Chapter 79: The mysterious place
Chapter-79
"Are you sure about it? I can drop you off wherever you want to go. If it’s about the confined space, I can call my car here," Daniel looked at her in hope, and Elliana shook her head.
She can’t afford them knowing where she was going, or everything would go down the drain, and it won’t affect only her but those people too.
"Thank you for your offer, Daniel, but I am going to meet a friend, and she doesn’t like meeting new people. She kind of lives in hiding because of a trauma," Elliana lied straight through her teeth.
"Are you sure you are not doing it because you don’t want us to know where your home is?" Daniel narrowed his eyes jokingly, and Elliana rolled her eyes.
"Of course. I don’t want you to know what kind of shady business I am into," Elliana missed, and they laughed.
"But honestly, is everyone around you suffering from some kind of trauma?" Alcinder commented insensitively, and any other person would’ve been offended, but Elliana just smiled and hummed.
"What can I say? Birds of the same feather flock together. Isn’t that why you are with me here, discussing why I am not sitting with you and honoring your car? Are you so excited to sit with me?" Elliana smiled challengingly.
"You guys, stop it. Alcinder, get in the car. We don’t need another session of Rat, rabbit, or Bottle guard," Daniel said, looking at Elliana one last time before they sat inside the car one by one.
Elliana waved her hand, standing on the pavement of the restaurant as they left.
As soon as her friends left, she messaged the woman she needed to meet.
[Come inside. I am ready.] She hit the send to the person responsible for her safe travel to the destination without anyone knowing about her identity.
Elliana walked inside the restaurant and sat inside the innermost corner of the cafe, farthest from the windows and door of the cafe, so that no one noticed her.
Thankfully she also brought her hat that was big enough to hide more than half of her face.
After a few minutes, she noticed the familiar woman walking inside the restaurant who immediately spotted her. The lady was covered from head to toe and was even wearing a scarf to hide her face. If she didn’t know her better, she would’ve thought that she was here to abduct someone.
Elliana nodded at the lady before looking around and walking inside the restroom of the restaurant.
"Are you sure no one was tailing you?" Elliana asked, and the woman hummed.
"Here, this is your reward for the good work," Elliana gave the large stack of money to the woman, who looked at the stack of green notes and smiled with tears in her eyes.
She looked at Elliana before holding her hands and placing them near her forehead, a signal to thank Elliana and show how grateful they were to her.
"These are not for free. You worked and risked enough for these. You show me your loyalty, and I will keep paying you handsomely," Elliana said.
She was nothing like the sweet girl she pretended to be in front of her friends or the royal Kingdom.
The woman in front of her was mute, but with her hand signals, she asked what the plan was, and Elliana told her everything with her signals. The lady showed her thumbs up in a signal to tell Elliana that she was up for it.
"Okay, help me undress quickly," Elliana said, and the lady widened her eyes before hiding her body with her hands.
Elliana looked at the lady in front of her and rolled her eyes.
"Seriously? How are we going to do it then?" Elliana mused before going inside the cubicle and changing her clothes into the ones that the lady had brought.
She wore her scarf before testing her outfit and walking out of the cubicle, looking at herself in the mirror.
Elliana wore the shades that the woman brought for her before smiling at herself in the mirror, her smile not visible because of the scarf.
This was the perfect disguise.
"You know what to do, right?" Elliana looked at the woman, who nodded shyly, making Elliana smile.
She bent to the eye level of the petite woman and held her hand to express her trust in her.
"This is the mission, and all the coming missions will be under your handle. I have ordered some food for you. Don’t forget to stay fed. After I return, I’ll order the restaurant some takeout for your family. I will leave now," Elliana said, and the lady nodded before they walked out of the washroom at the same time.
Elliana walked straight out of the restaurant. She immediately noticed the lady on the bike, that was probably the one who dropped that woman to Elliana and smiled before waving her hand.
"Are we ready to go?" Elliana asked, and the woman nodded.
"Let’s go then," Elliana motioned the woman to shift back so she could ride the bike.
As soon as the lady shifted in the back seat, Elliana sat and accelerated the bike to her destination.
"I heard what happened with Carlos. Don’t worry. I will protect you guys. I will arrange for a new home for you. Misha has already received some funds from me. I will give you some separately. Don’t feel burdened. This is all for your hard work," Elliana said, and the woman sitting beside her wiped her eyes to hide the tears from their lord.
Elliana came into their life when they were struggling with surviving. She gave them what the others never gave. Even when they were mute, she never complained about it and even learned the sign language for them.
For them, Elliana was the other face of the goddess, and that’s why they were always ready to lay down their lives for her.
They were going to die that day anyways. If Elliana hadn’t saved them, they wouldn’t be here anyway. Not only was she ensuring they lived a healthy and happy life, but she also gave them work worthy of their skills.
She even trained them hard so that every man had to think twice before laying their dirty gaze on them just because they were mute and couldn’t scream for help.
The woman looked at the back of the girl and bit her lower lip to contain her emotions.
Elliana hates it the most when they cry. According to her, their eyes weren’t meant for crying but for seeing big dreams.
"Why are you suddenly quiet?" Elliana asked, and the woman looked at the girl with furious annoyance.
The woman scooted closer to the girl before extending her hand and signing. Elliana looked at her furious hands in the mirror.
[Do you want to kill us both? Concentrate on driving] the lady signed, and Elliana chuckled at her furious expression before shaking her head and accelerating the bike even more, making the woman hold onto her for dear life.
"At least tell me the place from your hand, will you? I wasn’t the one to allot you the place this time," Elliana said.
Every time a turn would come, the lady would tap Elliana’s left or right shoulder, and if they needed to go straight, she would tap the middle of Elliana’s back.
After riding for another thirty minutes, Elliana finally parked the bike in front of what looked like an abandoned building.
"Isn’t the place a bit too shady and easy to observe? You should’ve chosen a crowded place rather," Elliana commented before holding her hand.
"Stay close to me; I am afraid someone is already here and watching us," Elliana signed to the lady, and she nodded before hiding behind Elliana, making the latter chuckle.
They walked inside the abandoned building.
"I am here," Elliana said loudly, and soon around ten women in black jackets appeared in front of her in a second. Elliana looked into their eyes, which were screaming raging emotions.
She sighed and looked at the woman behind her, who immediately left her side and stood in front of her, facing her like the other ladies.
"Seriously? After everything I did for you, you are going to betray me like this?" Elliana raised her brows, and the woman found herself in a tight spot.
Elliana could see her resolve breaking, but she was still contemplating, and Elliana had to suppress the urge to chuckle at the look of confusion on her face.
"Tell me, Glow. After everything, you are going to stand with them and question me. Who was the one who gave you such a high experience of riding with me? You are such a betrayer," Elliana walked ahead, and one of the ladies placed their fighting stick in front of her, stopping Elliana in her place.
"What do you want? You want me to fight you?" Elliana’s eyes became resolute, but seeing their resolution, she finally sighed and nodded in defeat.
