Chapter 95: Demon Wolves Impostors
Chapter 95: Demon Wolves Impostors
What I saw were no wolves. No. They were plain demonic monsters—red furred.
One had a single, slightly jagged golden horn piercing from their temple, like a unicorn.
Another had two horns, twisted and bent, almost like a bull’s—except these were facing straight forward, making it look like it was built for destruction.
And the third—
He was a dragon disguised as a wolf. He had four golden horns stretching backwards—two on his head and two on his jawline—like something you’d expect to see from an ancient dragon.
And they were massive. Absolutely massive. These beasts were half my full size as a Fenrir, making them about 15 feet tall.
Not like the Specter wolves, who were just several times bigger than regular wolves. These folks were pure intimidation, personified.
It was kind of fascinating, honestly. I’d never gotten Demon Wolves before.
Platform had really upped her game, hadn’t she?
I had granted them names yesterday—so I wouldn’t just be pointing around awkwardly and saying "you, there" or something.
The first of them came forth. Her voice was strong, firm, and incredibly self-assured.
"I was named Lucia by the Lord," she began. "It’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance."
The Mad Trio were still seething.
And I could see why.
Lucia was a beauty.
A beautiful woman... who just happened to have muscles like a warrior from a medieval battle.
Her figure was stunning, but almost overpowered by the pure power of her build.
She wore a sleek, brown dress—one that screamed archaic elegance, but with a tattered black cape-thing draped over her shoulders like it was made for the battlefield.
Her stomach was exposed, showing off a well-built torso that made me wonder why a woman could be more manly than me.
This will give me sleepless nights.
Lucia was the two-horned beast posing to be a wolf. Her short, deep blue hair was tied neatly at the back, and she wasn’t smiling or acting energetic like Jorō over there.
But anyway—
"Welcome to our eccentric group of eccentrics," I greeted her.
She simply bowed, then took her place beside the others.
I moved on to the next.
A young, handsome man emerged—the unicorn-horned beast posing to be a wolf.
He walked with grace, his movements exuding elegance and confidence. It was almost like he’d been born with a silver spoon in his mouth.
"I have been granted the name Witz," he said, voice smooth and calm. "I look forward to working with you all."
With that, he stepped back, his posture still carrying that air of superiority.
Now, I couldn’t help but wonder: why was the demonic trio so melancholic?
Did Platform threaten them? It seemed like something Platform would definitely do.
And Witz?
Well, I had to admit it—he was dressed like he’d just stepped out of a royal court.
He wore a deep red royal robe that made him look more like the king than anything else, with dark pants beneath and footwear that I definitely plan to thieve in the near future.
Honestly, he looked like the leader of the group, and I was just his secretary.
He carried himself with that confident intelligence, making it clear he had wisdom on his side.
So, of course, I named him Witz. As in, wisdom, or wise.
This naming thing was honestly fun!
I really enjoyed myself yesterday.
But except I’m stuck naming 150,000 orcs for three days, I’m good with naming anyone!
Witz wasn’t weak, though.
He wasn’t the strongest of the bunch, but he still had power. He was just the weakest of the Demonic trio, which made him stand out in his own way.
Levi, of course, looked at him like a scout searching for a new idol—there was definitely respect in those eyes.
Alicia and Tamayō, though? They weren’t reacting much.
Then came the last of the Demonic trio posing to be a wolf.
"Uh..." The lanky figure paused, almost exhausted. "I’m very... happy. No, I mean, it’s my pleasure. Yes, it’s my pleasure to meet all of you guys. I mean, you friends—Wait, are we friends?"
"Just tell them your name," Witz whispered, almost like he was trying to keep the guy from further spiraling into awkwardness.
The lanky man sighed. "I was given the name Lygari by the boss over there." He motioned toward me, his posture drooping. "Just to let you know, I’m not as competent as my folks, but I can at least do the dishes or stay on night duties or something. Anyway, nice to meet’cha."
Lygari was... uh, kind of awkward, dressed in a mundane shirt and pants with mundane brown colors. His yellowish-green hair and hair style was casual, and his whole demeanor yelped "I’m just here to survive."
I was tempted to call him "Mundane man."
But I went with Lygari... Because this guy’s demeanor is just that—deceiving.
Look past his almost wretched state, and you’ll see an abyss that could swallow a colossal Behemoth.
Lygari was actually one of the strongest subordinates I have gained so far. Second only to Jorō.
He was even stronger than Trigger. On par with Tamayō.
He was the most melancholic of the trio, with mean dead eyes.
I plan to have a talk with them later.
Though, if he mingles with us enough, I’m sure he’ll either joined the straight-man group—which only I am part of—or join the deranged group, which is the entirety of Coastelle’s residents.
Behind Jorō stood the elite specter wolves.
They weren’t really part of Mumoko no kiba, which was interesting.
Instead, they seemed to belong to a different, more cryptic faction— {Wolf Spiders.} Whatever that meant.
The most intriguing part? They appeared to be subordinates to Jorō, which struck me as odd. I’d never seen such a dynamic before.
Tamayo had no wolves under her.
The first to step forward was a middle-aged man with long, deep brown hair tied neatly behind his back.
His eyes were sharp, calculating, but also seemed to have seen too much, like a man who’d been caught in the web of time itself.
I called him—
