The Throne Is Mine -
Chapter 135
Chapter 135: Chapter 135
"King Killian, this was meant to be a private meeting," the man named Seth said. He didn’t care to watch his gaze and hide his dislike for Amelia. She was not going to be his queen. He only served the queen they had in the underworld.
"Now it isn’t," Killian replied. "I am not going to send her away to make you comfortable and I have a feeling whatever you wish to speak about will concern her. Tell me, what is on your master’s mind for you to disrupt training? Why shouldn’t I kill you for annoying me?"
"Agramon sent me with a message-"
"Since when have you become a bird, Seth? What important message is this that could not be sent in a letter or Agramon coming here himself? He is meant to come and greet the woman who will be my wife. Manners are thought in the underworld contrary to popular belief," said Killian.
Seth clenched his fist to calm down his emotions. "Agramon is a busy man. He has been helping the devil in the underworld. He like many others is surprised you did not bring up wanting to marry a human with him or the devil. He does not approve of her and would like for her to be killed."
’Well that is bad news,’ Amelia thought. Sending her back home was not even an option.
Beside her, Killian started to laugh because of Agramon’s command. The man had grown more delusional for thinking he would kill Amelia. "He has grown stupid in my absence. I urge you not to disrupt the peace in my castle. I did not beg any of you to come up into this world and obey me. If you do not like my selection for the queen, return to the underworld or find another castle to rule."
"You are aware that the other gates leading into the underworld are already occupied by other demons-"
"Then go back down to the underworld," Killian gave the obvious answer. They were forcing themselves to stay here in the castle he had taken over because Agramon wished to snatch it from him. "This is a battle your master will never win so leave or get used to the new queen. Should I be interrupted by you delivering a message, I will have your head and drop your body into the underworld for the hellhounds to feast on."
"Your fascination with humans will one day ruin you," Seth warned Killian. Humans were only good for their souls and manipulated to make them do evil. A high-level demon like Killian was making a fool of himself because he liked being around humans to watch them and now he was going to marry one. Why on earth was the devil still keeping Killian in charge of this castle? Killian was no true king.
Killian did not care about Seth’s words. "If it will ruin me, you should stop worrying and look forward to that day. Your master is looking forward to my death so why are you giving me warnings?" He asked.
"I was only offering advice. Do not listen to my words and find yourself dead. I will tell Agramon your response," Seth said before disappearing into thin air.
"That was interesting," Amelia muttered. She found it to be a waste of time. She didn’t know Killian as well as these people but she could put two and two together to not be so foolish as to think he would just cancel their marriage and kill her because someone wanted it to happen.
"Is the start of a headache. The others are arriving. I will take you to be reunited with your friends. I will have to leave your side once you are with them. Seth is not the only person I have to meet with and I cannot bring you along. It might get bloody."
"I don’t mind. Helping Gina to calm down will be a lot of work so I need to start now with Cyrus’s help. I need to warm up in case she tries to run and I must chase her," Amelia jumped to stretch her body to prepare to chase after Gina.
Killian chuckled as he pulled Amelia close and vanished to the gates with her.
Amelia felt her heart skip a beat from the sudden teleporting to another spot. Would it will him to give her a heads up before did this? Her head felt dizzy each time he did it and she was certain he would mess up some part of her body by doing this.
Killian had brought them to the gates just in time before Gina opened the door of the carriage she had ridden in with Alastor.
Gina appeared grumpy like something had happened between her and Alastor during their journey. The frown on Alastor’s face as he exited the carriage right behind Gina confirmed that they two were most likely bickering on their way up the mountain.
If Alastor could have it his own way, he would have ignored Killian’s request to guard the young woman and flown up the castle to get away from her. Never before did he have so many pointless arguments with someone like this. He had been tempted to throw her out the carriage and call it an accident.
"Amelia!" Gina exclaimed, excited to see the princess. She never wanted to be alone with Alastor ever again. A little longer and she would have squeezed the man like a cloth she had to hang out on a line after washing it. "How are you up the mountain already? What kind of horse was it that the king used and how didn’t you freeze on your way up here? Wait, it is surprisingly warm," she realized.
"Come with me," Amelia walked up to Gina and hook their arms. "I have a lot to tell you but you must promise not to freak out okay? Cyrus will be there to show you that you must not be afraid."
