Chapter 91: Elliana is not allowed

Chapter-91

As soon as Elliana stepped out of the door, Daniel, who had been waiting for her, immediately turned away so that he won’t have to see her.

He didn’t want to see her like this. He wanted to see her when she was right in front of him.

Samantha and Melony picked her up from the place where Elliana said she would meet them. They were awed at her beauty and fought for a long time about what kind of makeup they should put on her face.

In the end, they finally settled with the dark green and black eyeshadow and black cat-like eyeliner, not making her eyes too smokey. They left her lips a plump pink shade with a little red tint in the middle to make her lips plumper. They didn’t touch her cheeks. They looked perfect.

Melony was obsessed with the small black pearl necklace she had and, even more than that, the crystal pendant that Elliana wore all the time. Though only the silver chain of that pendant was visible, it was going well with the dress and making Elliana more beautiful.

The sound of heels clacking on the pavement echoed, and Daniel gulped, ready to see Elliana.

He turned around, ready to see her, but to his annoyance, Elliana’s view was blocked by Samantha, who was standing right in front of her as she talked to someone over the call.

This girl! Daniel gritted his teeth, twisting his neck a bit to the right to see his partner, but Elliana walked ahead with Melony inside the venue, and he narrowed his eyes.

What the hell were they doing? Their partners were standing here outside. How can they go inside alone? Daniel looked at Drake, who shrugged, and they walked inside the venue.

They noticed the girls were standing at the corner and were still outside the main entrance.

Daniel noticed the anger on Samantha’s face and narrowed his eyes even more. Elliana walked with Melony furthermore towards the gate as the latter talked to the guards.

What the hell was happening?

"What’s wrong?" Daniel asked Samantha, who gritted her teeth.

"Who was the one who removed Elliana’s name from the first-year students and put her in the fourth year? She isn’t getting the entry," Samantha growled.

Daniel looked at the girl, who was looking down at her feet. He was still to see her face, but the green dress was a clear recognition of who she was.

"You are a member of the student council, aren’t you? Can’t you do anything?" Samantha asked, but Daniel kept looking at the girl, waiting for her to turn.

As if Elliana felt someone was looking at her, she turned her head, and it was as if he was hit by the cupid’s arrow. His heart started beating fast with a soft ache that felt like it would only be resolved after holding her in his arms.

He didn’t answer Samantha.

Daniel just walked ahead and stood right in front of Elliana, who blinked at her.

"You look splendid. I have never seen someone so beautiful," he whispered before he held her hand, intertwining his fingers.

"Let’s go," Daniel smiled, and Elliana raised her brows.

"Sir Daniel, her name is on the list -"

"Do I need to take permission from you to bring my partner here now? The last time I checked, students were allowed to bring different year partners as long as they belonged to this University. Or is it that someone paid you to stop her?" Daniel asked, his form towering over the guard, who was a vampire and cowered away in fear.

"I will deal with you later, and I swear once I catch this person, you will not see the end of it," Daniel said.

"Sir, we are just following the rules. The name was probably omitted from the list before it was sent to us," the guard said, and Alcinder, who came at the same time, looked at the guards, who backed off when they saw the council’s head’s son.

"I heard what happened from Samantha. Is the matter solved -" The rest of the words stuck in his throat when he looked at Elliana, who turned to him at the same time.

She looked ethereal, no doubt. He hadn’t expected her to look this beautiful in this dress. The make-up suited her personality, and she looked like a little aphrodisiac.

"Let’s go," Alcinder’s eyes didn’t move from Elliana, who nodded before holding Daniel’s hand tighter to calm him.

Daniel, whose anger was increasing because of the guards and how they dared to stop Elliana from entering, sighed before turning to her.

One look at her face, and he melted then and there.

"Let’s go," Daniel said, and Elliana nodded.

As soon as the prestigious and reputed vampire students of the University entered, the music lowered, and everyone turned to look at them.

However, for the first time, their gaze stopped at the human girl with them.

Elliana hardened her gaze, her almond-shaped eyes drooping a bit, her dominance increasing as her powers suddenly became alert inside her.

Daniel, who felt the sudden change in the girl’s aura as he was holding her hand, looked at her in surprise.

However, Elliana wasn’t looking at him. Her gaze was fixated on Madeline, who was standing on the stage.

She was wearing a red dress with a soft neckline and shoulders that settled at the edges. Her long bell sleeves reached her thighs as they were slit, showcasing her white skin. Her red dress wasn’t too sparkly, and the small glittered roses on the left shoulder, along with a bow-like knot and a long slit on her left leg, made her look even more beautiful than she usually looked.

It was really hard to decide who looked prettier, but one thing was for sure, while Madeline was wearing a color that was bound to make most girls look beautiful, as Alcinder had said, Elliana was the only girl wearing dark green.

Everyone knew Madeline was the princess of the hunter bloodline of the humans, but Elliana looked sophisticated and nothing less than another born royalty.

Her background was still unknown and well hidden because of Sebastian’s instructions as per Elliana’s wish, which added more to her beauty.

A small smile appeared on Elliana’s face as she looked at her step-sister challengingly and stepped ahead with Daniel.

Since they were partners, they were supposed to descend the stairs together, but Daniel quickly descended one step before Elliana and extended his hand for Elliana to take.

"Princess," Daniel used the same name that the man was using over the call when they were on the group call, and Elliana raised her brows.

This little action of Daniel was enough to lift Elliana’s status in everyone’s eyes, despite her identity, and everyone looked at the mayor’s son in awe.

First, that grand proposal, and now he was treating her like he was below her.

The girls gushed and awed at him while the boys rolled their eyes.

Their partners were already giving them a hard time because of his earlier actions. Why was he setting the bar so high?

Elliana looked at Daniel’s hand, and her gaze moved to Madeline, a challenging look appearing in Elliana’s eyes as she placed her hand in his and descended the stairs one by one.

Each step Elliana descended made Madeline’s smile falter from her face. She had cunningly removed Elliana’s name when she was at Aditya’s house and had entered his room while waiting for him yesterday.

She was sure she would see Elliana getting humiliated a little before some knight in shining Armor came for her, but she had completely forgotten that these leeches were roaming around her these days.

It was so hard to attack and single out Elliana these days because they weren’t leaving her alone for a second. Madeline still found it hard to figure out what was so good about her stepsister that these vampires were head over heels for her.

Was it because of their branch? But they had vampires in their stream too. Why were they not as interactive as them? Was it because she was the human council head’s son’s girlfriend? Madeline thought, her gaze not leaving the girl dressed in black.

Everything aside, she won’t deny that this useless step-sister of hers looked really beautiful. She has always been beautiful. That was the reason she never let her wear any new things, afraid that Aditya might take a liking to this girl.

There was a time when Aditya had a slip of heart, but thankfully it was over soon.

Madeline turned her gaze and looked at Aditya, who was over the call and entering the venue. He had gone out earlier because of an urgent call from his father about some blue project.

Her gaze fixated on Aditya. She wanted to observe his reaction to Elliana’s beauty. That would give her enough reasons to do what she had planned today.

Madeline’s gaze moved around the venue, smiling inwardly at all the things she had planned just for her cute little sister.
