"Okay, master." The space didn’t argue.

Gu Jin took a deep breath. She didn’t absorb the souls right away.

She remained motionless for the next 2 hours and didn’t take any action. It was as if she was convincing herself.

By the time she was ready, the space continued to explain,

"Master, if you want to absorb those souls, you will have to first activate your necromantic aura and extend it outward to make contact with them.

Once connected, you can begin drawing them into your life force," the space instructed in a low, steady tone.

Gu Jin nodded, closing her eyes and calming her breathing.

Slowly, she focused inward, reaching for the dark energy that resided deep within her.

Her fourth element—the necromantic power—stirred, pulsing with an eerie sensation.

It felt different from the other elements she had mastered, colder, darker, and filled with a strange sort of longing.

As she focused, a faint black mist began to form around her, swirling slowly at first but gradually expanding, spreading out across the ground like tendrils seeking connection.

This was her necromantic aura.

The moment the aura touched the first soul, a soft, resonant hum echoed through the air.

The soul, glowing a soft blue, began to drift toward her, drawn to the aura like a moth to a flame.

Gu Jin could feel its energy, weak but pure, as it willingly surrendered itself to her.

The energy flowed into her, cold and foreign, but not unpleasant.

The soul entered slowly and got absorbed by the violet mana ball in her mana space.

One by one, the souls followed.

Blue, green, and even some of the red-tinged ones filled with resentment approached her cautiously, their energies blending into her own

Each one brought a different sensation—some were calming, others sharp and chaotic.

The process was very slow and required a lot of concentration but Gu Jin patiently completed it.

When she finally opened her eyes again, the cemetery had grown quiet.

Looking at the bright sun, Gu Jin muttered in a dizzy voice,

"This process was indeed easy. I reached Primary Rank Tier-2 in just one night."

"Uh...master...6 weeks have already passed." The space informed.

"What?" Gu Jin couldn’t believe her ears.

6 weeks?

Though the cultivation speed can be considered fast, what truly surprised her was...

"How come I didn’t feel that so much time had passed? When I was absorbing those ghosts I only felt as if six hours had passed. Uh...Anyways, are you sure no one had entered the cemetery during this time?" Gu Jin asked.

"No master. But just for your protection, I had made an extra layer of protective barrier around you which hid not only your presence but also the aura and breathing."

"Good!" Gu Jin nodded.

She used her senses to check whether anyone was around and asked the space to do the same.

Once she was sure that no one was around, Gu Jin entered the space took a bath, and ate some food.

Before starting cultivation, she had eaten a fasting pill because of which she didn’t feel any hunger, but once she ate a small bite of porridge, Gu Jin realized how hungry she was.

After eating light food for breakfast, she slept for two days in the space before exiting the space.

She was truly tired.

"By the way can you tell me what spell is unlocked at the primary rank of necromancy element?"

She cultivated her necromancy element without knowing what spell would be unlocked.

It would be right to say that even though she had cultivated necromancy elements till the primary rank tier-2, she didn’t know how to cast a single spell.

"Master as compared to other elements where the mage gets proficient in a spell only after using and practicing it repeatedly, necromancy spells are much more simple.

You just have to cast them once and you will become proficient. The difficulty of necromancy lies in its cultivation."

"Oh. But now can you tell me what is the first spell that I have unlocked?" Gu Jin asked.

Though she can check the name of the spell as long as she opens the book, for the first time she feels lazy.

"Arise from death. Master, as long as you use the life force you can resurrect any dead human."

Gu Jin’s eyes brighetend.

"Is there a limit?"

"Theoretically no, but practically yes. Your life force is the limitation, as long as you have enough of it, you can resurrect as many dead humans as you wish.

But master, be cautious. The more powerful the individual in life, the more life force is required to bring them back, and maintaining control over them can be... complicated." The space’s voice was laced with warning.

"Um...what about their powers? What if I resurrect a mage who is at an emperor rank?" Gu Jin’s mind was filled with various ideas.

What if she accumulates a lot of life force and finds the greatest mage’s tomb and resurrects him?

"Master that is the problem. At your current rank, you might not be able to resurrect any individual above Super Rank.

Most importantly the dead person you can resurrect must not be dead for more than 2 hours. Even after the resurrection, their power isn’t guaranteed.

Maybe they will retain all of their power, or maybe they will not retain any power at all!"

The space’s words were like cold water being poured on Gu Jin’s heart.

"But master don’t worry. As long as you can increase your cultivation the limitation will change too."

Gu Jin nodded and walked out of the cemetery.

As soon as she reached the bus stop she smiled.

There was no crowd, there was hardly any person on the bus.

Gu Jin turned on her phone call and realized that many people had called her.

Song Hancheng called 243 times, Su Qing called 218 times and there were many more missed calls.

’Are there any issues related to the business?’ That was the first question that appeared in Gu Jin’s heart.

She hurriedly dialed their number but the call didn’t go throw.

"What the hell..."

Suddenly Gu Jin dodged and jumped two to three meters away.

"Hu! Hu! Young lady, you are too energetic! But why are you acting like a frightened rabbit? Haha!" An old man with a hunched back and kind smile said.

Gu Jin looked at the old man calmly, as if she had accepted her words but the distance between them told a completely different story.

"Young lady, why are you so far? Come here, please. I just want to ask when the next bus will arrive."

"Please ask someone else I don’t know." Gu Jin said calmly.

"Fine! Fine! Ah! Young people nowadays are truly overly cautious!" The old man said and laughed again.

Gu Jin maintained the distance between them.

When even after 30 minutes no buss arrived, Gu Jin frowned.

Just as Gu Jin was thinking of leaving, the old man suddenly fell to the ground.

"Ahhh!" He clutched his heart as if he was in pain. His face turned pale and sweat appeared on his forehead.

Gu Jin was debating whether to help the old man or not when the next second, the old man fell on the ground.

His breathing slowed down and for a moment it became difficult to determine whether he was dead or alive.

Suddenly Gu Jin paused and started to walk away.

The old man who was lying on the floor supposedly dead...suddenly stood up and growled,

"You are a heartless person! You deserve to die."

The moment the old man finished his words, his face tore open dividing his face into five pieces which resembled petals, revealing a tongue inside.

The tongue made its way to Gu Jin, with the intention of swallowing her.

"Plant vines."

A few green strong vines emerged from the ground and held the parasite’s tongues.

Gu Jin waved her hands left and right, resulting in the parasites being instantly torn apart by the vines, the tongue splitting and writhing in midair as the creature screeched in pain.

Gu Jin remained calm, her eyes cold as she controlled the vines with precision.

The vines wrapped around the old man’s grotesque form, tightening with a strength that could crush stone.

The creature that had once posed as an old man snarled, its face twisted in fury.

"You think you can stop me with this pathetic trick? I am older than your bloodline, stronger than your—"

Before it could finish, Gu Jin’s necromantic aura flared up.

Her violet mana pulsed, and her eyes gleamed with dark energy. She raised her hand and whispered,

"Consume."

The vines turned black, infused with necromantic energy, and began to wither and decay the parasite from within. Its grotesque body shriveled as it let out a final, guttural scream.

In seconds, it was reduced to nothing but dust, leaving behind a dark, foul-smelling residue.

Gu Jin exhaled softly, dismissing the vines with a flick of her wrist.
