Chapter 306: Chapter 306 – Aren’t you going to plead for her?

"I was referring to what the doctor suggested," Robin said, hoping to avoid upsetting her.

However, he knew that there was little he could do in his current situation.

All he wanted was the reassurance that she still belonged to him. Although he usually preferred to take things slow, he found it difficult to resist the temptation whenever they were together.

Unfortunately, he couldn’t bring himself to stay away from her either.

To his surprise, Sabrina didn’t seem offended, which he attributed to his current condition.

Perhaps she was being lenient because he had taken a bullet for her. Nevertheless, she had also saved his life before, so it should even out.

"Do you mean sex?" Sabrina asked directly.

Although sex had meant nothing to Robin in the past, things felt different now.

This Sabrina was different from the one he had married. It wasn’t that she had changed; he had simply never taken the time to truly know her.

They had never even engaged in normal conversations. He would give instructions, and she would obey.

But now that he had decided to get to know her, he found himself falling deeper and deeper in love with her, and he was afraid of doing anything to ruin it.

Even if she didn’t give in, what they had was still beautiful, and he would cherish it forever.

"Don’t worry. The timing isn’t right."

Disappointment flickered in Sabrina’s eyes, but it vanished with a blink.

It was undeniable that Robin had changed significantly, but she was surprised that he was hesitant to make his request, considering she had the perfect solution for him.

"I understand. I’ll find something more comfortable to wear," Sabrina said, standing up and turning her back to him as she removed her dress.

Robin swallowed hard. Even if he mustered the courage to ask and she granted him the opportunity, he knew he wouldn’t be able to satisfy her as he had planned, given his current condition.

He watched as she walked into the closet, wearing only her panties, but returned fully clothed, albeit with a shorter dress that partially concealed her bump.

"Aria should be here soon with your laptop. I’ll go check the Garden," Sabrina informed him.

Robin frowned slightly, not wanting her to leave his sight. His fears of losing her were driving him to the brink of madness.

"I’ll come with you," he insisted.

"Okay, but let me grab your painkillers first," Sabrina agreed. She hadn’t invited him earlier because she didn’t think he had a strong affinity for the garden, but since he insisted, she couldn’t turn him away.

They strolled through the garden together, with Sabrina calling the gardener to plant more flowers.

Robin observed the abundance of flowers but remained silent throughout.

He wasn’t particularly fond of flowers, but he acknowledged that they enhanced the beauty of the villa.

Later, Aria and Sabrina’s secretary arrived, and the couple began working from home for the next few days.

Sabrina never grew tired of taking care of Robin, and they continued to create cherished memories together, leaving behind their troubled past.

However, Robin never brought up the subject again, as he had decided to stick to his original plan.

On the fifth day, he started feeling better, but since it was already Friday, he decided to pay a visit to his grandmother, whom he hadn’t seen in a while, remembering that it was during one of this visits that he discovered the truth.

"After breakfast, do you think we should visit grandma soon?" Robin asked Sabrina.

They hadn’t left the house in the past few days, which was the longest they had ever spent together without venturing outside.

Surprisingly, Robin found their time together to be the most fulfilling period of his life, despite his previous eagerness to go out.

I was considering it, but I felt that you weren’t well enough," Sabrina said.

During their recent review two days ago, the plaster was removed and Robin was able to take a normal bath.

He no longer relied on painkillers since the pain had become minimal.

"I think I can handle that, but tomorrow I will meet with Zayla and my lawyers. I want to know if she and her father are prepared to face trial."

Upon hearing about Zayla, Sabrina frowned slightly. She had initially wanted to stay out of it, but after experiencing what she went through with Mara and Martin, that was no longer the case.

She believed that seeing them at their lowest point would confirm that the tables had turned and she had emerged victorious.

"Can I accompany you?" she asked.

Robin was surprised but didn’t refuse. After all, it was all about her.

"Of course, and after that, we can visit the place where Mara and Martin were also held. I think you can arrange for Matilda to come with you since she also wanted to see them."

Sabrina nodded in agreement.

"That’s great, but are Mara and Martin also facing trial?" she asked.

Robin shook his head and explained,

"No. They are too cunning and still have a lot of money. If I allow that, I wouldn’t be surprised if they managed to escape. The only reason I’m allowing Zayla and her father to face trial is because I made her case public due to all the public embarrassment she caused you."

Sabrina nodded in appreciation for his thoughtfulness as he continued,

"Furthermore, netizens have witnessed everything and are eagerly awaiting the outcome."

"I understand. Otherwise, we could potentially get into legal trouble," Sabrina agreed.

She was also relieved that the public was aware of the situation, as she had publicly introduced Martin as her fiancé and announced her separation from Robin.

After exposing Zayla publicly, no one would question or suspect anything if they were seen together in public.

"Exactly, but once the verdict is delivered, I will wait for some time to pass before arranging for her elimination. It will be made to appear as if she died in prison."

"Okay," Sabrina nodded and replied. Robin was shocked and asked her,

"You’re not going to plead for her
