Chapter 557: Sparring before battle
Elliana breathed heavily, looking at her husband with tearful eyes, her expression troubled while Sebastian smirked at her, wiping the sweat from his forehead.
"Did you enjoy it?" Sebastian asked, the expression on his wife’s face a bit too easy to read.
He could see that this wasn’t enough for her, and even though she was tired, she would ask for another round.
"Should I take you back to bed now? This position has been making you quite tired for the past few seconds," Sebastian cupped her cheeks.
Elliana scoffed and swatted his hand away, making her look like a cute angry kitten and Sebastian chuckled lightly.
"Come on, Princess-"
"Don’t you dare show me any pity, Mr. Marino! Let’s go for another round. I am not tired. You will see how much stamina I have this time," Elliana said, provoking his beast for the third time in a single hour.
Sebastian smirked.
He looked at his wife, his hand touching her naked waist before he pulled her close, her chest bumping into him, making him smile and pinching her chin again.
It had been two hours since they had been sparring with each other, using whatever method and thing they could, changing their techniques with each battle.
Since it was her battle day at the Witch’s University, Elliana wanted Sebastian to teach her some good techniques.
Though she was a witch, she didn’t want to rely on her powers only. She didn’t want people to think she was all that just because of her powers that she got from her parents and that siren queen as a keepsake.
The last time Misha was telling them all about the curse of holding the siren powers inside her and how she would die in two months if not treated right, Mr. Marino had something about the witches being able to share their magna with her because she was a pure absorber. Elliana wanted to hold onto that hope and use it for her own benefit.
Betting was legal in such battles since it was all up to the students.
As her side of the deal, Elliana wanted to ask help from all the powerful witches inside the witch’s University to share their magna with her.
Arizona’s stolen powers, some of her mother’s powers, Nathaniel’s powers, and some of the dark witches’ powers only weren’t enough to protect her against the repulsion of the siren queen’s powers who would want to unleash and shred her to pieces.
However, the powers of an entire Witch University would definitely make a difference.
"Yeah? If that’s what you want, I have other ways in mind for you to show me your stamina, Cara," Sebastian’s evil mischievous gaze made Elliana blush scarlet red before she pushed him, making the man chuckle aloud and stumble back before he stepped close to her, sat on his knees and tightened her gear around her knees.
"Don’t forget your safety. Last round," Sebastian told Elliana, who hummed before standing in a fighting stance.
"Come at me first this time. I have noticed a few weak points in your way of fighting. This time I will tell you how to attack in a much better way," Sebastian said to Elliana, who hummed, her brows drawn in concentration.
"Attack!" Sebastian said.
Elliana didn’t waste a single second in launching herself on Sebastian, her fists only half in the air when Sebastian used his vampire speed to stop her, throwing her on the padded mat, and making her groan.
"Cara, are you okay?" Sebastian immediately asked, and Elliana nodded before she quickly stood and looked at the side wall.
She used her witch powers and rushed to the wall, surprising Sebastian because the moment he looked at the wall, Elliana appeared right behind him, swinging her fists at him.
Sebastian sensed her presence because of their mark and was barely able to protect himself when Elliana used her powers again, appearing on his left side this time, raising her legs in the air and hitting his shoulders, making the man wince slightly and jump backward at the impact.
Sebastian turned to his left side, grabbing Elliana’s hand, and was about to push her away when she used her magical powers again and vanished into thin air.
"This time I won’t come in your traps, Mr. Marino. I went too soft on you the last few times," Elliana said.
Sebastian smiled at his wife’s playful words.
"Is that so, Cara? Let’s see how long you will be able to protect yourself from my clutches," Sebastian said.
Elliana grinned before she clicked her fingers, making a small cloud appear right above Sebastian.
"Princess, what are you doing seriously?" He asked, thinking she was wasting some of her Magna on him when she clearly knew a witch’s power was useless against him.
However, she clicked her fingers again, making it rain just above him, appearing right in front of him with a soft childish smile.
Sebastian, who hadn’t expected her to act like that mid-sparring, looked at his girl, a smile appearing on his face when he saw her carefree look.
"Seriously?" He asked, ruffling his hair softly.
Elliana, who was smiling earlier, felt her throat tighten when she saw the beautiful sight in front of her, her heartbeat started to increase when she noticed the drops of water rolling down his perfect chest.
Her eyes started to shine brightly, a change that didn’t go unnoticed by Sebastian, who chuckled at her.
While Elliana was busy gazing at the mouth-watering sight, Sebastian used his vampire speed and appeared right in front of her, snaking his hand around her waist, pulling her under the same cloud as water dripped down both of their bodies.
"Just because you are the witch here, doesn’t mean only you get to enjoy such sights," he commented before gripping her chin between his index finger and thumb.
"Mr. Marino," Elliana whispered.
"Hmm?" Sebastian asked.
"You lost," Elliana said, and Sebastian furrowed his brows, his pupils dilating a bit when he felt something sharp pointed at his abdomen.
He looked down at her hand which had a dagger pressing against his skin.
"A dagger?" Sebastian asked and Elliana smiled.
"Didn’t you say? We can use our powers. I used my powers to make a dagger of pure ice," Elliana whispered before she used the heat in her hand, melting the dagger immediately.
Sebastian quirked his brows at her before a proud smile appeared on his face.
"Well, what can I say? You clearly won this round," Sebastian whispered before placing his forehead on hers, pulling her even closer.
"And now that we agreed to your sparring and rounds of battles, shall we do some of what I had in mind?" He asked, licking the water dripping down her chin, pressing his abdomen against her.
"Mr. Marino. I have to leave for the battle in a couple of hours. Do you think I would be able to do well?" Elliana asked.
Sebastian, who was being funny with her just to improve her mood, sighed.
"You will do great, Cara," Sebastian said.
However, he could see that nothing he said would make any difference. His princess was scared, scared of not being powerful enough.
"What if I don’t win this battle?" Elliana asked.
The base of her entire plan to keep herself safe depended on this winning. If she won’t be able to curry favors from those witches and get them to help her, she doesn’t know if there is any other way to keep herself alive.
Elliana bit her lower lip, her eyes brimming with tears as anxiousness started to cloud her mind.
"Hey, baby, look at me," Sebastian cupped her cheeks between his hands, forcing her to look up.
"Everything would be alright, sweetheart. I know why you are so serious about this fight, but don’t be. Didn’t I tell you I will do anything in my power to make it right? You are not dying on me, Cara. This is my promise to you.
All the witches will help you in sharing their magna and unlock your 9th and 10th lock and you will get to live. Do you understand?" Sebastian asked her, making her take a deep breath.
"But how will you -" Elliana wanted to ask, however, she stopped when she felt someone’s presence out of their training room, making Sebastian immediately turn towards the door, his gaze stern as he hid his wife behind himself.
"Princess, use your magic and get into proper attire," Sebastian ordered her, his gaze holding no funny business and only seriousness.
Elliana scrunched her brows and looked down, heat creeping up her neck when she noticed how her white bra with pink polka dots was visible under the white crop top she was wearing because of getting wet earlier.
"Ohh," Elliana whispered, making Sebastian sigh and turn to her.
"You know what-" Sebastian didn’t wait to complete his sentence and just bent, nipping her br*asts from above her clothes.
"Mr. Marino!" Elliana gasped, and Sebastian deliberately held her close, flickering his tongue on her erect n*pples.
"This will remind you that you need to stay in proper attire whenever I am not with you," Sebastian whispered, looking up at her, smiling at her before he raised himself slowly, kissing her throat while Elliana clicked her fingers and her outfit immediately changed to a dress, making Sebastian nod in approval.
