After dancing with Samantha because all boys were scared to approach her, Elliana finally walked out of the dance hall.

So far, 8 boys have dared to propose to her, and she was now confused. Honestly, she didn’t want to go with any of them, but wouldn’t it look a bit awkward if she didn’t go with any?

It is a prom, and it’s bound to leave her first expression of her on the entire crowd that would be coming to the prom. This was the first party of her college life, and she didn’t want to blow it like all the parties in her past life.

Elliana sighed when Daniel walked to her.

"How is my favorite human doing?" He asked, and Elliana shrugged before looking at him weirdly.

He smelt nice.

She sniffed her nose before stepping closer to him, and Daniel, who noticed this, chuckled at her innocent behavior.

What she doesn’t know is that her behavior isn’t as innocent as she thinks. Someone might think she is making a move on that person just because she wants to take a better whiff of their scent.

Daniel, who was walking a step ahead of Elliana, suddenly stopped and stepped in front of her, making her bump into his chest.

It almost felt like her nose hit some kind of brick wall, and she looked up with tears in her eyes.

"Why would you do that?" She asked, feeling wronged.

"You were trying to smell my scent, so I thought I would stop and let you smell it freely," Daniel said before realizing how wrong the sentence sounded, and heat crept up his neck.

"I didn’t mean to say it like that -"

"Why do you smell like flowers?" Elliana asked, and Daniel sighed in relief.

Of course, the girl was too dumb to think about things like that.

"I don’t know. Anyway, do you know where Alcinder is? I had been trying to find him, but the last anyone saw him was when he danced with you in the cafe," Daniel said, and Elliana shrugged before they started walking again.

"I don’t know. How was your preparation? Alex told me you were busy with something," Elliana looked at Daniel, and he scratched the back of his head before chuckling awkwardly.

"Don’t tell this to anyone, but I was actually helping in the staff room for the freshers’ party. This is one of my punishments for sneaking out of the classes," Daniel said, and Elliana smiled at him.

"So you guys get into trouble too. I thought it was only for normal students without a strong background, like us," Elliana teased, and he rolled his eyes.

"So, are you leaving?" Daniel asked.

"The classes have ended. What do you expect me to do, Daniel? Wait here and play hide and seek with ghosts at night?" Elliana chuckled and stepped out of the main building.

However, as soon as she did that, her eyes went wide, and she looked at the scene in front of her in pure amazement.

A large crowd was gathered in the front. Everyone was talking about who could’ve done this.

"Damn, someone tried really hard," Samantha commented from behind them, and Elliana hummed in agreement.

In front of her, a large heart was made from red flowers. These weren’t roses, for sure. They were the wildflowers present in the forest behind the university.

The outline of the heart was gone with marigold flowers, and in the middle of it, a question was beautifully written with blue rose petals.

"Will you go on a prom with me?" Elliana read before scrunching her brows.

No. She didn’t read it. She heard it.

She turned to her left, where Daniel was standing, and noticed him sitting on one knee now.

There was a banner in his hand that asked the same question as that heart and -

"You did all this?" Elliana asked, and he scratched the back of his head boyishly, making Samanth hoot for him.

"What are you waiting for, girl? He has been making preparations and everything since morning. Now you might think that since he is a mayor’s son, he got someone to do it for him, but let me tell you, he did everything all by himself, even picking the flowers and creating this childish banner," Alex walked to them.

Now she understood everything. Daniel left right at the start of the lunch.

When it was time for dance, Alex approached her and said it was all because he didn’t want people to annoy her, the same thing that Daniel says most of the time, and now Daniel was reeking of flowers.

"This is beautiful. Thank you," Elliana said, and Daniel smiled.

"Well, if you find this so beautiful, mind saying yes?" Daniel asked.

"Of course, I would go for you. No one has ever done anything like this for me," her words were loud and clear.

Aditya and Madeline, who were passing by the exit to go to the parking lot, looked at the commotion and watched what was going on.

Aditya’s gaze was focused on the girl, who looked genuinely happy. He doesn’t even remember when was the last time he saw her smiling like this. She almost looked angelic.

No one has ever done something like this for her? Of course, he knows that, and he regrets every second of not doing anything for her.

"She is really going out to woo all the high-power vampires, no? I wonder how that ugly prince even allows her to do all this. Either he doesn’t care about her and his reputation at all, or he just can’t be bothered with it," Madeline commented, and Aditya looked at her before sighing.

Honestly, from the moment Elliana returned to their life by entering this college, he had seen new faces of Madeline that he had never seen before.

Now that he looks at her, the purity and innocence, along with the presence of mind and quick-wittedness that he once noticed, were all gone. It was replaced with this cunning and vile vibes that she oozed all the time.

"Let’s go, or I’ll be late for the meeting," Aditya said, and Madeline hummed before looking at the girl, who was supposed to live a pathetic life being so happy.

She clenched her fists and followed Aditya to his car.

"Thank you for saying yes. I can’t even imagine how embarrassing it would’ve been if you had said no," Daniel said, and everyone chuckled at his choice of words.

"Why would I say no? You are one of my good friends here, and I needed someone for the prom -"

"That’s enough. You don’t need to explain. Let’s not blow my cover, yeah?" Daniel said, and Elliana scrunched her brows whole Samantha chuckled before smacking the back of her head.

"There’s nothing she can say to blow your cover. Everyone already knows that she has just said yes to the prom. You are still a friend to her," Samantha said, and Elliana nodded, making Daniel sigh.

"It’s okay. I should be happy with that, no? One step at a time," Daniel said, and Elliana was about to ask him what he was talking about when Alcinder walked out of the building and pushed a few balloons in Samantha’s hand.

"Go on the prom with me," He said, and Samantha raised her brows at him.

"For me?" Samantha asked, her heart increasing its pace, and Alcinder rolled his eyes.

"Do you see me giving this to anyone else? You love balloons, don’t you? If you don’t, give it back -"

"What are you doing? They are mine!" Samantha yanked her hand away from Alcinder, who looked at her amused.

"Alcinder, you are really a petty vampire, aren’t you? Who threatens to take a gift away after giving it? You should learn something from your friend," Elliana said to Alcinder.

Alcinder - "..."

"Wait. Why is that my fault again?" Alcinder asked, and Elliana just shook her head at him disapprovingly, making everyone chuckle at Alcinder’s annoyed face.

"Does it look funny to you? She always finds a way to annoy and irritate me. I can’t be with her," Alcinder ruffled Elliana’s hair.

"Hey!" She scowled, swatting away his hand, and Daniel placed his hand over her shoulder to pull her away from Alcinder because it almost looked like she wanted to bite him to avenge herself.

As they all were laughing and chatting, unknown to them, Sebastian was watching the scene replay in front of him with a heavy cold look on his face.

"Damn, our princess’ popularity is no joke. I think Miss Zoya was right. She will have all the boys dance on her little finger. Look how the mayor’s son proposed to her for a dance," Lucas said before turning to Ambrose.

"That guy practically looks at our princess with adoration. What will he do when he confesses to her? He picked all the flowers and did all of it himself? Huh, it must feel good to be young and carefree, no? I won’t be surprised if our princess ends up with a boyfriend or boyfriend soon. She is so cute that -"

*Cough* *cough* Ambrose coughed twice to remind Lucas that they weren’t sitting alone, and Lucas gulped before looking at the man, who motioned at him to look behind.

With great difficulty and fear, Lucas turned his head and looked at the prince, his blood running cold when he felt the vibes of Antarctica.

"You are having too much fun with this, aren’t you?" Sebastian asked Lucas, and then he immediately chuckled awkwardly.

"I was just kidding, sir. These boys stand no chance in front of you. I was only talking about the time when you’ll leave, princess. At least she will have someone to care for her, no?" Lucas said, and Sebastian’s face turned even graver than before.
