Chapter 274: Chapter 274: Peace-3

He asked,

"Hey! Did you see it? That parasite named Lamashtu used talismans! How is it possible? Shouldn’t parasites and humans be on different sides?"

Ren Fulin fell in deep thought. Indeed it was very strange...how could the parasite have talismans?

"Maybe he has looted it from somewhere?"

"Maybe...we should report everything to the general. By everything I mean..." Feng Boyu paused and looked at Gu Jin, "Everything."

The brown-eyed guy hurriedly ran up to Gu Jin and squatted by Gu Jin’s side.

Si Kai looked at the brown-eyed guy with a warm look in his eyes and said,

"Thank you for your help."

"No need to mention it. How is she now?" He asked.

Si Kai looked at Gu Jin worriedly,

"Not god. The life force she had sucked was dangerous to her body. She knew it and yet she took the risk."

Gu Jin knew the easiest way to defeat Lamashtu was to suck away his life force. However, doing so would adversely affect her.

After knowing the ins and outs of the matter, she came to know that the skeleton warrior knew about her transformation through space.

Space was the one who was telling the skeleton warriors about what was happening with Gu Jin and what it should do.

And why did the space refuse to contact Si Kai instead of Skelly?

Well according to space only dead people keep quiet. Especially if the dead people are bound to you.

After chatting with the space, Gu Jin came to know that once she finished her transformation her powers would be doubled.

And if she was lucky enough she could break through to the intermediate rank of the Necromancy element, her other elements might benefit from it too!

Gu Jin felt as if there was nothing to lose, so she thought of giving it a shot.

The soldiers, Ren Fulin and Feng Boyu soon received a command from General Gu to return, so one by one they left.

However, before leaving, they didn’t forget to ask for Si Kai’s and Gu Jin’s numbers.

Once they left, Si Kai treated his wounds and sat on one side.

After 15 minutes, the Skelly suddenly said,

"Back out.

The three tired light mages hurriedly backed away.

Before anyone could understand Gu Jin’s body started to twitch.

Si Kai rushed to her side, his face painted with concern, while the three light mages backed away instinctively.

The air around her seemed to hum with power, and her red eyes glowed brighter than ever, filled with an unsettling energy.

Her presence alone made the light mages step back in fear. She felt... different.

Gone was the frail, exhausted girl from a few moments ago.

Now, standing before them was something far more powerful, something far more terrifying. A dark queen—her aura spoke of necromantic power far beyond anything they’d ever seen.

Si Kai, though concerned, couldn’t help but be awestruck.

He could feel the raw power radiating off his sister, but he knew something wasn’t quite right.

"Sister... are you alright?"

Gu Jin slowly stood up, her body feeling oddly light as if a new strength had taken root within her.

She looked down at her hands, her red eyes narrowing in focus as she felt the surge of power flowing through her veins.

A smile slowly curled on her lips.

"I did it... I transformed," she muttered under her breath.

She could feel her connection to the dead grow stronger, her necromantic powers blossoming to a level she had never imagined.

As for her overall strength, Gu Jin felt as if she had surpassed the Super Rank.

But then, without warning, a wave of nausea hit her. Her knees buckled, and she almost fell, clutching her stomach.

The once-glowing satisfaction in her eyes quickly faded, replaced by discomfort and pain.

"What... what is happening to me?" she asked, her voice shaky as she pressed her hands to her chest, feeling the strange sickness spreading through her.

In response, the familiar voice of the space echoed in her mind.

"Master, your transformation was only a partial success. You have indeed grown stronger, but the life force you absorbed from Lamashtu... it is harming you."

"Harming me?" Gu Jin’s brows furrowed in confusion.

"But I’ve transformed! My body should be able to handle it now."

"Your transformation has elevated your power, but the level of your necromancy element is still low," the space explained calmly.

"Even though you’ve changed, your body isn’t strong enough to fully accommodate the sheer magnitude of life force you took from Lamashtu. It’s too much for you to handle at your current rank."

Gu Jin clenched her fists, frustration boiling within her.

She could feel the immense power inside her, but she couldn’t control it, couldn’t absorb it fully.

It was like trying to hold water in her hands—slipping through her fingers no matter how hard she tried.

"Wait so you mean to tell me...due to me being at Primary Rank...the transformation was a partial success?"

"Yes, master."

Gu Jin gritted her teeth.

For once she thought her luck was with her.

B*tchy luck!

"How can I reduce the pain?" Gu Jin asked with gritted teeth.

"You can try to absorb it, but it will not be easy," the space continued, its voice somber.

"You lack the skill to fully control this kind of life force. The more you try to harness it, the more it will backfire. Your body simply isn’t ready for such power."

Ignoring the space’s warnings, Gu Jin closed her eyes and focused.

She could feel the swirling life force inside her, wild and untamed.

She gritted her teeth and concentrated, trying to absorb it, to bend it to her will.

But the more she tried, the worse she felt.

The energy inside her was like a storm—chaotic, uncontrollable.

Every time she attempted to pull it in, it would lash back at her, causing sharp, stabbing pain to ripple through her body.

"No!" Gu Jin gasped, clutching her head as a sudden wave of agony hit her.

Her vision blurred, and she stumbled, barely catching herself before falling.

"Why can’t I absorb it?"

"You’re pushing yourself too hard, master!" the space warned again.

"This power is too volatile. If you continue, it might kill you!"

"Yeah right..." Gu Jin muttered."And why didn’t you warn me beforehand?"

The space remained silent. It realized it has committed a mistake.

Her mana tries to kill her when it is about to awaken an element.

Her elements like Dark Fire and Necromancy want to kill her because their mere existence could put her in danger.

Sucking too much life force could kill her because she can’t control it.

Her transformation wants to kill her because it is not stable.

There were also some humans who were hell-bent on killing her.

Oh right! Even her space wants to kill her by hiding information!

Truly...her life was fucked up.

Gu Jin gritted her teeth,

"So my dear space...tell me how the f*ck should I clean up this mess? Should I wait for the transformation to be reversed?"

"That..." The space said in a sheepish tone and Gu Jin’s heart started to beat fast.

"Tell me the bad news." Gu Jin said.

"Hm...master why don’t you go on a killing spree?"

"When can the transformation be reversed?" Gu Jin asked when the space didn’t tell about her transformation reversal.

"That...master...it might be not possible until you completely absorb or vent it somewhere."

"And by venting you mean killing?" Gu Jin narrowed her eyes, her teeth clenched as she lamented her bad luck.

"Master...there are many parasites around...you can kill them and calm down the rising energy in your body." The space explained in a low voice.

Gu Jin’s eyes twitched in frustration as she stared at the empty space in front of her, her red eyes glowing faintly.

Her body ached from the unstable power swirling inside her, and now her so-called "helpful" space was suggesting a solution that involved, of all things, murder.

"Master, it’s the most effective solution," the space responded meekly, sensing her growing irritation.

"If you just... you know, kill a few parasites, it will help balance the energy!"

Gu Jin let out a deep, frustrated breath, her fists clenching and unclenching at her sides.

She looked around at the exhausted Si Kai and the three light mages, all of whom were watching her cautiously, clearly unsure whether to approach or run for their lives.

They had no idea what was going on in her mind right now—thankfully.

"Right. So, let me get this straight," Gu Jin said, pinching the bridge of her nose.

"First, you don’t warn me that my transformation is going to turn me into some kind of necromantic time bomb.

Then, you fail to mention that absorbing Lamashtu’s life force might actually kill me.

And now, your grand solution to fix this mess is for me to go full psycho and start slaughtering parasites?"

"Um... yes?"
