or shall we eat? I had a long day," she said.

"Are you certain you do-"

"I do not care about it. It won’t change that I am marrying Killian. I suggest you get used to the fact I will be in the north from now on and stop trying to break up a marriage that has not yet started. I would prefer you avoid us if this is what I must deal with," said Amelia.

She had no time for secrets about Killian to be shared now. Quite frankly, she also had one or two secrets to tell Killian. They had a lot to learn about each other but she didn’t need Agramons’ help.

Agramon stared at Amelia, amused by her confidence. He desired to break it just as he had done with many of her kind. "I must say the Blackwell blood is quite something. Some of your ancestors were good warriors which made their souls much tastier to feast on. It’s been long since I tasted-"

Amelia was wide-eyed at how swiftly Killian had taken a knife from the side of his plate and thrown it at Agramon’s head.

Agramon looked back at the knife now stuck deep into the wall behind him. "That could have been bad, Killian. What if I had leaned to the side?"

"You are lucky that I missed you so moving would have been helpful. I’ve told you many times that you talk too much, haven’t I?"

Agramon clicked his tongue. "And you talk too little which makes it hard for me to like you. I always think you are silently plotting to kill me in your head."

"Well," Killian smirked. "You aren’t wrong."

Amelia stared at Alastor who stared back at her. Judging from his nonchalant expression, this conversation between Killian and Agramon was the norm. Two men who hated each other and had the power to kill each other but couldn’t. She guessed the only reason they weren’t fighting right now was that the devil would have their heads.

"See, everyone else always makes it seem like it is only me trying to kill you. Well, now I have you to kill plus one," Agramon stated. He had no need to hide that he wanted Amelia dead when it was obvious.

"Touch a hair on her head and being chained up or punished by the devil shall be the last thing you have to worry about. I will kill you regardless of what the devil says. Mark my words," Killian promised.

"You!" Agramon chuckled, holding over as he clutched his stomach. "Killian, has something odd happened? Don’t tell me the devil’s little bug has spread to you too. Falling for humans. Other creatures will laugh at us. How can creatures from the underworld give their heart to something so fragile?" He wondered. He could never understand what the devil was thinking and now Killian.

"Do you want to try this bread?" Killian asked Amelia, ignoring Argamon from this point on. From the very beginning, he had never hidden his interest in humans and was never against having relationships with them whether they be just intimate or full of emotions. Why was everyone acting so surprised now?

He brought off a piece and offered it to Amelia.

Amelia wasn’t in the mood for bread especially when she had a wedding dress that was already tight that she needed to fit into but she didn’t want to upset Killian so he accepted the bread from him.

"It is sweet," she commented, enjoying the surprising taste.

"The cook is excited to try new dishes that will suit your taste. You should pay him a visit in the future and tell him what you like," said Killian.

Agramon wasn’t fond of being ignored but instead of making that known, he sat back and inspected Amelia further. She wasn’t fit to rule demons in his eyes but she was perfect for the little cage he had that was now empty. There was a bright side to Killian having feelings for the little human. There was now a weakness he could poke around at to get to Killian.

"I’m afraid simple food like this does nothing for a demon like me. I must go back to the underworld and catch a few souls to feed on. It was nice meeting you, princess."

’That was a lie,’ Amelia thought, picking up on it quickly. Agramon said it so casually that anyone would think he liked meeting her. She wanted this personality he was forcing before her to slip so she could see what he was really like.

Agramon snapped his finger, disappearing from the chair he sat in.

"Abou time," Alastor spoke up for the first time since Agramon appeared. "Be prepared for him to target her. You should increase the number of guards around her."

"Hmm. What do you think of him?" Killian asked Amelia.

"I do not know which makes him scary. I did not get to see what kind of person he truly is because of the way he spoke and the fact he didn’t show me what he truly looks like. A couple more run-ins with him and I should know. I will try my best not to put myself in a situation where he uses me to take this castle from you," Amelia said but she had a feeling this situation could not be avoided in the future.

"There is no need for you to try because as long as I am alive, he will not get to you. It is time you call for Loki to join your side and I will inspect the men Cyrus picked out for you. You should know, even when I am not by your side I am only a whisper away. You only need to call my name," said Killian.
