Chapter 589: He grabbed her by neck

Chapter 589: He grabbed her by neck

"No. Please don’t say it like that. I... I -" Azura stuttered, not knowing what to say.

"Say what? It’s the truth," Sebastian said before he walked to King Eros and grabbed the man’s hand.

"King Sebastian!" Azura raised her voice thinking he was going to harm her husband because he was the reason Elliana didn’t come back.

Sebastian raised his black eyes, immediately shutting her off before he looked at the man once again.

"I am your daughter’s husband. Sebastian Marino," Sebastian introduced himself briefly before he closed his eyes to focus on the task.

Meanwhile, Elliana, who had been losing her Magna and was hoping for some kind of help from her mother or Nathaniel to provide a little more Magna, felt a sudden jerk in her body before she was thrown on her own fire of hell, making her gasp.

The fire didn’t get attached to her, but it didn’t mean it didn’t burn her.

A wince left her mouth before she looked around helplessly, trying to feel the familiar feeling of connection with the real world. Even when the bond with Nathaniel broke, she could still feel a vague feeling of being connected to the real world, but suddenly...

What was happening? Why was she not able to feel the path to go back anymore? Dread settled in her heart.

Something definitely happened. No. No. No. If the path has gone, how was she supposed to go back? She didn’t know anything about it. Elliana’s heartbeat increased its pace while Azrael smirked in front of her.

"Now where will you go? How will you save yourself, dear Elliana? Honestly, you are just wasting your magna like this. You should just come back with me when you can. It won’t look good if I have to drag a little girl by her hair, would it?" Azrael asked, pretending to be innocent and caring.

Elliana scoffed, wiping more blood from her mouth as she clenched her fists by her side to control the pain she was feeling.

"I would rather die than come to you willingly. Do I not know why you want to take me with you? If I have to die either way, why will I die at the hands of an evil witch who wants nothing but the destruction of my family? Am I a fool?" Elliana scoffed.

Azrael smirked at Elliana.

"It’s amazing, you know. Even after you can see that you are on the losing side and do not have any way out, you are still so arrogant and confident," Azrael whispered before she crouched down to Elliana’s level, a little bit away from her hell’s fire.

"Or perhaps, do you have other plans in mind? Could it be related to the ice dragon? Do you really think you can call that dragon back and get out of here? You caught me off guard once. You won’t be able to do it again," Azrael said, and Elliana looked around herself, the blood collecting around her, scaring her too.

However, she knew there was no space for fear here. The moment her hell’s fire caught on her fear, it would feed on it just like predator-prey and would become weak.

Surrounded by a tough opponent like Azrael, becoming weak wasn’t even an option.

Azrael looked into the girl’s resilient eyes and when she noticed that the little girl wasn’t going to give up anytime soon, she raised her hand and smirked.

"You are safe in this circle of hell’s fire. I can’t come inside it, nor do you have plans to come outside. But what will you do if I attack you from above? Do you have plans for that?" Azrael asked, catching Elliana off-guard.

Elliana looked up instinctively and Azrael smirked.

There was nothing like that. Since she was worried about her powers coming in contact with the hell’s fire, there was no way she would take a risk as big as this one. But it definitely worked against Elliana.

Seeing her distracted, Azrael was about to find a way to distract Elliana’s hell fire when she saw a white light appear out of nowhere.

"Elliana Minerva, come back to me," Elliana heard a voice, and to Azrael’s horror, Elliana’s body disappeared into thin air right in front of her.

Azrael looked around, her eyes wide.

What happened?! Where did she go? How is that even possible? Azrael closed her eyes and used her magic to follow where Elliana disappeared.

There was no way Elliana went back to where Azura was. The path was broken and there was no way of following it. and she was sure it wasn’t teleportation that she used. Nor did some other witch summon Elliana.

Azrael gulped, her theories only proving wrong when she saw where she was reaching.

Back in the magical realism, the girl who had been provoked by Elliana immediately looked at the burning magical realism and used her magic to escape and run to one witch she knew could help her.

As soon as she teleported herself to where Prakrith was, she fell forward, unable to handle herself anymore.

"Ari!" Prakrith saw the girl, whose secrets only she knew about, and reached forward to help her.

Prakrith noticed Ari’s disheveled form, and a sense of worry covered her face.

"What happened, Ari? What’s wrong? Who did this to you? Tell me, who bullied you?" Prakrith said.

Ari gasped for air, breathing with difficulty because of the smoke she inhaled in the magical realism, the smoke of the hell’s fire that was nothing less than a poison within itself.

Ari looked at the concerned witch and gulped.

"Do you really think you will be able to mess with the witch if I tell you her name?" Ari asked.

Prakrith could see that whoever this witch was, was definitely strong enough for Ari to say things like these.

"Tell me the name. I will definitely seek justice for you. So what if your mom isn’t here? I am here," Prakrith said and Ari sighed.

"Elliana," Ari said and Prakrith’s eyes widened.

"Elliana did this to you?" Prakrith asked.

Ari looked down at her feet before shaking her head.

After drinking some water, she told Prakrith everything that happened and noticed how Prakrith’s eyes widened and lit up visibly when she heard Elliana was able to free King Eros.

Prakrith smiled as she crouched down in happiness.

"I knew. I knew if there was anyone in this world who could free the king, it would be Elliana. She... She really faced it all herself. I am so proud of her," Prakrith felt emotional about the achievement of the girl that she looked over for 18 long years along with the other witches.

Ari looked at Prakrith’s expression and a hint of disdain appeared in her eyes.

"For someone who was going to help me, you are very happy for another girl. Are you that happy that she took away the man that my mom loved so much and kept with herself for so many years?" Ari asked.

Prakrith stood up from her place and nodded her head.

"You won’t believe it but if you had been in my place, you would’ve been equally happy. Your mom didn’t keep the king with her by his choice. She was keeping him as a slave. Aren’t you happy that an innocent person got released? Honestly, you shouldn’t think bad about that girl. She might be the only person who can free your mom too. Maybe if things turned out well, you all will be able to live together?" Prakrith said before sighing.

What was she thinking? There was no way this was possible. Ari wasn’t someone who was born legally. The way she was born and the tricks Queen Arizona used to give birth to her... There was no way Queen Azura would forgive Queen Arizona for what she did and years of pain.

Living together? She was afraid that the first thing Queen Azura would do might include starting a battle against Arizona just for the same reason.

"Is that true? Can Elliana help free my mom?" Ari asked with hope in her eyes and Prakrith pressed her lips into a thin line, feeling bad for saying things like these.

"Why don’t you go have a rest first? Judging from what you told me, I am afraid Elliana took quite a blow this time," Prakrith said and Ari nodded before leaving and going inside her hidden room where Arizona kept her hidden for so long.

Back in the black forests, Sebastian extended his hand, clenching his jaws when he smelt the thick scent of his wife’s blood before her arrival.

His eyes became stern when he felt the presence of someone along with his wife’s presence.

He immediately sat on the ground, seeing her burnt and bruised form in his arms.

"Do you really think you can run away from me, Elliana? I have already gone through so much. I won’t let you go this time," Azrael raised her voice before she raised her hand and attacked Elliana with a spear of her magic.

However, that spear couldn’t even cut through Elliana’s personal space as Sebastian held the spear in his hands, shocking everyone.

They knew that witch powers didn’t affect Sebastian, but was he really able to hold magic in his hand like this?

"What did you say? You will take my wife away from my hands?" Sebastian raised his gaze before he stood from his place, ensuring Elliana was tightly wrapped in his embrace.

"You dare to hurt my wife to this extent?" Sebastian walked straight to Azrael before he grabbed the witch’s throat and raised her in the air.

If what happened earlier was shocking to everyone, they couldn’t digest what they were seeing now.
