"What are your further plans, Sebastian?" Stephano walked inside the King’s office, looking at his brother meticulously.

Sebastian, who has been reading reports of how things were handled in his absence with all the dead bodies and the tracking of the base of those rogue vampires, placed the documents down before looking at his brother.

"Plans about what, Prince Stephano?" Sebastian asked.

Stephano rolled his eyes at the formalities and pulled a chair before plopping down without being asked.

"I am not here to talk to you as your partner at work, Sebastian. I am here as your elder brother. Well, this is a question that everyone has, but they don’t know how to approach you since the times are crucial. However, I felt like this issue is important and should be addressed too," Prince Stephano said, and Sebastian hummed.

He looked at Ambrose and Harry, who nodded at their King and walked out of the cabin.

"If you think the matter is so important. Go ahead," Sebastian said, giving his full attention to his brother now.

"It’s about your wife, your ex-wife, I mean. What have you decided concerning Elliana? She gave you a divorce in public, so it’s known to everyone that you are not a couple anymore. What have you thought about it? Did you two talk? Is she willing to marry you again?" Stephano asked, and to say Sebastian was surprised would be an understatement.

He had expected to talk about anything but this, when his brother came to talk.

He looked at his brother for a few seconds before sighing.

"Honestly, I am trying. It was easier to marry her when she was a human’s daughter in the name of a peace treaty. Now I have nothing that I can use to force her to marry me. Things are difficult since she isn’t accepting my proposal," Sebastian shared his inner feelings with his brother for the first time, making Stephano sigh.

"If you want, should I go talk to her?" Stephano offered, but Sebastian shook his head.

"That might make things worse. It’s not that she doesn’t want to be back with me. I can see she has forgiven me despite how angry she behaves sometimes. It’s just that, with things going around, she is probably afraid that she is bringing more miseries my way.

She isn’t saying yes because she wants to deal with problems in her life before committing to me, and I am trying to find a way to tell her I am ready to bear everything together. If she is with me, I can go through anything, and we can fight the world together," Sebastian explained the dilemma of the situation.

Stephano hummed.

"I need to leave now. My Princess is still in the hospital. I left her without leaving a memo, and I am sure she must be pissed by now. I appreciate your concern. Thank you," Sebastian stood from his place, and Stephano sighed.

"Can I come? She helped us all, and it’s right that someone from the family officially goes to thank her since she has left the family but still helped," Stephano said, hoping to get a chance to be able to talk to her.

Sebastian looked at his brother before humming.

They were about to leave the royal palace when Angelo stopped them.

"Where are you guys doing? Is it to meet the princess? I want to come too. It’s already sad that I was out of two when everything happened. Let me go and thank her too," Angelo said.

Sebastian scratched his forehead, slightly annoyed.

"Are you guys going to meet Glory, I mean, Elliana too?" Vincenzo walked out, and Angelo looked at his brother.

Someone knocked on the door, and she looked at the door.

’Was Lucas already back with my favorite chocolate Oreo shake?’ Elliana wondered before saying ’Come in’.

"Miss Elliana, how are you feeling now?" A female doctor walked inside the room.

Elliana looked at the doctor before humming.

"I am feeling much better from yesterday. I guess the medicines are working well," Elliana said, her gaze observing the doctor’s movement closely.

"That’s good to hear," The doctor smiled frankly, looking at the herbal medicine with a scowl.

"Miss, you are a biotechnology student, aren’t you? How can you make such a mistake? We don’t mix allopathic medicines with ayurvedic medicines," The doctor said.

"Those are healing juices. It helps me. They won’t react with allopathic medicines," Elliana said, and the lady doctor hummed.

"Let’s check your BP and heartbeat, yes? Please lie down on your back," The doctor said.

Elliana did as she was told.

The doctor placed the stethoscope on Elliana’s chest to hear her heartbeat.

"Take a deep breath,"

"Release -" The doctor’s expression changed as she pulled the injection from her pocket and raised her hand to plunge it straight into Elliana’s neck, but Elliana, who was already suspicious of her, kicked the doctor away with all the power she could muster, making the doctor fly away, her back hitting the door, making it unhinge from its place and fall.

"Do you think I am a fool?" Elliana used her witch powers to reach her and held her neck in her hands, her eyes immediately turning violet.

"Who are you?!" Elliana asked.

Meanwhile, Sebastian and others who were walking towards her room, looked at the scene in front of them with wide eyes.

"Princess!" Sebastian used his vampire speed to reach her.

Elliana, who got distracted with Sebastian’s presence, and loosened her magical hold on the doctor’s neck, cursed out loud when the doctor under her arms vanished.

"What was going on? Are you okay?" Sebastian immediately scooped her in the arms, his gaze falling on the broken door before he looked at the syringe on the ground.

"I am okay," Elliana sighed.

"Put me down, Mr. Marino. I need to check something first," Elliana whispered, making Sebastian immediately put her down on the ground.

She turned around and walked to her bed, picking up the syringe in her hand.

She looked at the clear liquid in the syringe before she put some drops on her hands, looking at it with a confused expression.

It was just a drug that was used to render someone unconscious and wasn’t something poisonous.

It was obvious that the doctor was a witch. For her to want to render her unconscious, only meant that she was here to kidnap her. Elliana took a deep breath.

"Princess Elliana, are you okay?" Stephano walked ahead into the room.

Elliana looked at him before bowing slightly in acknowledgement.

"What was that all about?" Angelo asked.

"Prince Vincenzo, it’s good you are here. Come here, I need your help with a few things," Elliana moved her hand in an indication to call him closer, and Vincenzo rolled his eyes.

"I swear you order me around more than my parents ever did," Vincenzo grumbled, walking to her nonetheless.

Sebastian felt a bit jealous. Rather than looking at him, scolding him for leaving earlier, or using his manipulation on her, she was talking to his brother.

Stephano looked at his hopeless brother, who had a visible scowl on his face, and sighed.

"Can you all please leave us alone for a few minutes?" Sebastian said, and the three princes walked out without saying anything.

Elliana, who was trying to avoid thinking about the incident, sighed. She wanted to hide her fear behind her busyness, but it looks like Mr. Marino still caught it.

"Come here," Sebastian said, and she didn’t waste a single second walking to him.

"She was here to kidnap me. I am scared, Mr. Marino," Elliana whispered softly, allowing him to see the vulnerable side that she hid from everyone else.

"I know. I am sorry no one was here at that time. And thank you for not allowing it," Sebastian, who himself was scared of losing her, placed his forehead on hers before he picked her in his arms, wrapping her legs around his torso as he hugged her as tight as he could.
