The Sweetest Temptation -
Chapter 100: Perfect Plan
Chapter 100: Perfect Plan
Beatrix was enjoying a peaceful moment in the hospital garden when she heard someone calling her name. She turned to see Alina walking towards her, a determined look on her face.
The bodyguards blocked her path when she was a few steps away from Beatrix.
"Let her go. I know her." Beatrix said to the bodyguards.
"Hi, Beatrix," Alina said as she approached. "Do you remember me? We met at the club a few weeks ago."
"Of course," Beatrix replied, smiling at the other woman. "It’s nice to see you again. How have you been?"
"I’ve been better," Alina said, sighing.
"What about you? Where are you at the hospital?"
"My fiancé is in a coma, and I’ve been spending every minute at the hospital with him. It’s been tough."
"I’m so sorry," Alina said, reaching out to pat Beatrix’s hand. "Is there anything I can do to help?"
Alina shook her head. "I don’t think so. I just have to hope and pray that he’ll wake up soon."
"Well, if you ever need someone to talk to, I’m here for you," Alina said, giving Beatrix a sympathetic smile.
"It can be really hard to deal with something like this on your own. Sometimes it helps to have someone to vent to."
"Thanks, Alina," Beatrix said, returning the smile.
"So what about you? What are you doing here? Are you sick?"
Alina’s face morphed into sadness, "No my boyfriend-I mean my ex. The one I was telling you about the other day?"
Beatrix nodded,"Yeah I remember. Something happened to him?"
A tear slipped from her eyes and she wiped it away.
"Well my dad attacked him. He was hurt pretty bad and I don’t know what to do. What if I lose him?"
Desperate tears spilled down her cheeks and with a defeated heart, she put her face in her hands and wept.
Beatrix’s eyes widened and she pulled Alina in her arms, hugging her tightly.
She knew exactly how Alina was feeling.
She patted her back gently, "Shss.....it’s okay. He will be fine."
Someone cleared their throat and Beatrix pulled away from Alina.
She turned and saw Ava staring at her with who the fuck is she look.
Alina sniffled and wiped the tears from her eyes.
"Ava this is Alina. We met at the club last time in the washroom."
Ava nodded, "I see."
Alina forced out a smile, "Sorry I didn’t mean to cry. I’m just sad and I have no friends to vent to."
Beatrix waved her hand at Alina.
"Don’t worry about it. I’m glad to help."
"Well it was nice to meet you again, Beatrix. I have to go. I was going to buy medicine when I saw you and decided to say hi."
Beatrix smiled, "Well I’m glad you did. You have my number if you need anything, let me know."
Alina stared at Beatrix for a while before she nodded.
"Alright. Nice to meet you Ava."
Ava glared at her before she forced out a smile.
"Likewise."
Once Alina left Ava turned to Beatrix with a frown on her face.
"What?" Beatrix asked.
"I don’t know but that woman gives me bad vibes. Becareful Beatrix. You should know how dangerous it is to associate with strangers, especially when you are Damien’s fiancé."
"Hmmm....I know but Alina is really nice. I don’t think she is any threat." Beatrix said.
"Well I hope you’re right. "
****************
Alina gulped down the wine in her glass as she sat in her room, lost in thought.
She has been thinking a lot about Beatrix lately, and has come to the realization that she was starting to like the girl.
This was a new and confusing feeling for Alina, as she has never had any friends before. She has always been isolated and alone, she knew she was supposed to hate Beatrix for taking Damien away from her.
But despite all of this, Alina couldn’t help but feel drawn to Beatrix. She saw how well the girl treated her, and how much she cared about her.
No one in her entire life had treated her like that. Her mother had died when she was a kid after taking an overdose. Ever since then Nannies had raised her and it had been hell.
So seeing how for the first time someone was worried about her,Alina couldn’t help but soften towards Beatrix, even though she knew she was supposed to hate her.
As she sat and thought about all of this, Alina felt a mix of emotions – confusion, uncertainty, and a glimmer of hope that maybe, just maybe, she could have a friend in Beatrix.
In addition to these conflicting emotions, Alina was also struggling with her obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). She was finding it difficult to focus on anything else, as her mind kept returning to thoughts of Beatrix.
She was starting to become obsessed with the young woman, and it was causing her a lot of stress and anxiety.
Despite her best efforts, Alina couldn’t seem to shake these thoughts, and she was not sure what to do about it.
As she grappled with these complex and confusing feelings, she made up her mind, well since Damien wasn’t available now she will play with Beatrix to pass time.
She has always wanted a friend and if Beatrix was offering to be her friend she didn’t mind.
After all, keep your friends close but your enemies closer.
Alina’s lips curled up into a mischievous smile. Only Xavier and Damien knew her face so she had to play smart not to run into Xavier or else she would be in some deep shit.
The bastard had been trailing her before the blast happened. Now he was pretty preoccupied with the syndicate.
Her father was attacking them on the low. Stealing their tanks, setting some of their business on fire and even though they hadn’t attacked back yet she was going to sit back and let them ruin her father for her and while the war was happening she would be recruiting her father’s trusted men while she plan to take over the Russian mafia.
A perfect plan.
