The Reaper's Wicked Obsession -
Chapter 51: Kiss Of Death
Chapter 51: Kiss Of Death
Was this how she would die? With her monster watching it happen?
The irony was almost poetic—too perfect, a piece to a complete puzzle.
Isadora tried to swim to the surface, but she couldn’t. There was something strange about this water—no matter how hard she struggled, it kept pulling her deeper, the top became more distant to reach.
Realizing it was useless to fight against the pressure, she let it consume her, her lips parting as bubbles slipped free.
Her long blonde hair fanned out around her as her body floated weightlessly. All the negative feelings were washing away.
The water was cold, yet oddly comforting. A calming sensation that soothed her insides.
This wasn’t like the alarming Abyss water, that was foul and terrifying. This was beautiful—blue, calm and silent.
Was this how it felt when Daudi came to claim your soul? She had hoped for something far worse, painful.
Isadora closed her eyes. A soft humming filled the water as she descended into the depths. It called to her—gentle and melodic.
But a sound disrupted her descent to the god of death, her eyes flickering open at that moment and found Kraven swimming toward her.
’You won’t even let me die in peace,’ she thought. ’Is there an end to your cruelness? I hate you... Kraven.’
’I loathe you since the moment I laid my eyes on you.’
He grabbed her arm and pulled her close, their eyes locking as time slowed between them. Then, he sealed their lips in a kiss.
The touch of his rough lips against hers felt as hollow and lifeless as his soul.
But a spark ignited, releasing through her body like a jolt of electricity, her body humming as the coldness of the depths vanished.
Her mouth parted in shock, and Kraven seized the opportunity to take control, deepening the kiss and claiming her completely, stealing her breath away.

Kraven emerged from the water with an unconscious Isadora in his arms, he set her down on the grass.
She suddenly gasped for breath and coughed out water, turning to her side to spill the rest out.
She felt his touch as he pulled some strand of her wet hair sticking to her face, her weak eyes turned to him.
"Now you know... even when death comes, Daudi won’t claim your soul," he said. "Because your soul is mine and not even a god can take it"
"Is that why you tried to drown me? Just to prove your point?"
He chuckled. "And show you can’t survive without me, Isadora."
She swiftly pulled her dagger from her holster and pressed it against his throat, the fear gone and replaced with raw hatred. The urge to push the blade closer was overwhelming.
The thought of his words were sickening the same way it scared her. He meant to let her drown to her death and it seemed as if at the last minute he changed his mind.
"When the time comes, I’ll bury my blade deep in your chest," she promised.
But the response she got was not what she expected, for whatever sick reason it was extreme satisfaction in his eyes.
"I pray that time comes, darling," he pulled away from her. "But before you get to that, how about you win the Hunt and grunt at your success instead?"
A frown found her features as she sat up and stared at him with a confused expression. "What do you mean?"
"I may or may not have made a wager..." he confessed. "...with your life"
"You made a wager?" she forced herself to her feet, ignoring the biting cold and glaring at the insane Fae. "My fate is not a game dice!"
A wicked smirk curled on Kraven’s lips as he reveled in the look in her eyes. It was far more satisfying than feeding off her tears. Her anger was hot, and he found it incredibly welcoming.
"Last I remember, you’re mine and I can choose what to do with you as I pleased," he shrugged. "I won that game didn’t I?"
"Just wait until I get an audience with Lord Raven!"
He paused and blinked at her outburst. "And what is that supposed to mean?"
She smirked and crossed her arms, a smug look on her face. She couldn’t wait to throw the words at him and watch him eat it.
"No one knows what I am capable of... I’m a rare skin weaver and I’m certain Lord Raven would be more please to bargain with me."
He cackled, more amused than ever, loving where this was going. "And what if I told you Lord Raven isn’t too pleased with your abilities?"
She opened her mouth but no words were formed. How come she never thought of that? But wait!
"How would you know what Lord Raven wants?"
He rubbed his chin and gave a smug look. "Because I’m his right hand man"
A cold chill ran through her.
In a heartbeat, Kraven closed the distance between them. She lifted her gaze just to maintain eye contact with him but the effort made her neck ache. He was built like a mountain, and towering over her petite form.
"So what other plans did you have in mind, love?"
"I-I will think of something," she grumbled. It doesn’t matter what he said, she would find a way to escape this hell. What did she have to lose?
He clicked his tongue as he took hold of her chin, a mocking smirk playing on his lips, as if to insult her foolish plan.
"Poor Isadora," he pressed his thumb against her swollen lip—evidence of his kiss and bite.
The moment he touched that sensitive spot her mind travelled to the memory. A hot blush found her cheeks.
He had kissed her! Not just a touch between their lips but a clear domination that got her completely breathless.
"What is wrong, love?" he asked amused. "Remember something?" he added, eyeing her parted lips, red, plump and... inviting.
Gathering her thoughts, she yanked herself away from his hold and created as much space as possible. She hated the reaction her body had. ’It must be the cold’ she thought.
"I should get back, Rav would be worried," she said, turning to leave. But paused when her eyes took in her surroundings. Where was the way out?
The area was vast and sealed off, with grasses covering the ground in place of rocks. An opening at the top revealed the sunset, too high to reach or climb.
"Where am I?" she demanded, facing her kidnapper.
All traces of amusement were gone, one of the odd things about him and seemed to put her on alert each time it happened. Instinctively, she took a step back.
"You’re not going anywhere Isadora, not until I say so."
