Chapter 307: Chapter 307 – I Feel Nauseous

"Are you not going to plead for her?"

Sabrina understood what Robin’s question implied, but she couldn’t bring herself to feel guilty for not being the person he thought she was.

Curiosity got the better of her, and she asked him, "Do you want me to let her go?"

Robin pursed his lips, deep in thought. The question, coupled with its serious undertone, left him a bit confused. He couldn’t tell if it was meant rhetorically or not.

After some thought,

"I realized that you’ve always been too kind. I was afraid that you might forgive her," Robin explained, and Sabrina finally understood.

This was an essential part of their journey towards understanding each other better.

Sabrina had only known him as the monster before, but now she was discovering different sides of him that made her fall in love with him all over again, like a teenager.

Every day, they would share a few kisses, but Robin always held back from taking things further.

He feared that since their relationship had changed, their intimacy should also be different. If he treated her the same way as before, she might not even want to marry him again.

He was still discreetly acquiring knowledge on how to satisfy a woman and provide her with the necessary fulfillment to keep her coming back for more.

Robin realized that there were many things he didn’t know, and he wondered why all these women still desired him.

In his entire life, he had never cared about pleasing a woman, but now, he was deeply concerned about how this amazing woman would feel if she gave him another chance.

"I have forgiven her, and if it were just me, I wouldn’t mind her having her freedom. But every day, when she, Mara, Martin... I don’t know, I just feel scared that they might harm our children."

Robin nodded in agreement, acknowledging that the future and safety of their unborn children were the driving force behind her determination to eliminate her enemies once and for all.

However, Robin knew that whether they were alive or dead, he would never allow any harm to come near his family, which included Sabrina and their unborn children.

For most business trips outside of New York City, he allowed his CEOs to attend on his behalf, as he had no plans to travel anytime soon.

This was especially true now that Sabrina’s enemies were under her control.

"That would never happen. I wouldn’t give them that chance, okay?" he reassured Sabrina, his hands resting lovingly on hers. Sabrina believed him and nodded in agreement.

"Okay, but you know what? Let’s visit them first. Seeing grandma might make me forgive them," Sabrina suggested.

Robin understood her reasoning, as Ceceilia always brought happiness to Sabrina’s life.

"Your wish is my command," Robin smiled, though he remained skeptical about whether Sabrina would truly be able to forgive her enemies, especially if the general was involved.

Sabrina immediately called Matilda, who answered on the first ring.

"Brina, do you need any help?" Matilda asked, sounding concerned.

They had spoken a few times since Sabrina had taken over taking care of Robin.

"Are you already at school?" Sabrina asked, not wanting to interrupt her education.

However, Matilda was thrilled to hear from Sabrina. She had wanted to reach out to her earlier, but she was afraid that Sabrina might be busy taking care of Robin and didn’t want to disturb her at home.

Now that she called, Matilda felt they could make plans to meet.

"I’m on my way, but I wanted to see you," Matilda replied.

Sabrina was surprised and curious. However, she felt that the news she had would be more important to Matilda than whatever reason she wanted to see Sabrina.

"Well, I was hoping we could go visit Mara, Martin, Zayla, and her dad," Sabrina suggested.

Matilda was indeed excited, instantly hitting the brakes to slow down as she exclaimed,

"Damn, please send me the location. I’m making a U-turn right now."

She was eager to witness this event, but she had thought it would happen after Robin had fully recovered. Now that it was happening sooner, she wasn’t willing to miss it for anything in the world.

Sabrina smiled, ended the call, and handed the phone to Robin.

"She wants directions," she said to Robin.

Matilda was tougher than Sabrina, mainly because her father was the general. Although he had no issue with Matilda’s presence, he still worried about Sabrina.

After sending the directions to Matilda, they headed towards the venue. On the way, Robin made a call to Daniel to join them.

By the time they arrived, it hadn’t even been two minutes when Matilda showed up with Devin, and Daniel arrived a minute later.

Daniel felt disappointed upon seeing Robin and Devin with their partners, instantly feeling left out.

"I should have brought my girl. You guys are making me feel lonely," he expressed.

Lizzy had been returned to the mansion the day after the incident, having spent only one night with Daniel.

Daniel missed her dearly and was already eager to set a wedding date.

However, Lizzy was hesitant and wanted to discuss it with Sabrina first. There was a hint of jealousy in his words as Devin responded,

"Your girl is currently working hard and wouldn’t want to be here. She’s a bit fragile." He paused and glanced at Sabrina, feeling uncomfortable as he asked Robin, "And Robin, why did you bring her here in her condition?"

"I insisted on coming," Sabrina said before Robin had the chance to respond. She then asked, "Which place is this?"

"It’s coded, my queen. Only the general knows what they call it," Robin said, wrapping his arms around her to provide warmth.

As they entered the dark room, the smell of blood wafted through the air, causing Sabrina to feel nauseous.

"Are you sure you want to be here?" Robin asked, turning on the light. They both beheld the sight of the two people in the room.

He noticed the blood draining from Sabrina’s face and became instantly disturbed.

Robin had arranged for both Mara and Martin to be brought to the same room, but the mere sight of them made Sabrina’s stomach churn.

"I think I’m going to puke."
