Chapter 558: Kiss under the moonlight

"By the way, who was there?" Elliana’s words snapped Sebastian out of his mischievous thoughts, and he looked towards the door of the room.

She was right.

If someone came here despite him telling everyone not to disturb him until the city was burning because he was going to spend some time sparring with his wife, it must’ve been something important.

Judging from the aura of the person, it was someone from the royal family only. He just hoped his family members weren’t there just to annoy and disturb him just because they wanted some time with the princess too.

Sebastian was about to walk towards the door when they felt the same presence as earlier, before they heard a knock on the door, making Sebastian leave Elliana’s hand and walk to the door to unlock it.

"What are you doing here, brother?" Sebastian asked as soon as he noticed who it was.

Elliana gazed at the slightly familiar figure, her gaze immediately drooping.

"I just returned from meeting the Dukes of Callisto regarding the human rogues and heard you were sparring with her here. I wanted to see how it was going," Vincenzo said, walking inside the room, and looking at Elliana.

There was an amused smile on his face.

"What is this? Is she healing too fast, or has she not gained any wounds while sparring with you? Why does it sound so hard to believe? Are you going too easy on her, Sebastian?" Vincenzo asked, making Sebastian roll his eyes at him.

"If you think he is going easy, why don’t you try one battle with me?" Elliana asked, and Sebastian, who was about to send Vincenzo away so she could rest a bit, looked at his wife.

He noticed how she used different vocabularies between him and the rest of the world.

If it had been him, she would’ve definitely said one more round like earlier, a hidden innuendo between them, but with Vincenzo, it wasn’t just sparring, it was a battle.

"Brother Vincenzo, I think you should leave. She is quite tired after sparring with me. Why would you say something like I was going easy on her to provoke her?" Sebastian tried to pacify his brother since he knew talking to Elliana was useless at the moment.

"Why should I? If she wants to spar with me, why are you stopping her? Come on, brother. Don’t tell me you are jealous of something like this?" Vincenzo asked, his gaze a mixture of amusement and seriousness about this sparring.

Meanwhile, in the royal palace hall, where Sebastian and Elliana were staying after Elliana persuaded her husband to stay, the family members who heard from one of the maids that the training room opened after Prince Vincenzo went there, looked at Prince Stephano with hope.

"What? Why do you guys always push me forward when it comes to talking to him? Do you seriously want to see them sparring so badly? What if they are busy with *cough* *cough* other business," Prince Stephano said.

"They have been fighting nonstop, Prince Stephano. The training hall is sound proof but since the window isn’t closed, some guards said they saw both the King and princess being thrown on the balcony. They are quite rough with fighting," One of the maids said.

Prince Stephano glared at the maid.

"Is that so? Why don’t you tell me the names of those guards so I can know I am paying a bunch of freeloaders who are looking at the training room rather than guarding the palace?" Prince Stephano said.

The maid who recognized the underlying threat in his voice immediately rushed away, making the man sigh and move his hand in his hair, his gaze flickering to his family who were waiting for him to start walking already.

"Uhh! I can’t believe you guys," Stephanie groaned before he looked at the fifth floor.

"Just so you guys know, this was exactly what Sebastian was talking about when he said he needed peace with his wife," Stephano used his vampire speed to reach the training hall so he could tell his family whether to come or not.

However, when he reached there and saw Elliana standing in front of Vincenzo, dressed in fighting gear while Sebastian standing at the side of the room, observing them carefully, Stephano frowned.

"What is happening here?" Stephano asked.

Sebastian was about to answer him when Vincenzo beat him to it.

"Our Princess Elliana here is challenging me for a duel because I said Sebastian was going easy on her. What do you think, brother? Who will win?" Vincenzo asked Stephano, and naturally, Stephano knew Vincenzo would win without a doubt.

But one look into Elliana’s eyes made him question his answer, and he cleared his throat.

"The best one shall win," Stephano said meticulously and Vincenzo chuckled.

"It’s been so long since I had a good battle with someone. Why don’t you call others, brother? This would be fun.

Elliana challenged me to take her three hits," Vincenzo said.

Stephano looked at Sebastian this time, asking him through his gaze what was happening.

However, Sebastian only shrugged lightly.

"The family is already waiting downstairs, hoping to see their princess spar too. How about we take this downstairs into the backyard?" Stephano asked, looking at Elliana for permission.

Vincenzo looked at Elliana, his gaze holding a meaningful glance.

"I don’t care. As long as I prove him wrong, I am fine with battling anywhere," Elliana whispered, her anger much controlled in front of the eldest prince.

Everyone agreed with the new events and Vincenzo and Stephano left the room to inform their family and make necessary arrangements.

Sebastian used this opportunity and walked to his wife, who turned to him with a childish smile again, the continuous change in her emotions, concerning him a little.

Was it just him or his princess was both suppressing and over-expressing her emotions at the same time?

"Princess, do you really want to do this?" Sebastian asked.

Elliana smiled and nodded, making him sigh.

"And you are sure you will be able to beat him?" He asked.

Elliana nodded again, making him chuckle at her confidence before he sighed and ruffled her hair slightly, bending and pecking her lips.

"Go easy on my brother, okay?" He asked, looking into her eyes with an amused expression, which was immediately reciprocated by Elliana.

"Will you give me a present if I win?" Elliana asked, a subtle excitement in her voice, and Sebastian, who was surprised by her words, nodded.

"What gift do you want, my precious Cara?" Sebastian asked, peppering her face with soft subtle kisses.

He found her a bit too cute to deny her anything.

"Will you kiss me under the moonlight after exactly two months from here if I win? A kiss of passion and my blood," Elliana asked, making Sebastian freeze in his place.

The smile on his face faltered as he looked into his wife’s eyes with utmost shock.

A kiss under the moonlight? The kiss of passion and blood consumption of a witch princess? Wasn’t it the rare blood moon on that day?
