Chapter 250: Chapter 250: Teleportation Array.

Who would have thought that the cultivation method of her necromancy element could be used as an attack?

The result truly surprised Gu Jin but at the same time it told Gu Jin about how powerful the element was.

With just the cultivation method she could not only increase her cultivation but also kill her opponent.

She just needs to touch her opponent and needs a medium to suck away the life force.

"That was easy," she muttered, wiping the dirt from her hands.

Gu Jin could only take out her phone to book a cab.

Strangely even after trying for a long time, no cab came.

Gu Jin frowned.

The city was usually buzzing with activity, and finding a cab was never this hard.

She tried again, refreshing the app repeatedly, but the result was the same—no available cabs. Her frustration grew.

"Strange..." she muttered under her breath, glancing around.

With no other choice left, Gu Jin started to walk on her, hoping she could hitch a ride or something.

She regretted not putting a bike or car in her space.

Suddenly she thought of magic boots and tapped her forehead,

"How forgetful I am!"

Gu Jin took out the magic boots and started to fly in the air while using the map.

Within the next 2 hours, Gu Jin reached the Capital City. However, she soon stopped when she felt a barrier around the Capital City.

It was an invisible barrier that was dividing the Capital City from the outside world. Gu Jin hovered in the air, her brows furrowing as she examined the barrier.

"What’s going on here?" she murmured.

Gu Jin landed softly on the ground near the outskirts of the city and studied the surroundings, searching for any clues or weak points in the barrier.

The growing sound made Gu Jin pause.

She turned around and was surprised to find few people at a certain distance from her.

However, she soon realized that none of them were human.

They all were...parasites.

Gu Jin simply used her plant vines and necromancy element to suck away their life force.

"That was quicker than I expected," Gu Jin remarked, dusting her hands off.

The combination of her necromantic element and plant magic was proving to be quite effective.

For the next 5 hours, Gu Jin thought of different ways to enter the city but even after trying for a long time, she couldn’t enter.

She even tried to call her other friends but none of them picked up.

Just as she was wondering if she should try to break the barrier, Jin Mo called back.

"Jin’er?"

Gu Jin greeted her and asked,

"Do you know anything about the barrier that has been erected outside the capital city?"

"Ah, that? Wait! Where are you? You shouldn’t leave home!"

"Can you explain yourself more properly?" Gu Jin was confused.

"Jin’er don’t you know? The parasites and beasts have attacked Fujio city and have almost gained a foothold. From the news reports it is clear that Fujio city is on the verge of collapsing.

It is suspected that once the parasites completely overtake Fujio city their next target will be the Capital city and hence the barrier around the capital city has been activated.

All the citizens are asked to stay in their room and to quickly eliminate all the threats home visits are being conducted in the capital city."

What?

Gu Jin’s mind went blank before a few people appeared in her mind. She hurriedly asked,

"What about the Magic Academy of Fujio City? The Alchemy association?"

"As far as I know the parasites haven’t killed many humans yet, they are capturing all the humans and throwing them in a prison.

All the associations and schools have been taken over by them too. So the Magic Academy and the alchemy association..."

"The magic academy and alchemy association have been taken over?" Gu Jin repeated, her voice laced with disbelief.

Fujio City, once known for its powerful institutions, had fallen into the hands of parasites so quickly.

Jin Mo sighed heavily on the other end.

"Yes, Jin’er. It’s worse than anyone expected. The authorities are trying to contain the situation, but these parasites are more coordinated than we thought.

They’re capturing people and using them for... we don’t even know what. Their motives are still unclear."

Gu Jin clenched her fists.

Suddenly the images of Song Hancheng and Su Qing flashed in her mind and her face turned pale.

"From when did this attack start?" Gu Jin asked.

"About a week or so."

Gu Jin bites her lips.

She regretted not giving more vacation time to Song Hancheng and Su Qing.

According to her original arrangement, the pair should still be in Fujiuo City.

There was also Principal Feng and the people of the alchemy association.

"Anyways you stay in your house, don’t go out." Jin Mo said in a relaxed tone.

She thought maybe Gu Jin was cultivating for the past two weeks and with how confused Gu Jin sounded, she was definitely not around Fujio City.

"Yeah." Gu Jin didn’t tell Jin Mo the truth and hung up after getting some more information.

She took out her phone and started to calculate the distance between Fujio City and Beijing.

To her dismay, even if she takes no rest and keeps on going, she will still need 5 more days to reach Fujio City, if she relies on the magic boots.

Even though the magic boots were of supreme quality and could be used for a long time, their battery would eventually wear off.

Five days was too long, especially given the precarious situation in Fujio City. She needed a faster method to reach her destination.

After a few moments of contemplation, she activated the map again, searching for any teleportation arrays or other means of quick travel that she might have overlooked.

As she scrolled through, a small symbol caught her eye—an abandoned teleportation point located halfway between the Capital City and Fujio City.

"That could work," Gu Jin muttered to herself.

Although the teleportation array was marked as "abandoned," it was still worth checking out.

If it was functional or if she could repair it, she could cut down her travel time significantly.

As for how she knows to repair it? Thanks to the space and the additional classes she had taken in the past 3 years, Gu Jin knew some of the basics of how to repair any teleportation array.

Without wasting another moment, Gu Jin set off, adjusting her magic boots for maximum speed.

She soared into the sky, the wind rushing past her as she aimed for the teleportation point.

After a few hours of flying, she spotted the location of the abandoned teleportation array.

It was nestled in the ruins of an old temple, hidden away in a forest that looked like it hadn’t seen visitors in decades.

Gu Jin descended carefully, landing softly at the entrance of the temple.

The structure was ancient, its stone walls covered in moss and vines.

The moment she landed, Gu Jin’s heart skipped a beat.

A feeling of longing appeared in her heart.

Suppressing the longing, Gu Jin tried to enter the temple but to her dismay, an invisible force prevented her from entering.

"Uh! Don’t tell me they have even protected this temple!"

"Master the teleportation array is not inside the temple. It is behind the temple." The space told Gu Jin.

Gu Jin hurriedly walked behind the temple and sure enough, she found the teleportation array.

It was hidden beneath layers of overgrown vegetation, nearly invisible to anyone who wasn’t specifically looking for it.

The array was larger than she had expected, its intricate patterns etched deep into the ground.

It was clear that this was a high-level teleportation circle, far beyond what was commonly used.

However, the markings were faint, and parts of the array seemed damaged—likely the reason it had been abandoned.

She knelt beside it, brushing away the debris.

As her hands moved over the array, that strange feeling of longing intensified.

It was as if the place held some deep connection to her, though she couldn’t place why.

"Focus," Gu Jin muttered to herself, shaking off the odd sensation. She had a mission.

However, Gu Jin soon realized that she couldn’t fix the array.

Just as she was thinking of an alternate way, the space said,

"Master why don’t you try to use the gloves."

"The gloves?" Gu Jin was stunned.

"Yes, master the gloves can be useful." The space said confidently.

Gu Jin took out the gloves from her space and asked,

"How do you know about the functionality of the gloves so well?"

She had tried to find the gloves in various books but none of them mentioned what the gloves were and how it was used.

Only her space knew a little about the gloves.

"Maybe because we both are artifacts?" The space said in a nonchalant tone. However, Gu Jin felt as if the space sounded a bit guilty...
