The Masked Vampire King's Accidental Bride -
Chapter 571: Biased nature
Chapter 571: Biased nature
Elliana looked above her, the blue color of the flames burning right above her, glinting in her violet eyes, making them even more enchanting.
"You think I am some kind of destructive power. That’s why you didn’t even bother to check if I could get hurt.
Your teachers break the conduct of privacy, your students break the rules, but in the end, I am the wrong one because I dare to fight alone without anyone’s support?" Elliana asked the dean, who averted his gaze.
Elliana stood from her place and smiled at the dean.
"Do you want to know why I didn’t attack Charlotte till now? Because I didn’t want her to get hurt terribly. Time after time she kept bad-mouthing me and cursing my relationship with Nathaniel, but I held it in.
I absorbed her magna to calm my raging heart so that I didn’t end up hurting her.
Why didn’t you say anything at that time? I am sure you aren’t deaf to have not heard that. Or are you?" Elliana asked before she looked at the rest of the teachers.
Elliana scoffed at them. It was a mistake to expect any help from these people who have hypocrisy in their blood and powers.
For them, she would always be an outsider. They won’t help her even if she wins the battle against Caesar with the bet for them to share their magna with her.
A Magna shared with negative emotions and forced powers would only harm her in the end. That’s what she heard when she was passing by the witch Madonna, who probably knew what she was up to.
"Do you know why I was going ahead with the battle despite the humiliating words?" Elliana asked.
"It’s because I promised my husband I would return with no worrying wounds and probably winning the trophy in my hand. The winning trophy would be the promise of you guys sharing your Magna with me that would help me live a little longer because I will be dead in two months," Elliana smiled before sighing.
Her words caught everyone off guard. What did she mean she was dying?
"Charlotte, you asked why everyone favors me, no? It’s because I was declared dead before I was even born. And for 18 long years, people have been trying to kill the humanity inside of me by testing my patience and emotions. That’s why some good souls take pity on me and love me," Elliana stood from her place.
She raised her hand, opening her palm towards the sky.
"Absorben," she whispered and absorbed the Magna of the thousands of fire blades right above her, her heart thumping loudly at the overbearing Magna.
"I wouldn’t want a Magna full of ugly emotions either," Elliana closed her eyes before she looked at the shield formed around the battlefield created by a few 10th-grade witches.
"Attack," Elliana said, and as soon as she said those words, Circe took over her briefly, moving her hands to perform the witchcraft.
Crack! The slight sound echoed in the entire area, making people look at each other.
The shield around the battlefield started cracking, immediately alerting all the 10th-grade witches who had helped in forming this shield along with those powerful witches.
They started appearing in front of her one by one.
Kadakali, Karizana, Jalizana, Vanazana, Prakrith, Madonna, Lin, Arthur, Carter, Blaze, and all the witches started to appear in the battle zone, their eyes widening when they saw the shield breaking.
The parents and other teachers in the audience who never got the opportunity to meet or even see these powerful witches, looked at each other in surprise.
The domineering energies started to increase in the middle of the battle of the field.
The less powerful teachers started to step back, maintaining a safe distance from these legends that Elliana summoned without even performing any summoning spell.
"Who dared to break this shield?!" The 11th-grade witch, Blaze, was the first one to speak, looking around with his smoldering blue eyes.
A few people flinched at the anger in his voice.
The dean, who was too shocked to speak seeing the girl breaking the magna shield of so many witches with just one click of her fingers, looked at Elliana who was standing there, still unfazed after what she did.
"Woah, this girl is terrific. I kind of feel glad I didn’t fight against her. I think she is right. If she had used even 20% is this attack power on Charlotte, she would’ve been long dead. Piercing a shield is something that even our dean won’t be able to do," Serene chuckled, her gaze shifting to Caesar, who was going to fight her next if the battle continued.
"That would be me," Elliana looked straight into the elder witch’s eyes, unapologetic.
"This little girl did that?" Blaze looked at the shield before looking back at Elliana, unsure.
Madonna, who was summoned, rolled her eyes and just sighed.
"I am out of this. Elliana, don’t use too much Magna on this sh*t. You will feel tired afterward," Madonna smiled at the girl in the end before she vanished again, surprising everyone with her choice of words.
Then again, what could they really expect from a witch who was able to maintain a healthy relationship with the monster of the vampire even when every other witch was hated by him?
"I seriously can’t even understand what goes inside that woman’s head anymore," Arthur, another 10th-grade witch said, while the ladies and ruler of the respective elemental powers who were working directly under Arizona and knew what Elliana was capable of, sighed.
"Are we seriously not going to do anything against her? This is a serious matter," Carter glared at Elliana, stepping ahead.
However, as soon as he did that, they felt a cold wind swoosh around them, making them step back.
"Against who?" A cold voice full of venom and lethal darkness asked, and Carter immediately took another step back, surprised.
There was no way he would dare to appear here, right?
The dean and those influential witches who recognized the voice had the same thought.
Elliana, who also felt his presence, immediately felt tears brimming her eyes when she realized how lonely she was feeling until now.
Though she was appearing strong to everyone, only she knew how weak she was in her heart.
He looked at the girl in front of him, a sigh leaving his mouth before he pulled her in for a hug, placing her head on his chest.
Elliana immediately broke down in his arms.
"I am sorry. I swear I tried to be nice and bear it but I couldn’t. They don’t treat me equally. Why do I have to always suffer and go through this?" Elliana cried in his arms, and Sebastian, whose bleeding wounds were healing slowly, didn’t say anything.
He was returning from the battle and was quite wounded because of the missiles that the humans were using when Madonna appeared right in front of him and told him what was happening in the witch University with his wife.
To say he was angered would be an understatement.
He wanted to behead the person who treated his wife like that. However, Madonna warned him that it would only work against Elliana. They needed Magna at the moment and going against any witch wasn’t the best option for them.
He was the one who urged her to send him here and Madonna helped him through it without a doubt.
She knew he would hunt down all those witches and kill them one by one if she didn’t help him at that moment.
"Ssshhhh, I am here," Sebastian said, his beast roaring inside him, his eyes turning red from anger.
If there was one thing that was unbearable for his beast to see, it was seeing his wife sad and crying. And today, not only did they try to play against her again and again, but they hurt her mentally.
She was doing this all because she wanted to live longer with him. Was it a sin to expect something from your own species? To expect a little help?
Sebastian’s gaze turned to glare before he bent and picked his wife into his arms, who was still sniffing in his arms.
Sebastian took a deep breath.
"My wife has been cursed with an unmentionable spell and she won’t get to live after two months if we don’t act against it and collect magna for her," Sebastian said, keeping his cool.
"She didn’t need to come here or prove anything to anyone. The reason she came here was because she wanted to win that final battle of the bet. She wanted to ask you guys to help her a little by sharing a little of your Magna with her.
If 500 witches shared only 100 days’ worth of Magna with her, it would be so much more. However, you guys proved to her that the species who couldn’t accept their own people would never help her. Thanks for clearing her delusions," Sebastian said, looking straight into the eyes of those 10th-grade witches, who looked away, still too proud.
He shook his head.
"I, Sebastian Marino, as the husband and guardian of Elliana Minerva, withdraw her from this university of biased practices," Sebastian turned around, ready to leave.
"Who said no one is going to help her? I will," They heard another cold voice, void of emotions.
Prakrith stepped ahead, followed by Kadakali.
"We are helping too," Jalizana and Karizana joined hands too.
"I protected her and looked over her all my life and know how hard her life has been. I would be better off with no powers if I couldn’t use them to help this girl. I will give up my 20 years’ worth of Magna for her without a doubt," Vanazana said, making Sebastian not at them gratefully.
"Hey, are you guys forgetting me?" They heard before another person appeared, and everyone looked at the strange man, who clicked his hands to remove his cloak.
"Your one and only," Pluto smirked.
