The SSS Beast King: Rebirth of the Legendary Predator -
Chapter 39: Boundless
Chapter 39: Boundless
[Son Of The Univers]- The one born alongside the world, chosen by the creator itself, he is said to come back to our world to enforce justice. No form of resistance will be tolerated.
This passive makes you immune to both fate and gravitational attacks.
Immune to fate? But how would that even work? Right now, im a being inside the boundaries of the world, which are controlled by fate itself. So, if I’m immune to its power, does that mean I cross these limits and go outside the normal world? Or is it that im not immune to fate itself, but anything that controls it?
Even without knowing its full potential, it’s unmistakable that it isn’t just a normal passive, anything related to fate is very uncommon. Meanwhile, even if I don’t get to experience how it is to be in control of the world, I can settle with negating it.
[Mad Bishop]- There once lived a bishop who served their life to the enemy, thinking he could threaten the gods into giving him a godly power. It was a crazy plan, yet it had worked. But this blessing would turn out to kill him from the inside. Your thought speed is extraordinary, you can process and think faster, and whenever you’re deep in thought, the world feels like it has slowed down.
Was this... perhaps the match of my life? This was perfect! With this, I could try to figure out a way to win in the worst situation. I was happier with this passive than the other. As I said before, fate skills or passives were rare, meaning the chance of me actually using it was really slim. In my eyes, a passive that I can use whenever I want is way better than one that only works when specific conditions are met.
With these new skills added, how did my profile look?

I grinned, seeing how things were finally falling into place. Also, did I lose weight? And how I can’t say I’ve been eating all that much, but I still lost when I should have gained weight.
And I have noticed the new message, I just haven’t been paying that much attention to it since I already knew about its meaning. It’s not that special, it just counts how many scenarios you have completed. Pretty useless, in my opinion.
’Speaking of scenarios.’ It was time for me to finally take part in one. I was already falling behind time with this whole giant situation. And im sure Dusk was already inside one, I couldn’t let him get ahead.
I looked into the horizon, mountains rich with vegetation pocking the sky with their pointy tips, and rivers springing from inside their shallow bodies full of expensive minerals, they hydrated the little animals living inside this place.
Animals have and still exist in The Core, part of many memories they are brought here along with the recollections themselves. Though, they are more like a copy than the real thing. But they still hold a soul inside, even if it’s just another copy of another.
I noticed many animals while walking through the horizon. Some with tiny bodies but great minds are able to stay away from bigger threads. Some rush antlers first whenever they see something that could cause them harm. And even some, who sadly fell pray to the food chain.
It was weird seeing a working ecosystem again in The Core. Back in my time, there weren’t any, the animals just wandered around instead of all staying in one place. By my guess, this was humanities doing...
A thought came to my mind, with all these advances humanity was making in The Core, they weren’t perhaps thinking about trying to create the condition for humans to live inside here, that was nuts. But at the same time, I could see them doing it, and you know what else I see. Their extinction.
I’m not sure who took my role after my death, but im sure he isn’t going to sit around while his territory is being stolen from him. If it was me, I would have already stopped all plans, but I guess he just has another plan in store.
I had realized a crucial flaw in my new passive, all this time, I was talking to myself. I have been actively using it, so I had hardly made any progress. This meant I couldn’t travel while trying to figure out a plan for my next scenario.
I had to shut my brain off, emptying my head of all my questions, but it seemed impossible, they continued to flow out endlessly. The next second, I found myself roaming The Core free of any thoughts, like a mindless beast. I tried not to pay attention, trying to keep this state. But it was too hard, so I soon broke out.
I had repeated this progress hundreds of times, it wasn’t in my nature to not overcomplicate things, so even thinking of my plan made my passive activate. It was annoying, but I got through it.
But I had made it, a giant ball of light floated in the middle of the forest, around it rings with weird text written on them orbited around the ball. I looked at the text, normally no contractor would be able to decipher what the scripture spelled, but I was a beast, a being that had learned to even speak in this language.
’Greed...’ I put my hand on the ball of light, my hand instantly being devoured by the blinding gaze of the orb.
[Would you like to participate in this scenario? Capacity 199/200]
Only one spot left? Looks like luck was on my side, or perhaps... this was the effect of my passive neglecting fate? Was this scenario went to be full by the time I arrived, making me look for another, and falling prey to a beast?
Had I just escaped death by the skin of my teeth?
