The Throne Is Mine
Chapter 154

Chapter 154: Chapter 154

Phillip balled up his fists desperately wanting to attack Alastor for hitting him but if he did attack, he was bound to find himself without a tongue. It wouldn’t be a fair fight since he was not as strong as the king’s dog.

’What a world this has become where a demon would punch another to protect a human,’ Phillip thought. Living in the up-top world must be getting to Killian and his people. The man needed to pay a visit to the underworld to be reminded of what they are and what they do to humans.

Cyrus was upset he was not the one to punch the man for being indecent with Amelia but he was thankful that Alastor would not let Amelia be disrespected even if Alastor was only doing this not because he cared about Amelia but because he didn’t like someone disrespecting Killian’s choice. So far, Amelia was having a better time in the north than he expected.

Amelia found Phillip to be the scum of the earth for what his kind took part in and decided she did not require his help. She got the gist of this pointless fight and knew how to stop it already. "I want to make an announcement, Alastor. Please gather everyone for me," she said.

Alastor looked at Amelia, trying to think of what she had in mind. He left her side to ring a bell in the village. From the very first ring, those present stopped to look at him. It had been a long time before anyone cared to ring the bell.

Amelia walked to where Alastor was and said, "Hello. My name is Amelia Blackwell, soon to be Amelia Bune. I’ve been sent here to help solve this feud you have and I have already come up with a solution. There is plenty of lands for one group to move to so the fighting can stop. I won’t randomly pick which side must move so we will do this your way. A challenge."

For people who enjoyed fighting, the only way they would listen or follow what she had in mind was if she spoke their language. It was how she dealt with the troublesome children who frequented the castle with their parents.

Amelia continued to say, "Each side should present their best fighter for Killian and me to watch. Let’s say five fighters so whoever wins the most fights out of five matches gets to keep this land. The loser shall move. If you show good skills, I will convince Killian to bring you to the castle. Unfortunately, the wedding is near so this challenge will take place right after. It shall give you enough time to prepare. There should be no more fighting until then. Save it for when it counts. That is all."

"And what if the losers do not want to leave this land? We have been fighting for more years than you have been alive," someone said from the crowd of people. "This doesn’t concern you."

"As the future queen of the north, it does. This feud is nothing but a headache to me and I have not been in this village that long. The loser will be forced to move to another land and if they don’t, I shall not stop Killian from tossing back down to the world you came from and banishing you from this world," Amelia said without knowing if that was something that could happen. She would make it happen if she did not have to continue hearing about this stupid fight.

"Since you have been fighting for many years as you said, the only reason any side would shy away from this challenge would be if you are scared that you will lose. Whoever backs out automatically becomes the loser and you must move. I look forward to a good fight when Killian and I return. Have fun practicing," said Amelia.

Now that this idea was thrown out there she wanted to get out of this village as quickly as possible. The mud was irritating, some parts of the village were still on fire, and she didn’t like being near a demon that sought pleasure in taking advantage of someone while they were asleep. Plus, there was still a lot more she needed to see.

"Are you ready to leave? This is quick don’t you think? This is your big task," said Alastor. He thought she would have tried to fix the issue in one day. It would have been a pointless attempt but he would have liked to see her try and fail.

"This feud has been going on for years. I cannot do anything else but set a day for a challenge and see if they will fight. I cannot waste the entire day here when there is more land to be seen and I must prepare for my wedding. You should wipe that look off your face, Alastor. I am not going to fail," Amelia said as she got the same look from Alastor that she would receive from her father each time he expected her to fail.

"A feud going on for years will be solved by my princes. You should feel ashamed that she is doing what you could not," Gina took a jab at Alastor. What was so great about this man?

"I have never tried to end the feud and if I would, I would either kill everyone here or send them back to the underworld," Alastor replied to Gina.

Killian was the one who should have been dealing with this matter but since no one outside this village was getting hurt, he ignored the trouble here. He was only meddling in it now because he wanted to give his little bride a distraction as he dealt with the people wanting her dead.

After years of being a feared man, Killian turned into this love fool and it disgusted Alastor to his very core. Perhaps instead of the low-level demon, he should toss Killian back into the underworld. A day or two there should make him somewhat normal again.
