The Masked Vampire King's Accidental Bride -
Chapter 540: Monstrous husband
Chapter 540: Monstrous husband
Elliana cleaned her mess quickly in the laboratory before discarding the containers since she didn’t want to use her magic on the chemical that might make her lose her Magna and powers.
Once she was certain that everything was okay, she unbolted the door of the laboratory, not opening it completely before going back inside.
She closed her eyes and imagined herself being in the same place as those Sirens who were captured by Mr. Marino’s team.
She could only hope that they were alive in the first place.
Everyone knew what kind of relations vampires and sirens hold.
Meanwhile, in the dungeons of the vampire Kingdom, Sebastian sat in his chair, looking at the so-called secretary of Prince Harrison who was behind this so-called rogue Vampire’s attack.
"Who is involved with you?" Sebastian asked again.
"Why don’t you get straight to the point, King Marino? Why don’t you just tell me that you want to know which brother of yours is backstabbing you guys?" The secretary scoffed.
Sebastian nodded.
"If that’s what you want me to ask, let me make it ask you clearly. Who among the second royal family is involved with you?" Sebastian asked.
The secretary in front of him scoffed.
"So you are still not going to believe that it’s indeed your family who is working against you? What are you afraid of, King Sebastian? What if I tell you the prince might be behind your wife too?" The secretary asked, wanting to see Sebastian angry or get a reaction out of him.
However, to his surprise, Sebastian didn’t react.
"Does it look like I care? The whole world can like my wife, it won’t change the truth that she is mine, that she loves me and that’s all that matters," Sebastian said.
"Now are you going to tell me the truth yourself, or should I give orders to pull tongues out of the entire second royal family? Don’t try my powers now, Neil. You know I can do it, and I am sure your boyfriend, I mean your boss wouldn’t have liked it," Sebastian said before he stood from his place and pulled his chair in front of the secretary.
He grabbed the secretary’s hand and tied it firmly before he nodded at Ambrose.
This was what he deserved after risking the life of the entire nation for some kind of pitiful revenge.
Sebastian pulled out the dagger that his wife gifted him before he opened the secretary’s shirt.
"W-what are you doing? Do you think killing me is the solution to all your problems?" The secretary tried to keep his cool even when he was scared of the look in Sebastian’s eyes.
"I am doing what is right," Sebastian placed the tip of the dagger and slid it down vertically, leaving a long cut on the man’s chest as if he was doing some kind of autopsy.
"Aaaa! You b*stard!" Neil shouted in agony when he realized the dagger was laced with vampire poison.
"B*stard? I clearly remember my mom and dad. But wait, what about Harrison? Did he remember who his real dad was? If the current one was real, he wouldn’t have let go of him so easily, then again, who would want a son like Harrison, no?" Sebastian smirked, seeing Neil’s miserable face.
"Who are you cursing?! He was far better-" He stopped speaking.
Neil clenched his jaws when he saw Ambrose coming back with a jar in his hand. It was the same jar of maggots that Sebastian had wanted the last time too but his wife’s message had stopped him from doing so.
Neil’s eyes widened when he noticed the small crawling monsters in the jar, gulping his saliva.
He wasn’t feeling too scared earlier, but now...
"Do you think you will get away with what you are doing? Does your wife know you are such a monster?" Neil said, wanting to try anything to stop this mad King from using these things on him.
Meanwhile, as soon as Elliana whispered the word for teleportation, she felt a swoosh of energy, and she was teleported to the place, making her stumble back at the negativity in the area.
She knew she was in one of the most dangerous dungeons of the vampire kingdom even before she opened her eyes.
Elliana looked straight ahead, her gaze meeting with three unfamiliar faces, but the recognition in their eyes was a clear indication that she was in the right place.
However, those people weren’t the only people who recognized her presence.
Elliana froze in her place when she felt her husband’s presence nearby. And if she felt his presence, it meant he would-
"Princess?" Sebastian immediately felt her and walked out of the cell where he was torturing the secretary.
"Princess? Sir, what are you talking about? Why would a princess come here? And how? The guard would inform us if she would come here -" Lucas stopped talking when she looked at the girl standing in the middle of the corridor, looking at them with an awkward smile.
"Hi?" Elliana asked.
Sebastian looked at the prisoners behind her and squinted his brows as he started to connect dots.
"You are here to talk to these sirens?" Sebastian asked, and Elliana had no reason to hide it from him.
She nodded again, making him sigh.
"Weren’t you supposed to be at University attending your remaining lectures because you didn’t want to take leave?" Sebastian asked.
"Well, things turned out this way," Elliana said, smiling as she scratched the back of her head.
Sebastian couldn’t help but shake his head at his naughty wife.
Now that she was a witch and knew how to do teleportation, she was getting harder to get hold of and keep track of.
He sighed and was about to massage his forehead when he looked at his hand.
Elliana looked at his blood-soaked hand and raised her brows.
"Are you here interrogating someone?" Elliana asked, the hint of excitement in her eyes, surprising everyone.
Lucas - (╥﹏╥) what happened to my innocent princess? Why is she so happy that someone is getting interrogated and tortured?
"Stay out of it. I will finish things quickly. Lucas, take your princess out -"
"I will teleport myself again," Elliana whispered shamelessly, and Sebastian sighed.
"What do you want me to do, Princess? I don’t want to show this beast side of me to you," Sebastian enquired.
Elliana stepped closer to him before holding his hand in hers.
"It scares me that you are like this. Why do you need to torture people yourself when you have people to do your work? Who are you interrogating anyway?" Elliana asked before she walked in the direction from where she saw Sebastian coming.
She followed her instinct and the scent of blood until she was finally in front of the cell.
As soon as she saw the person tied to the chair, she couldn’t help but raise her eyes in surprise.
"You?" She asked.
"That’s Harrison’s secretary. Do you know him, Princess?" Sebastian asked, and Elliana’s anger started to shoot.
’No. Keep it down, Elliana. You can’t get angry,’ Circe reminded her, making her take a deep breath.
"Of course, I know him. He is the person who transferred to the University recently. Now I know why he was in places I least expected him to be. You were following me?" Elliana asked.
"Good thing you are here too. Look at what kind of monster your husband is. Do you see this cut on my body? This isn’t the only thing he had in mind. Look at that jar in that b*stard’s hand. He was going to pour those monsters on me. Aren’t you disgusted enough? He is a cannibal of our species. How can you stay with a person like this?" The man said while groaning in pain as his blood dripped down his body.
Sebastian’s fists clenched.
He looked at his wife who was listening to this man’s shit talk so seriously.
Letting his wife see this side of him was the last thing on his mind. Seeing him fight in a battle and seeing him torturing someone like this were two completely different things.
"Princess, let’s get out of here, please. I can explain everything. This is not-" Sebastian started to catch Elliana’s attention.
However, Elliana raised her hand, making Sebastian stop as he looked at her.
"Were you really planning to leave those maggots on this man, Mr. Marino?" Elliana turned around slightly, looking directly into his eyes.
Sebastian looked at her neutral eyes which were making it hard for him to decipher if she was angry or not and didn’t know what to say.
Lucas saw his King getting into a troubled situation with their Princess and pressed his lips into a thin line.
This wasn’t right. This shouldn’t have happened. It hasn’t been long since they made up and if Princess started hating on their King again, it won’t end well.
"Princess, it was actually my plan. I suggested this idea to sir because -"
"You are not Mr Marino, right Mr Pablo? Don’t interfere if you want to go back to your house with your limbs intact," Elliana glared at Lucas, who immediately shut up.
"I was," Sebastian confessed, looking down at his feet, accepting his fate.
