"Look here," Daniel whispered, and Elliana twirled into the dress. If sweeping someone away from their feet was an expression, it was exactly what he was feeling right now.

In front of him, Elliana was standing in a beige colored gown, looking nothing less than a princess. Her amber eyes shone even more with the color, and her brown locks complimented the dress even more.

The long sleeves with the long cut on their sides made it look like nothing less than royalty. The dress didn’t show any skin, but still, she looked like the most alluring girl in the shop.

"How is it?" Elliana turned to Samantha, and the girl, though shocked by this human’s otherworldly beauty, shook her head.

"I think you can pull off red or blue even better. This is beautiful too, but let’s consider other options too, yeah?" Samantha said, and Elliana, who was feeling a bit urgent, smiled and nodded stiffly.

"Why are you making her change? She looks so -" Daniel’s eyes were seeing stars, and Samantha chuckled at his dazed expression.

"She will look even more beautiful in the other dress," Samantha said, and Elliana turned to go to the changing room, but she bumped into Alcinder, who held her waist to keep her from falling.

His gaze swept over her dress, and he nodded approvingly.

"What do you think of this dress?" Alcinder brought out the most sophisticated dress in the shop, and Samantha’s eyes beamed.

It was a violet half-off-shoulder dress with only elbow-length sleeves. The frills on the large skirt were designed into shimmering silver violet roses, with some small silver stones, and they made it look even more beautiful.

"This is beautiful. I think you should try," Elliana looked at Samantha, and she nodded.

"I am going to try it. Why don’t you pick something for Elliana, too, Alcinder?" Samantha said, and she took the dress from his hand before walking inside the changing room.

"Well," Daniel shrugged before walking to the long shelves of the dresses.

"Do you have a color preference, too, Elliana?" Daniel touched a few dresses.

Unlike Samantha, who said she would look good in Red and Blue, Daniel felt she would look more perfect in light-colored dresses.

Just like Daniel, Alcinder also started to look at the dresses, and his hand stopped at a dark green ball gown. He looked at the girl’s face and then looked at the dress before nodding at himself.

"Would you like to try this one?" He asked, and she looked at the dress before scrunching her brows.

"Are you sure about this color?" She asked, and he hummed.

"It will bring out your eye color even more. Besides, I am sure not many girls would be able to pull off this color, and they will go for prime and common colors. This has black frills and roses, and it gives it an exotic vibe. Something that will perfectly suit you because of your figure and facial structure. You will look even more beautiful in this one for sure," Alcinder coughed when he realized what he had said.

Elliana looked at him observantly, and he looked away to hide his embarrassment.

"Alcinder?" Elliana raised her brows, and he hummed.

He thought she was going to make fun of what he said, but to his surprise, she rather said something different.

"If I didn’t know any better, I would’ve almost believed that you were gaining a commission from selling this dress. Your explanation was top-notch," Elliana said before she stepped closer to Alcinder and took the dress from his hand carefully.

Daniel turned to the duo and looked at the dress in Alcinder’s hand that looked too pretty and nodded. He wouldn’t have a problem wearing a green mask, either.

"I think you should indeed try this one. This looks good," Daniel smiled, and Elliana nodded before walking inside the second changing room.

"So?" Samantha walked out of the changing room, and Alcinder looked at the beautiful princess in front of him and nodded. The beads on the neck and chest on the thin sheet of cloth also showed her skin but weren’t explicit, made her look appealing.

"I didn’t know there was a cut this big on the side of the thigh," Alcinder said when he noticed, and sensing the uneasiness in his voice, Samantha chuckled.

"Why? What happened, Alcinder? Is it making you uncomfortable? Uncomfortable that the other boys would get the chance to look at my legs?" Samantha chuckled, and Alcinder sighed.

"You are not taking this one. You are a princess. What will people think if they see this kind of dress on you?" Alcinder nagged, and Samantha smiled sheepishly.

"Alcinder, this skirt is so big that it won’t even get noticed while dancing until I am showing it myself. Here, see?" Samantha said before twisting and twirling in her place, making Alcinder hum.

He was about to say that she still shouldn’t take any chances and change the dress when the sound of a bolt unlocking responded, and his gaze immediately followed the second changing room.

The skirt of her dress showed first through the mirror, and he anticipated her look.

For a second, he contemplated closing his eyes, but then realizing what kind of thoughts he was getting, he coughed before looking away momentarily so that no one suspects that he was actually waiting for Elliana to come and show how she was looking.

"Wow. I actually thought you would look. pretty in blue and red, but this -" Even Samantha was speechless.

For this dress, Elliana had loosened her hair and formed a half bun just to see if this would look good on her face, and her hairstyle complimented the dress even more.

"I can’t wait to see you in a green and black smokey eye shadow. Please tell me I can do your makeup," Samantha said, and Elliana looked at the Princess’s enthusiasm before nodding with a soft smile.

"Can you get out of the way? We are also waiting to see how she is looking " Daniel was getting annoyed since Samantha was in the way, and her big gown wasn’t leaving much for the imagination.

"Aren’t you a bit too excited?" Samantha teased before she stepped aside, and Elliana’s gaze met Daniel.

He kept looking at her for a few seconds and didn’t say anything.

Was it possible? For a human to look this beautiful? Even more beautiful than a vampire princess? What kind of beauty was this? Though Elliana was bullied and often a target for bullying, Daniel felt like she was also the moon goddess’s favorite kid when it came to looks.

Her eyes with double eyelids blinked back at him as if asking how she looked, but could he speak anything?

Her amber eyes had him captivated, and there was nothing he wanted to say or do at the moment apart from looking at her.

"Close your mouth, Daniel. Flies might enter there," Samantha teased, and Daniel touched his mouth to close it in a daze even when it wasn’t opened in the first place, making Elliana chuckle at his exaggeration.

Wasn’t he being a bit too overboard now?

If her natural beauty wasn’t enough, her smile and chuckle were like a cupid arrow that hit Daniel straight in his heart, and he sighed before ruffling his hair.

"I can’t believe this beautiful girl is going to dance with me at the fresher’s party. I am sure most of the boys are going to be jealous of me, especially that council head’s son," Daniel said, and hearing Aditya’s name, Elliana’s smile faltered slightly before she sighed.

What everyone didn’t notice was that there was one more guy who was smitten by her beauty and was doing his best to hide behind the pretense of looking at other dresses, but no matter how much he pretended, his gaze was moving to Elliana again and again.

It was as if her beauty was some kind of magnet that was attracting his attention towards it.

"Alcinder? Why are you not saying anything? This dress was your choice. Was Elliana able to pull off the color as you said?" Daniel said, and Elliana looked at Alcinder from under her lashes.

"She looks okay," Alcinder nodded.

"A compliment wouldn’t have hurt," Daniel rolled his eyes before walking to Elliana and cupping her cheeks before he pulled them.

"My cute little partner. We are getting this dress for sure. Do you want to check out other dresses?" Daniel asked, and Elliana shook her head.

"I don’t want to. Let’s get this over with. I have an important thing to do before it’s too late," Elliana said before she looked at her friends, who paused and looked at her suspiciously.

"I mean, I will get hungry soon," Elliana covered, and everyone shook their heads at her.

Elliana took a deep breath, and they moved to the men’s section to shop for the boys after the girls changed back into their normal clothes.
