The Throne Is Mine -

Chapter 141: Chapter 141
"I find it to be fascinating how your people can change colors. It is more fascinating that I am the one making you change colors. Since you are so bold to throw a shoe-"
"Enough about the shoe," Amelia rolled her eyes. She could imagine years from now Killian would be telling their child or children how she threw a shoe at him upon their first meeting.
Killian ignored the annoyance about the shoe and replied, "I’d like to know how much you enjoyed our kisses. For research purposes of course. I need to know what you like or don’t like to adjust to your liking."
"Granted that I don’t have experience kissing other men to judge our kisses, I will say that I enjoy them and there is nothing to change. However, if there is something else you can do to make it more exciting I won’t stop you. I should be the one asking if you enjoy it. Before we left, I received a lecture that it is my duty to please you. Not that I like it but it is what it is so," Amelia looked elsewhere to hide her embarrassment. "If there is anything I have to do please tell me in advance."
Killian stopped walking as he quickly caught on to what Amelia was getting at. "Did old hag tell you to forget about what you would feel and do as I want? Let me guess. It’s the same foolish tale that things will be harder for you if you do not obey?"
Amelia nodded her head. She didn’t expect much from Killian when it came to intimacy. Kissing was one thing but she heard countless stories of what happened to some women during their nights with their husbands thanks to the gossip from castle maids. It was one of the reasons why she was not a fan of marriage. She was not a doll for any man to use to his liking and she would be quiet.
Amelia was trying to be open-minded with Killian by getting an idea of what he expected so she could prepare herself and there would be no need for any of the things she heard to happen to her.
"For fuck’s sake, they were preparing you to get taken advantage of. Who is the real demon here?" Killian angrily spoke, finding humans to be backward. "Princess, I hope never intended to do as they recommended. I would like to think your stubborn side would come out here."
"I honestly don’t know. All that matters is making an heir-"
"That is not all that matters," said Killian. "You know you are supposed to enjoy yourself right? It is not all about making a baby."
"I know but there aren’t such feelings between us for me to think about anything other than creating an heir. I don’t have any request for when we would have sex other than making sure it does not hurt so it is mostly about what you want. Just be gentle. Just tell me what you like," Amelia said, walking ahead of Killian to make it to the dining hall in time but a grip on her hand stopped her.
"Do not bullshit me. I saw the number of dirty books that came with your belongings today. You should do better to hide them," Killian said, ignoring her face turning red from how embarrassed she felt. "There has to be something that stands out to you from one of them. I will not touch you until you realize it is not all about me."
Amelia didn’t like the lecture she received as much as Killian since it made her feel like an object but what else was she supposed to do? She wasn’t like him who might have the experience to know what she would want.
She always thought the books she read were unrealistic. Amelia viewed those books as something made to let women escape reality and enter a dream world where they would get what they want. Amelia never allowed the books to fool her into setting high expectations as she would surely be let down one day. She didn’t know what to expect with sex so she would follow Killian’s lead with what he wanted.
They should all blame the stupid tradition of keeping girls in the dark until their wedding night. Amelia understood why Killian would be upset considering he had been gentle with her unlike the stories she heard and her words made it seem like he was going to do things to her against her will.
"I’m sorry for bringing that," Amelia apologized. "I don’t think you are that kind of person. I just do not know much so I am depending on you to help guide me when the time comes. I will think about what I want. I will remember that it is more than just making an heir. It is hard when we don’t love each other. You are intrigued by me and I am here because I want to keep my people safe and rule."
Killian pinched the bridge of his nose to refrain from being upset with her. He couldn’t be. Unlike demons who engaged in sexual activities and had no issue speaking about it from morning till night, humans wanted women to be quiet about the matter until they were married.
"Amelia, we do not have to do anything the night we wed if there are no feelings involved. Let’s make a deal. Until we have fallen in love with each other, we will not be intimate. An heir can wait," he added when she opened her mouth to object. Killian would be alive for hundreds of years after their marriage and he would keep her alive during that time. Amelia was saying I do to a lifetime with him.
"Tell that to the people who will be looking for me to be pregnant right after our wedding but fine, I agree to it." Amelia shook Killian’s hand to seal the deal. Her heart warmed, enjoying what he was doing for her. From what she felt now, she knew it wouldn’t be long before she would fall for him but she wondered if he would truly find her to be more than intriguing.
