The Throne Is Mine
Chapter 136

Chapter 136: Chapter 136

"Your room is quite big. It is good to see they are already treating you well. Looks homey," Gina commented on the room, impressed with what they prepared for Amelia.

Amelia closed the door behind them to have privacy. Cyrus was meant to visit them after he helped Jahi to her room. "It looks that way because it’s Killian. I don’t want to-"

"What!" Gina loudly screeched. "Why did you bring us to his room? I thought you were bringing me to your room. Wait, don’t tell me," she eyed Amelia with suspicion. "Did he give up his room for you?"

"No, what I took you were going to say. No, Gina. This is our room because it was a little bit dangerous for me to be away from him last night. I think I should be able to get my own room tonight since it has been announced I will be his wife. At the moment, I only have to watch out for a couple of his enemies who want me dead. Are you alright?" Amelia asked as Gina looked as if she could pass out at any moment.

Gina touched her head to calm her thoughts. "I understand that is dangerous for you here but he could have stationed some guards outside of your room. It is not our tradition for the couple to sleep in the same bed before the wedding. What if word of this reaches back home?"

"It won’t, I hope. The only person I trust to keep me safe is Killian. I am surprised he let us come back here alone. Is he secretly here? He can disappear," Amelia muttered. She looked around the room for anything odd.

"Disappear?" Gina walked up to Amelia and touched her head to check if she was sick. "You seem to be fine. Did you get into the alcohol here?"

"No. Gina, listen to me. I have something important to tell you and I want you to know that every word I tell you is the truth and I am not pranking you, okay? You’re going to want to sit down for this," Amelia grabbed Gina by her shoulders and pushed her to sit down on the bed.

"Amelia, you’re scaring me. You’re not going to say you think you are pregnant, are you?" Gina looked at Amelia’s stomach.

"No, Gina. I have never had sex with anyone. I’ve only kissed Killian and we didn’t sleep on the same bed last night. Besides, I have not known him for that long to even think that I am pregnant. Just hush and listen to what I have to say. I should have told you this before you came all the way up here but there were so many things on my mind. Gina, the people here are demons," Amelia said to get it over with.

Gina stared at Amelia before clapping her hands. "I understand. They haven’t been treating you well but you cannot call them demons, Amelia. We need to give them time to get to know you and then they’ll treat you better."

Amelia pinched the bridge of her nose. "That’s not what I meant. I mean, the people here are literally demons. That’s one of the secrets of the north. They are demons. That’s why they are so much stronger and they can freaking fly. You would not believe that Killian’s wolves are actually hellhounds. We didn’t ride up here. Killian flew us up the mountain."

Gina’s eyes filled with water as she thought Amelia was already losing her mind. She knew it wasn’t a good idea for her and Amelia to be apart on the way up to the north. "Amelia," she cried. Gina stood up and hugged Amelia. "I shouldn’t have left you alone. I’m so sorry. You’re losing your mind."

Amelia frowned, wanting to bang her head against a table. She couldn’t be upset with Gina since if anyone were to tell her that demons were real without proof she would call them crazy. Amelia was happy to hear a knock on the door which meant Cyrus was here to help prove that she wasn’t crazy.

"Come in!" Amelia yelled for Cyrus to come inside. "Quickly."

Cyrus opened the door of the room he never thought he would enter. Killian’s scent was all over the room so he knew it did not belong to Amelia alone. He entered the room slightly taken back by Gina hugging Amelia and soft cries filling his ears. "I wasn’t aware you were that sad to be apart from the princess," he said.

Gina pulled away from Amelia to look at Cyrus. "Amelia is going crazy and you are talking way too much. Since he found that woman, don’t you think that Cyrus has started to act weird? And why is it that he has a partner before me? I was the only one out of the three of us wanting to get married but I am the only one still single. What kind of madness is this? I should be the one going crazy."

Cyrus looked at Amelia who appeared to be perfectly fine. The only thing he disliked was the fact he could smell Killian on her which meant the man must have taken advantage of the fact he was alone with Amelia. "Why does she think you have gone crazy?" he asked.

Amelia had requested for him to come here but he did not what for.

"First, how did you find this room when I forgot to give you directions? Have you been to this castle before? I thought you lived a simple life?"

"I have not. You are forgetting you two are the only humans here. It is hard to ignore your scent so it is easy to find where you are. What did you need?" He asked.

"Right. I told Gina that the people here are demons but as I should expect, she does not believe my words. Can you do something to make her see that it is true? Nothing drastic. I don’t want her to pass out," said Amelia.

"Okay," Cyrus agreed to do it. It would be fun to watch Gina lose her mind and deeply regret packing up her life to come to the north. It would not be easy for her to leave yet now that she would learn their secret.

Gina could not believe Amelia was bringing Cyrus into this nonsense of demons. Then again, Cyrus always did what Amelia told him to do. "Fine. Let’s see what it is you want Cyrus to show me. I cannot believe that ugh..." Gina’s words became lost as she watched Cyrus’s hair change to white, his eyes turn bright red, and there were small horns on his head.

"I didn’t know he had horns," Amelia muttered, intrigued by the sight of it. "See. I was telling the truth. I know this is- Gina? Gina?" She snapped her fingers in front of Gina’s face to get her attention. "It’s official. I broke Gina," Amelia bit her nail.

Cyrus wasn’t concerned like Amelia was and started to laugh at Gina’s frozen expression. "Had I known this was what it took to make her shut up I would have done it a long time ago. Ow," he looked at Amelia after she pinched him.

"Do not take joy in this Cyrus. I am more concerned by the fact she is silent than screaming. Do you think her mind is alright? This is a natural response right?" Amelia asked.

"If I am correct, most humans experience shock before something in their mind snaps and they lose their mind. Like that," he pointed to Gina ready to scream.

Amelia stepped forward to cover Gina’s mouth with her hand. She was just in time to muffle Gina’s scream with her hand. "Gina, I know that it is unreasonable of me to request this but please try to calm down and not scream. I promise you that everything will be okay. We need to talk about this without you screaming please."

Gina continued to scream and pointed at Cyrus who had not changed back to normal. How was she supposed to be calm and not scream when there was a demon here? Demons were real. They should be running o a temple for help. Why was Amelia calm and not running away?

"Cyrus, can you please change back to normal? Your appearance isn’t exactly helping her. Stop taking pleasure in this and please help me. I cannot send her back home now so I need her to calm down. Gina, I am going to take my hand off of your mouth to explain everything to you but you must not scream okay? Alright," Amelia removed her hand after Gina agreed not to scream.

Gina started to hyperventilate as she wasn’t able to calm down from what she learned. "T-This has to be a weird magic trick. Demons cannot exist. Amelia, tell me this is all just a weird prank that I cannot understand please."

"It is not," Amelia replied in a regretful tone. It was all her fault for not telling Gina sooner.
