Chapter 112 - 111

Chapter 112: Chapter 111

Chapter 111

A few days passed. Melisca was having a hard time using her laptop since there were cameras everywhere. They might figure out what she was doing on it. She always chose the closest to the wall so no one could peek behind her. But then it still wasn’t easy for the CCTV cameras to capture wide angles.

Then, Carmen suggested something that she wanted to smack her head for not thinking about it before. She can hide under her covers. People behind the cameras would understand to make her work much more discreet to any prying eyes. Even from the organization.

But later on, Josh told her that she could work in the office or in the room she had to transfer. She refused both. Not wanting to be in close proximity with any of the trainers. She was still attending trainings either in the morning or the afternoon. She had a choice of which session she’d join.

She knew that her laptop was being monitored once she connected to their network. She had no other connection to get to. But then, thanks to her computer skills, she managed to be discreet and worked incognito without being tracked. But she also gave them something so they wouldn’t suspect her of using her laptop yet, so they couldn’t see what she was browsing.

She noticed too that someone tried to open her laptop. She already expected it, so she put on layers of security that obviously they didn’t get through.

Right now, she was hiding under her covers. She’d attend the training in the afternoon. She was on her stomach. Her eyes were focused on the screen. She was trying to get past the security system carefully. To infiltrate the CCTV cameras. She would find all their facilities then and see what’s inside.

Her heart was thudding loudly as she typed codes to get through their firewall undetected. It was a bit complicated. They had competent cybersecurity. And that made her lips quirk up to the sides. It’s a welcome challenge.

She sat up, leaned her back against the headboard, and crossed her legs. She propped her laptop on her thighs as she pulled the blanket to properly cover her under. The room was in cold temperature, though the air-con was set to low degree.

She intertwined her fingers and stretched them out as she bent her neck from side to side. Then she wiggled her hands, getting ready to type faster and for her brain to be more in the zone of being a hacker. Then she started.

The tap-tap-tapping sounds of the keyboard were the only thing she could hear in the room. It seemed to echo in her mind. Her eyes were focused on the screen full of numbers and codes she had to use to infiltrate the system.

She woke up late that morning, and she asked Carmen to tell Lorna that she’d plan to attend the training in the afternoon. She had her breakfast at 8:00 am, when everyone was almost gone and some personnel were dining in. So, she returned to the dorm at almost 9:00 and then started on her laptop. She planned to take a shower before going for lunch.

After almost an hour, she finally broke through and could see the different monitors on the screen. Her face brightened, and she wanted to jump out for a happy dance, but that would look stupid and suspicious.

She checked on them one by one. She first opened the Supernatural Room footage. There was no one in the hallway. Then she tapped one on each cell. Everyone was staying still. The siren in her aquarium, the elf sleeping on his bed, also the vampires in their own cells, and the other werewolves. But she noticed two people were missing. Nesa, the werewolf who asked for her help, and Kreena, the child witch.

She doesn’t want to think of the worst, but she couldn’t stop her heartbeat thudding nervously. Her excitement died instantly. She quickly scanned through other footage of the facilities. There were hundreds of videos. But she didn’t give up on searching for the one she wanted to see.

Then after a few more minutes. She finally spotted them in the lab room. Nesa was obviously sedated, strapped on the bed with a stirrup. She was leaning back down with her eyes gazing at the ceiling, blinking weakly in a daze. She was wearing a hospital gown. A doctor and a nurse at the side.

Nesa’s head moved so slowly from side to side. A tear escaped from the corner of her eye. The doctor was holding a speculum and getting ready between Nesa’s legs as he pulled up the gown.

Melisca was just ever so thankful that the camera wouldn’t be able to catch what the doctor was doing exactly. Her eyes were glued to the screen. But her body hardened for what she was witnessing. She damn well had the idea of what they were doing to Nesa. It was from one of the cases that the police requested her assistance in raiding and tracing human traffickers, and she got the details of what those criminals do with the victims, and she’d done further research on it for extra knowledge.

The organization wanted Nesa to be pregnant. They were inserting sperm into her uterus with a catheter. She sucked in a sharp breath. Her fists were clenching and unclenching below the keyboard. It couldn’t be the worst that they’ve done. She just knew it. But it was rape all the same. And something in her mind tells her that they did try to do it the natural way somehow. But it didn’t work. Pigs. They’re all pigs!

She knew the damn feeling as she was also a victim of attempted rape just a week when her dad died. It was one of the most terrible things that could happen to anyone. And the shameful part of that was they were supernatural, yet they were powerless. The organization stripped Nesa off her proud being.

And she still had one more person to find. She zoomed out the footage of Nesa and she immediately saw Kreena’s body on another screen. She pressed on it to be on full display on her monitor. And this one broke her heart more in an instant.
