The girl looked up at Gu Jin with surprise.

Gu Jin wasn’t looking at the girl, instead, she was trying to find an ATM or something.

"I hope you are not scamming otherwise I come and skin you alive."

She faked a threatening tone and the girl knew that Gu Jin was just trying to scare her and wouldn’t truly harm her.

Tears welled up in the girl’s eyes as she accepted the money, her hands trembling with gratitude.

"Thank you, thank you so much," the girl murmured, her voice choked with emotion. "You’re a lifesaver."

For the past 2 weeks, many pitied her, but no one bought the artifact.

She understood that they were helpless too and hence she didn’t resent them.

But with each passing day, her heart was turning heavy.

She knew that her grandmother didn’t have much time left and hence she wanted to fulfil her grandma’s last wish.

Even though her heart was filled with regret when she had to sell the artifact left by her father, she still gritted her teeth and sold them.

Life was never fair for her and she was okay with it.

Once her grandmother dies, she will start to accumulate some money and enroll in a magic academy.

For the next 4 minutes, the head butler kept on nagging, and Gu Jin only looked at the head butler with a bored expression.

"I am getting late." Gu Jin said coldly.

If such a head butler had been present in her previous life he would have been killed by her.

Then again, he didn’t have any bad intentions and she would at most kick him out of the organization.

"Alright. I hope that you will come back in one piece and don’t get harmed by anyone. If someone bullies you..."

Gu Jin was surprised by the head butler’s warm words.

Long Yifan passed her a card, on which his phone number was written and as Gu Jin was examining it, Long Yifan softly said,

"All the best."

Gu Jin paused and finally, a smile appeared on her face,

"Thank you."

Since her parent’s death, this was the first time someone said to her ’All the best’

Long Yifan was a bit mesmerized by Gu Jin’s smile and wished to click a photo of her.

Who would have thought that this cold girl had such a beautiful smile?

With a nod, he turned to leave.

Gu Jin suddenly asked,

"Do you love your fiance a lot?"

"Why are you asking?" Long Yifan asked back. He neither agreed nor disagreed.

"Just curious. Don’t worry, your answer will not change the way I will feel for you..." Gu Jin said.

It was true that she liked him, but she wouldn’t break off a relationship, even if it was a meaningless one.

Her mother had taught her to never interfere in other’s relationships just because it is a meaningless one.

They may be on the verge of breaking up, but never be the reason that becomes the final reason to break them apart.

She just wanted to know, how it feels to be loved by the guy in front of her.

He has shown many sides of his to her.

A cold side, a playful side, a broken side, and a caring side.

She wanted to see how loving he could look. But then again...she knew that once she saw his loving side, maybe she would never be able to like someone else, or maybe her heart would be broken completely.

"I don’t love her." Long Yifan answered in a light tone.

He wanted to ask Gu Jin whether she felt it too...but sometimes it is better to not say certain things.

He didn’t want to give her hope when he knew that he would crush her feelings in the future.

After Long Yifan left, Gu Jin was in a trance.

Loyal even though he doesn’t love that young woman. Just how lucky that young woman was?

The military division in which they live is Celestia.

To reach the Undercity Division, they can either go through the Moonshadow forest, or they could go through the Evergloom Forest.

Since the Evergloom Forest was very dangerous, the team decided to cross over the Moonshadow Forest.

"Catalope is a Radical Class beast. It can be defeated by intermediate-rank beats. But the red-eyed deer is a Soul Glass beast.
