Chapter 217: Fourth Element Awakening

Chapter 217: Chapter 217: Fourth Element Awakening

Gu Jin’s teeth were clattering, but she cast her full power attack,

"Dark Flame Nine Pillars!"

Skelly watched in shock as suddenly nine pillars of dark fire emerged around him. The Skelly tried to run away but the protective barrier he had activated earlier prevented him from running away.

Gu Jin narrowed her eyes.

Hm...

Why was Skelly now trying to run?

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Gu Jin didn’t get an answer as the pillars started to burst out one by one.

Surprisingly this time Skelly was affected. Its hand was torn due to one of the explosions.

Suddenly Skelly started to fly towards the ground.

Gu Jin thought of a possibility and used her plant vines to hold the Skelly, but he easily dodged it.

So only the dark fire element affects him?

But why was he able to dodge earlier?

Seeing how desperate he was to reach the ground, Gu Jin realized that Skelly’s powerful defense in the previous time was maybe due to the ground.

Was it a charging base or something?

Anyway, what matters now is, to prevent him from reaching the ground and attacking him with a dark fire element.

"Dark Firey balls!"

The dark flames surged from her hands, forming several balls of concentrated, intense dark fire.

Skelly tried to dodge, but the sheer volume of the attack and the lingering effects of the dark flames from earlier made it difficult for him to maneuver.

One of the fiery balls hit Skelly squarely, exploding on impact and sending him spiraling through the air.

The dark flames clung to Skelly’s skeletal form, scorching his remaining defenses. He roared in agony as the intense heat burned away parts of his already damaged body.

Despite his efforts to shield himself with his wings and scythe, the relentless assault from the dark fireballs continued to weaken him further.

Gu Jin, seeing Skelly’s struggle, took advantage of his rare moment of weakness and cast another Dark Fire element spell,

"Dark Fire Vines."

Black and blueish vines emerged from the ground and wrapped around the Skelly.

The black and bluish vines coiled tightly around him, their dark flames searing into his skeletal form.

He struggled to free himself, but the more he fought, the tighter the vines constricted, further inflaming the damage.

Gu Jin took advantage of Skelly’s immobilized state.

Her breath came in ragged gasps, but she focused her remaining strength and summoned one final, devastating spell. She gathered all her energy and channeled it into a powerful, concentrated sphere of dark fire.

"Dark Fire Oblivion!" she roared, hurling the sphere toward Skelly.

The sphere of dark fire flew through the air with a blinding speed and intensity, colliding with Skelly’s restrained form.

The explosion was deafening, sending shockwaves through the chamber and illuminating the darkness with a fierce, purifying light.

The force of the impact shattered Skelly’s remains into countless fragments, the dark fire consuming and annihilating what was left of him.

Plop.

Something fell from Skelly’s body but Gu Jin wasn’t in the mood to focus on it for the time being.

The chamber fell silent, the residual heat and smoke gradually dissipating.

Gu Jin hovered in the air, her body trembling from exhaustion and the toll of the battle.

She slowly made her way to the ground and after lightly touching the ground and the area around it, Gu Jin heaved a sigh of relief and fell on the ground.

The back injury made Gu Jin groan in pain.

Gu Jin turned around and lied on her stomach.

Her back was hurting to the point that she felt she might die.

If Gu Jin could see her back she would realize her entire back had turned black at some point...

Feeling her vision turning blurry, Gu Jin hurriedly took out the healing pills and some healing artifacts and activated them.

Whoosh.

The injury started to heal.

However, the pain didn’t subside.

Gu Jin’s body trembled and she felt cold. Having no choice Gu Jin took out more clothes, yet she kept on feeling cold.

"Is it because of death energy?" Gu Jin questioned herself.

Suddenly a circular ball thing caught her eyes.

Gu Jin narrowed her eyes and looked at it carefully.

To distract herself from pain, Gu Jin slowly crawled toward the circular black ball.

With trembling hands, she held the circular black ball.

Whoosh.

The death energy from the black ball suddenly started to seep into Gu Jin’s body.

"Ahhh." Gu Jin tried to retract her hand, but the black ball’s energy was already intertwined with her own. The death energy began to flow through her veins.

Her vision was blurrying but Gu Jin forced herself to stay awake.

She knew, that if she lost her consciousness, she might never wake up.

So Gu Jin gritted her teeth and tried her best to stay awake.

Time slowly passed.

Gu Jin didn’t know how long the time passed, the only thing she knew was...her body temperature stopped dropping.

She still felt cold, so cold that she wanted to cover herself with more clothes, but she knew it wasn’t because of clothes that she was feeling cold.

Whoosh.

The circular ball suddenly dimmed down and turned into ashes.

At the same time, Gu Jin’s body started to glow with violet color.

"Not again." Gu Jin muttered.

She felt a familiar chaos overtaking her body and Gu Jin shouted,

"F*ck you! If you dared to harm my body this time I would rather die than not awaken you."

Yet the violet mana in Gu Jin’s mana world didn’t stop to

Gu Jin entered her mana world and saw the violet man whose color had dulled down.

It was violently jumping up and down.

"Don’t you dare..."

However Gu Jin couldn’t finish her words, and the violent mana jumped even more like a spoiled child.

"B*stard, I said....ah!"

Gu Jin couldn’t finish her words, she felt her body’s internal organs getting hurt.

She understood that this element won’t listen to hard words and said in a gritted tone,

"My dear violet mana, please calm down!"

However contrary to her expectations, it continued to cause chaos.

Gu Jin wanted to slap the violet mana.

"If you keep on causing trouble like that I won’t be able to awaken you!"

The violet mana finally calmed down a little but not completely.

Gu Jin exited her mana space and slowly asked,

"Where to go?"

She had to enter her mana world again and touch the violet mana,

"Left! Left! Running away! Catch!"

Gu Jin understood the implication.

The thing that could trigger her element was in the left direction, and running away, It was asking her to catch it.

Gu Jin exited the mana space and with trembling legs started to run.

However, instead of calling it running, it was better to call it walking.

On the left was a huge closed door. It has some strange designs, symbols, and runes on it.

Gu Jin ignored the details and tried her best to push the heavy door open. With a final burst of effort, she managed to pry it open just enough to squeeze through.

Inside was a dimly lit chamber filled with an eerie glow.

The room was completely empty.

This time Gu Jin didn’t dare to go near the ground and hovered in the air.

"Where is it?"

"Below the ground!" The violet mana said.

"Below the ground, how will I be able to dig it out?" Gu Jin asked.

"Don’t know...." The Violet mana answered.

Gu Jin gritted her teeth and cast a dark fire spell towards the ground.

Boom!

The moment the attacked hit the ground, the floor exploded in a burst of dark flames, revealing a hidden chamber beneath.

Gu Jin’s spell had blasted away the debris, exposing an entrance leading downwards.

Gu Jin descended cautiously, her body still trembling and her back aching from the injuries. She landed softly on the floor of the newly revealed chamber.

The area was filled with ancient symbols and runes similar to those on the door she had opened.

In the center of the chamber was a large, dark altar surrounded by more runes.

As she approached the altar, the violet mana inside her began to react, becoming agitated once more.

Gu Jin could feel its energy surging, guiding her toward the altar.

She could see a faint glow emanating from the base of the altar. With her remaining strength, she examined it closely.

There was a hidden compartment at the base of the altar. Gu Jin pried it open with trembling hands, revealing a small, intricate box.

The box was adorned with more ancient runes and symbols. As she touched the box, the violet mana within her flared up, seemingly drawn to it.

Gu Jin carefully opened the box.

Inside was a crystal embedded with violet energy, pulsating with the same chaotic mana that had been causing her so much trouble.

Whoosh.

A purple ball suddenly entered her mana world.
