Chapter 572: The lethal attack
"What? Have you forgotten about me? Now that makes me feel bad," Pluto walked to where Sebastian was standing with Elliana in his arms.
Without a fear in the world, he grabbed Elliana’s hand, kissing the back of her hand.
"I am sure I don’t need to introduce myself to you guys, right?" Pluto asked, his eyes turning violet when he felt how provoked Elliana’s powers were.
"And here I thought I came too early. Just what did you guys do to provoke her energies at this level?" Pluto turned, his gaze meeting with the dean, who immediately looked down at his feet, ashamed.
There was no doubt to them that Pluto, apart from Nathaniel, though being the youngest was one of the greatest 11th-grade witches who attained these powers at a young age and was once called a prodigy kid.
No one dared to say anything against him, as he gazed at everyone one by one, his gaze finally settling on the wounded girl in the vampire king’s hand.
He could understand what she must be feeling.
Life hasn’t been easy for her in any way, and to suffer this kind of treatment... He knew all too well what it felt like to have been treated like that.
"Don’t cry, sweet Elliana. Nothing here is worth your tears, you understand that?" Pluto asked, making Sebastian tighten his hold on Elliana when he felt her fist holding his overcoat even tighter than before.
It was clear she didn’t want to talk to anyone at the moment and only wanted to be with him.
And somehow, the others felt her emotions too.
"Take her back. I will handle things here. It’s my mistake to think that nothing would go wrong at a university battle. Nathaniel had asked me to come here and watch everything from the beginning. He was worried that Elliana would cause a ruckus, but who would’ve thought that a little girl had more morals than such powerful witches?" Pluto whispered before he looked at all the elder witches.
"Then again, I was expecting so much more from some heartless souls who stopped using their emotions long ago. No wonder the dark witches are worthy of more recognition," Pluto scoffed.
Sebastian was about to turn around and leave when Caesar immediately stepped ahead.
"I want to say something," Caesar said, catching everyone’s attention.
"Who is he?" Elder witch, Blaze, asked and the dean filled them in.
"What do you want to say, little boy?" Carter asked.
"I still want to have this battle with Elliana. If I was to lose today, I would do it happily. It would be far better than getting that trophy without fighting because she withdrew. She can use whatever magic she wants on me. I will try to counter the best I can," Caesar said before looking at the dean since he wasn’t able to face the vampire king due to his overbearing aura.
"I have wished to win this trophy for a long time and worked hard my entire year. This... It won’t be acceptable if I get this trophy just like that. It will lose its meaning. My hard work will lose its value. I know it’s a little selfish of me to think like that, but..." Caesar said, looking at Elliana again, hoping she would say yes.
She didn’t say anything for a few seconds and Caesar sighed.
However, after some time and rubbing her nose on Sebastian’s shirt, making the guy smile, Elliana finally lifted her head and looked at her husband.
"I will do it," Elliana whispered softly.
"Are you sure about it?" Sebastian asked, and Elliana nodded.
"I can understand where he is coming from. It would be a good battle. This way, I will also be sure that whatever help I am getting is what I earned from fighting and is not something people are doing out of pity," Elliana wiped the little moisture in her eyes and jumped down from Sebastian’s arms.
"Get in the field. We shall decide the winner immediately," Elliana said, looking at Caesar.
"Are you ready?" She asked, and everyone looked at Caesar, who nodded.
Everyone already knew who was going to win the fight if she put all her energy into this but it was commendable how Caesar still wanted to finish this battle fair.
Elliana raised her hand, immediately creating another shield.
She didn’t want to rely on any other elder to create this shield, her actions making everyone look away.
"Attack me," Elliana said.
"You will not absorb my Magna, will you?" Caesar asked, and Elliana shook her head.
"Trust me, I won’t. I didn’t want Charlotte’s Magna like this either. However, I had to punish her for the words she was using against me," Elliana said, and Caesar nodded.
"You can do this," Sebastian said to his wife before he kissed her hair, patting her head softly, making her smile, her expression turning soft for a minuscule second when she looked at him before she went back to her neutral look.
"Attack," Elliana said.
Caesar immediately clapped his hands before closing his eyes.
As soon as Caesar did that, a large Tsunami wave formed in the air.
Sebastian looked at the water wave that was moving ahead so quickly to drown his wife and his fists clenched.
Elliana clicked her fingers and the wave that was proceeding towards her, immediately took the form of a tornado, surprising everyone.
She didn’t counter the wave or Caesar’s attack, but she made it even more dangerous. But why? They wondered altogether.
However, their questions were soon answered when they saw the tornado moving back toward Caesar.
If the energy thrown by the witch overpowers the witch’s capabilities, the power repulses and attacks back, their reacting impact even louder than before.
Caesar immediately raised both of his hands in the air. The ground started moving, creating a large wooden shield in front of him that immediately dissipated the tornado, making everyone sigh in relief.
Caesar clicked his fingers making the wall disappear. However, making it disappear just like that would only waste his energy. Thus, he immediately turned the wall into thousands of sharp blades, throwing the blades toward Elliana, who smiled back.
She looked up towards all the blades before she raised her hands and those blades immediately went back to their original form or dust, moving away with the gust of wind.
Caesar sighed. He could see Elliana was really a tough opponent.
He clicked his fingers again before he jumped down from his cubicle and made an invisible Circle with his hands. He punched the invisible Circle, making large piercing rings of water appear out of nowhere and move towards Elliana.
Elliana also jumped down from her cubicle and raised her hand creating the same invisible circle. However, rather than punching the circle since unlike Caesar, her elemental powers were not fixed, she let it float.
Elliana raised herself, jumping in the air briefly, the cloak she was wearing moving along the wind as her hair loosened, making her even more enchanting as she whispered some soft words.
The water rings that were about to touch her immediately turned into soft droplets as her circle expanded and engulfed it like a large amoeba, the drops falling to her feet.
Seeing this, Caesar understood that most of the elemental powers respect Elliana for some unknown reason, and he was left with no choice but to use his last resort.
"Lethal!" Caesar said, and Elliana squinted her brows when she felt the ground under her foot moving.
She didn’t know what kind of attack he was going to make this time. She wasn’t able to read anyone’s thoughts anymore.
Elliana looked around, the vibrations confusing her powers too as they looked around with her.
’Circe,’ Elliana whispered to check up on her powers and see what was going on.
’Give us some time, Elliana. We are trying to figure out what kind of attack this is,’ Circe replied and Elliana nodded.
She was slightly at fault for this. Circe and her mother have been warning her to train her powers against new techniques, but she hasn’t been able to find the optimum time for it.
Most of the time either she was relaxing and conspiring against those witches or busy with her husband. Though her getting hurt again and again was also responsible for it, she didn’t want to blame those factors when she didn’t want to train herself either.
Everyone was out of the field and shield, and thus, they had no idea what kind of attack Elliana was feeling since they couldn’t see anything with the naked eye apart from the fact that Elliana’s expression didn’t look too good.
"What is happening there?" One of the parents asked the teachers who were standing on the sidelines.
"As far as I know, Caesar is probably taking out his unique lethal attack that he hasn’t used even once in all the battles. He probably was saving this attack for his final battle," One of the teachers said.
"Or maybe he had no intention to use this attack against her. He hadn’t mastered this technique completely. This technique -" The other teacher didn’t complete his words as they heard a loud roar, making the parents in the audience gasp.
As soon as the roar resounded, Elliana’s eyes widened, as out of nowhere, a large dragon made of water appeared from her side and raised her in the air, throwing her on the ground harshly.
"Princess!" Sebastian stood from his place, looking at his wife who was coughing blood.
